How do i get my purchased songs back on ipod??

Hi
When i first got my ipod i downloaded songs to my ipod--ok good--then i went to my sisters house and she had about 500 songs to download....so i did........then i noticed that the songs that I downloaded (from my computer) are no longer on my ipod just the ones that i downloaded from her computer... i must have overwritten the library.....when i go into my purchased songs on MY computer i can see them but it won't let me update those songs without overriding the 500 songs i downloaded from my sisters computer! How can i get my songs back on my ipod without overriding the others????

Are you songs you purchased and are on your machine, still on your computer?

I recently switched from a pc to a laptop and am in process of moving my Itunes library to my laptop.I cant find my "purchased"songs .How do I recover my purchased songs and get them into my new laptop library? There is a record of my purchase in the Itunes store.

"Where do I find my hundreds of dollars of downloads I have done since 2005?"
They will only be where you put them  If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country.  You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

  • How do I get my purchased songs back?

My original problem was that iTunes wouldn't let me download my purchased songs. I had bought 2 songs that it said "couldn't be downloaded at this time" even though I could listn to the songs in the music app. No matter how many times I tried, those 2 songs wouldn't download. A few days later, I bought a few more songs. Those songs woulnd't download, they just kept saying "waiting". I think they were waiting for the original 2 songs to download first.
I was also having trouble with some of my apps, and I thought that it might be because I hadn't turned my iPod off in a while. I turned my iPod off and then back on. After I did that, I checked iTunes again. It still said that the original 2 songs couldn't be downloaded, but all the songs I had purchased that were waiting had been wiped off the list. They were all by the same artist, so I went to the artist's page to see if I could just download them from there, but it was showing the $1.29 that you press before you buy it. I don't have enough money in my account to re-buy those songs, and I really don't want to have to re-buy them. Because they hadn't been downloaded yet, I hadn't received a receipt in my email for the songs either. Is there any way I can get these songs back without having to rebuy them?

You can't get them back, if you deleted them.
The iTMS offers a download once and you are warned (urged?) to make a backup once you downloaded them.
You will have to buy them again, unless...
If you explain to the iTMS what happened, maybe they will offer you a re-download.
Use this http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/lostmusic/ form and maybe you're in luck.

  • How Can I Get My Purchased Songs Back?

Recently, my hard drive crashed. I did a data recovery and swapped out the hard drive for a new. After reloading all programs etc onto the new hard drive, i found that most of my iTunes were either missing or damaged. Many of them were from CDs, but a handful were purchased from the iTunes store.
Not only is my "purchased" folder not showing up, but I am missing a few of those songs. I thought all I would have to do is sign onto the iTunes store and they would appear, but it's apparently not that simple. How do I go about getting those files to show up in my library like they used to?

Apple has a strict download once policy so you can not redownload you purchased music.
It is often possible to recover files from a failed hard drive, but you might need professional help to do it.
If you have your iTunes data it should be easy to get it onto the new drive. You would need to say exactly what you managed to save, you need the iTunes folder and the iTunes Music folder.
If you have your Music on an iPod you can recover purchased music from it:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
There are many third party apps that allow you to recover everything from an iPod.
If none of these methods is available to you, the only hope is to explain the situation to Apple customer support and see if you can persuade them to make an exception and let you download again.

    Hello hmcc44,
You may need to delete the items from your iTunes Library, then redownload them.

If the issue persists beyond that point, I would recommend reporting an issue with the tracks to the iTunes Store.

  • How do you get iTunes purchased songs to automatically play one after the other

How do you get iTunes purchased songs to play automatically one after the other without having to hit play for each song ? Also I lost all my pictures on my iPad when I installed iOS 7 upgrade. Any way to get them back? Thanks. Dr Ron.

    Hi Dr. Ron,
By your question, I am wondering if you are playing your music from the iTunes app rather than the Music app?
In the Music App, you can go to any of the options at the bottom and click on a song to play and it will then continue to play the songs in that category. You can also select "Shuffle" to shuffle them.
As for your Photos, did you have them backed up anywhere?
    Cheers,

  • Updated iphone, lost everything, how do I get my purchased ringtones back on my phone?

I updated to the latest version today.  I don't know what happened, but I had no choice but to restore my phone to factory settings.  My most recent back up was several months ago, because I got a new computer and can't get my entire iTunes library to transfer to the new computer.  I've tried every single thing that has been suggested in the help sections online and nothing works.
I can figure out how to get my purchased songs back on my phone, but how about my ringtones??? I'm even plugged into my old computer, which had the last sync, and I see all of my ringtones, but there's no option to download them to my phone.
    Help.

Did you fail to transfer itunes purchases to your computer before updating?
You only get one download of ringtones.  As always it is your responsiblity to backup your content.
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception.

  • I had to buy a new laptop after my old one died, after authorising my new one nearly my whole library has disappeared. How do I get all my songs back?

I had to buy a new laptop after my old one died, after authorizing my new one nearly my whole library has disappeared. How do I get all my songs back?

Likely, because you are now using a different Apple ID and iTunes account. Return to using your old Apple ID and authorize only after you have de-authorized your old computer.
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.

  • I was 3-4 updates behind on ipad. Did back-up, installed update to ipad now how do I get my purchased apps back on my ipad?

I was 3-4 updates behind on ipad. Did back-up, installed update to ipad now how do I get my purchased apps back on my ipad? I assume they didn't back up to cloud since that came with this update. I can see all my purchased apps but no way to transfer them back to my ipad from whereever they are.  Wish itunes was more user friendly.  Help please.

If you are running iTunes 11 and if you didn't figure this out yet, when you launch iTunes - go to View>Show Sidebar from the menu at the top of the screen. Once you can see the sidebar, iTunes looks so much more familiar.
The "new look" iTunes doesn't appeal all that much to me, I just want the functionality that I have always had. It's still there, its just been hidden with a lot of fluff and visual wow that I really don't care about .... Just my opinion.

In the iTunes App there is a tab called Purchased. You'll find your musics there.

  • HT1473 How do I get a purchased song to play on my ipod shuffle remote from the docking station?

How do I get a purchased song to play on my ipod shuffle remote from the docking station?

I can think of only one reason a song would be "converted" while it is being loaded on a shuffle.
Select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, depending on iPod model, go to the Summary or Settings tab.  There should be a setting there that says Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC (the 128 kbps part may be adjustable).  If that checkbox is checked, try unchecking it.
NOTE:  This setting may allow more songs to fit on the shuffle, but for any converted song, the sound quality will become inferior.  So I don't use it.

  • HOw do I get my purchased music back after having to restore my Ipod touch

I had to restore my Ipod touch because of a corrupted file. How do I get my purchased music back?

The answer is that the iCloud advertising in Danish speaks of restoring apps, books and music and shows this, and in small print / gray print adds that in some countries this is not available. The Danish copy does not say that in Denmark the service is unavailable (suppose the English copy in US spelling showed the service, but did not say that the service was unavailable in the US).
    http://www.apple.com/dk/icloud/features/apps-books-backup.html
After another couple of hours of hunting around, a Knowledge Base article in Danish turns up which begins by saying that purchases from the App Store, the iBookstore and the iTunes Store are restorable, but in small print / gray print advises which countries the service in fact covers. Denmark is not covered.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4539?viewlocale=da_DK
Naturally, the Danish copy should in both the advertising and in the additional information start by clarifying that music is not restorable for Danish customers. Instead, the Danish copy extolls a service that does not cover the iTunes Store in Denmark. The term for this in Danish is 'vildledende markedsføring' which is to say that the marketing is misleading.
