How do i get my "recently added" playlist back on my phone?

When i synced my iphone 4 last night the playlist disappeared but it is still on my computer! I have synced twice since and no joy! Any thoughts? Also i have not touched any settings on the laptop!

Just play around and i'm sure it'll work . It took me a month or two but once i finally sat down i figured it out

Match the rule "Date Added">"is in the last">"1">"Days" make the days and the interval to suit yourself, you can have days, weeks or months.

It isn't set up that way. It is a smart playlist (right click on it to see details) which uses the "date added is last two weeks" command. You would have to change the date added on the tracks it contains to be older than two weeks, or do some other modification to the smart playlist such as only have it display items that had not been played at all. I don't know if there is an easy way to do that unless it is in Dougscripts.

Basically, I reset my computer (not rebooted; reset, as in wiped it clean) and backed up all my music. After putting the songs back onto my iPhone, the playlists like My Top Rated and Recently Played were empty, of course. For Recently Added, all of my songs were in there. I imported my playlists and most were back to normal. However, the first 13 songs in my Recently Added were the same as before I reset my computer, which I found really odd, so I figured that they were sorted somehow for that to happen--they had to be. The rest of the songs were all of my other songs.
Anyways, I can't find a way to get my Recently Added to just have those 13 songs and it's really irritating me. Is there a way??? Yes, I've tried limiting to 13 items. I've also tried sorting by name, and the "most recently/least recently added" options didn't work either. How can I sort it by numbering, as in the actual numbers next to the Artist name???
Also, notice how the first 13 songs are sorted by Name and after those songs, the rest are sorted by Artist Name. So, I'm thinking this issue is fixable. It's peeving me!

A smart playlist like "Recently Added" is based on the date that a track is added to your library. Since you erased your computer and re-built your library from scratch, all your tracks are considered "recently added" because iTunes assigned a new date to each song as it was re-added to your library.
Instead of re-building your library from scratch, and re-importing certain playlists you had saved, it might've been better to have simply recovered your "iTunes Library.itl" file. That is the index that points to where all your song files are, and contains all your playlists, and has properties such as ratings, last played date, and date added. As long as the native files for your songs are in the same place, you could re-use your "iTunes Library.itl" file if you saved a copy before you erased your computer (always back that file up along with your native files, the .itl file IS your library).
As far as why the Recently Added playlist starts with 13 particular songs, then proceeds with the rest of all your songs in alphabetic order, it is possible that either you (or iTunes) started adding the songs back with the 13 most recent songs you had previously added to your library before it was erased, and once those were added then things proceeded by artist in alphabetical order. Not sure, but there's really nothing you can do about that other than replace your .itl file with the original version if you still have it somewhere.

I'm trying to recreate the 'Recently Added' playlist that featured in the old ipods (4th gen.?) where it stored the songs you've just added to the ipod and each time you plugged it in it would replace the songs in that list with the new ones you've just added. The 'Smart playlist' at the moment doesn't replace existing songs with new ones except by manual overide. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Best suggestion: Buy some external USB or Firewire drives. Move your Library to one, back it up to another. A lot more reliable than DVD, a lot less work and much more convenient. For a start, you don't have to break up the library...

I accidently synced my iPhone with my iPad and now my "Recently Added" folder is missing.

Hey man!
Basically those playlists were just 'Smart Playlists' created by iTunes.
To re-create them, click File > New Smartlist. Then select 'Date Added', 'in the last', '2' and 'weeks. Live updating should be checked!
Then name the playlist 'Recently Added'

I have over 1800 songs in there. that doesn't do me any good. Can the "recently added" folder be emptied..or do I just have to remove the folder< which i don't really want to do?

Ever since the last download, I am unable to edit my playlists on itunes. When my phone is not plugged in, my playlists that are on my phone are not on itunes but my songs are. Only the default playlists show up. How can I get all of my playlists back?

How do I get my library AND playlists back?

Almost every song in my library is telling me that:

Every song that I have wanted to play, I was able to locate on my hard drive... but how can i get my entire library back into Itunes without tracking them down one at a time... While keeping all my playlists?
I have checked my *iTunes Music Library.xml*, and the locations listed in the library are correct.

This is how I fixed this problem on my sister's PC (Yes PC).
I deleted the itunes library.xml file.
I opened itunes and unchecked the 'organize' option.
I searched entire computer for *.mp3.
In the search results, I selected all mp3's that had been found.
I right clicked (yes PC) the selected mp3's and selected play with itunes.
When itunes opened, only one mp3 that was in the default itunes location opened.
I then went back to search results and dragged all mp3's onto the itunes player window;this in effect imported all music back into itunes but associated the player with the location of the music, in this case a 200 GB USB drive (F).
I then went back into the itunes options and rechecked the box to organize music.
This process took some time, as my sis has over 4000 songs.
Also, all playlists are gone, but I think I can recover these from the IPOD itself.

How can I get the 'recent pages' feature back in the navigation toolbar Firefox 4.x?

I use Firefox 3.6.17, Dutch version. At home i've updated to firefox 4. But I miss in this version one of the nicest features (i think): In the navigation toolbar on the left side (in version 3.x), you can browse back and forward and also there is a small arrow that shows the pages that you have visited (I don’t know the name in English, but in Dutch it is called recente pagina’s, literally translated recent pages). In version 4.x this little arrow has disappeared.
How can I get it back in version 4.x?

Hi macmac57. I don't memorize my numbers anymore, so I know how important it is to have all your contacts on your phone at all times. Did an update occur or a new application download when your contacts disappeared? Have you been backing up your device with your computer?
