How do i get my things off iCloud onto new macbook?

I had a macbook air and i spilt coke on it, apple quoted £1400+ for repairs so i bought a new one today as it is cheaper.
The hard drive was completely corroded so i have lost everything off it.
Im just wondering if i can get anything back via iCloud?
I have logged onto it but i don't understand how to get anything back? Or even how to check if anything was on it.
Please help!

Or even how to check if anything was on it.

How did you use iCloud, before your old macbook air stopped working?
You can only get back from iCloud what you stored there.
Sign into iCloud with the same AppleID you used on your old computer (in System Preferences > iCloud), and then enable the same services you used before:
If you stored Photos, Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc., in iCloud, these items will sync back.  Did you use documents in the Cloud with iWorks, or had you upgraded to iCloud Drive?
If you previously had used iCloud Drive, enable it, if not, then don't enable it right now.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming you mean photos in photostream.
Log into your iCloud account (settings > iCloud) and enable photo stream.

how do i get all my stuff off icloud onto my new iphone?

You should be able to sync calendars, contacts, mail, a few other things. iTunes Content should be available through the store under Purchased in the iTunes Store.
Be wary when syncing calendars and contacts, if not set up properly, it could erase the current data on your phone.

  • I got my phone wet how do i get my photos off icloud,

I dont know how to get my photos off photo share my phone was droped in the water and will not work.

Here's my standard blurb about a water incident:
"Whenever a liquid spill occurs the first thing that has to happen is the laptop should be shut down immediately. All power must be removed as soon as possible.
It is especially important that the battery be disconnected and removed.
No attempt should be made to start/restart the computer since this could potentially damage the logic board beyond all repair.
All affected parts must be removed from the laptop and carefully and closely inspected. Any involved area should be marked for special treatment.
Then all affected parts would be washed in deionized water and blown dry with compressed air. (In a water spill the deionized water is probably not as critical. Depends on the mineral content of the water.).
This is especially true of the large chips on the logic board. Liquid can wick under them and cause havoc for weeks if not months and years after the incident, depends on the liquid..
The logic board should be placed in a drying/dehumidifing oven for at least two days. Longer depending on the spill. The keyboard is a separate matter.
It will make it easier to help you w/ your problem to know the exact model, size, year built, RAM installed and OS you're running.
Also go to iFixIt and disconnect the battery.
Find your model and follow the guide:https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Mac_Laptop
While your in there take out the hard drive and place it in an external case or use a dongle to retrieve your data.

  • HT4519 I am using google contact and calendar on my computer now. How do I get my information off icloud into it?

How do I get contracts and calendar to sync to new window computer on google calendar

There is no way to export contacts or calendars from iCloud.
Manually enter the desired information into Google.
The closest that you can get to exporting from iCloud would be to sync the iCloud information to Outlook and then export from Outlook to a file that can be imported to Google.

  • New computer but original ipod-how do I get the stuff off ipod onto itunes?

I have had my ipod touch for about 6 months, and have my music and apps on it. Unfortunately the computer has had to have new hard drive etc, how do I get itunes onto the computer and then get my stuff onto ipod on there? Do I just plug it in? I dont want to try and then lose all my stuff?
    Thank you for any help!

Where is your backup copy? It is basic to always maintain a backup copy of all important info/music/pics/docs/etc.
Just use your backup copy to put everything back on the computer.
The music sync to ipod touch is one way - computer to ipod. The exception being itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
This will transfer itunes purchases ( make sure your computer is authorized and signed into your account).
The ipod touch will sync to one computer/library. When you sync your ipod to another, it will erase the content of the ipod, then replace with content from the new hard drive.

  • How do i get my music from ipod onto new computer when old computer died

my old computer died unexpectedly and now i have a new one ...how do i get my music from ipod to itunes...i don't want to lose it since i have already paid for it...

1). Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to sync automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. iTunes will only let you copy your purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads and including iTunes purchases) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
A selection of iPod to iTunes utilities:
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
SharePod Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iPodRip Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
Music Rescue Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
4). Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

  • E-mail filtering in iCloud mail is amateurish and nearly useless. No booleans. No nested rules. Can anyone suggest how I can get these things in iCloud or Mac Mail?

I need some real sophisticated filtering and I can't figure out how to do this with Mail on the iPad. No booleans, (and, not, etc.) no redirects. This is nearly useless in a real world setting

I'm afraid that whether or not there are any plans about this, Apple don't tell us. If they do decide to increase the facilities we will only know when they implement it. (And by the Terms of Us of these Discussions we are not allowed to speculate.)

  • My hard drive crashed with no backup.  How can I get the data from iCloud onto my Mac?

My hard drive went bad and needed to be replaced and I've lost everything that was on it (no backup - I know, I know...).  Fortunately much of my data was backed up either on icloud or my ipad but I haven't been able to find any information about restoring it FROM icloud or ipad TO my Mac, only about how to restore to an ios device.  I am running Lion.  Thank you!

I guess what I meant to say was that I can log on to icloud to see my contacts, calendars, etc but is there a way to get that data onto my computer?  In other words, how do I associate my new hard drive with my icloud account?  I am probably not phrasing this properly - sorry.  Three days ago (pre-crash) my desktop was configured to reflect my icloud info but I don't know how to make it do so again...does this make sense

  • How do I get my files from iCloud onto my new iPad?

Had you backed up your iPad to iCloud? You would need to restore from backup to retain data
