How do i get my video chat to work properly ?

when i video chat with another person they can see me and there self in there video chat box , but in mine i just see myself, not the other person, now if i use skype i have no problems , but some of my facebook freinds do not have skype, so how can i fix this problem ?

How do I get my videos to all work correctly in Photoshop Album Starter Edition Ver. 3.0?

I have been using version 3.0 for the last 3 years and had no problems with any of my videos playing once they were downloaded from my mobile phone or camera to version 3.0 until August 2007 but now a lot of them say 'The selected file cannot be played'. All the files that don't work are '.AVI' files and the only thing I can see they have in common is that in the file name it says -1x-1 next to the file size and length of the clip, whereas the working files have full numbers i.e. 640*480. I still have a couple of files downloaded after August 2007 that do play but not many. Is there any way I can change the settings or recover these files so they will actually play?

It seems to me that these problematic files may not be .avi files, or are corrupted; it doesn't seem likley that it's a setting in Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
Do any of those files play in Windows Media player? Another possibility could be that these files are sidecar files to your video files; are there similarly-named video files that work fine? If so, then I would suspect that these .avi files are, again, not .avi files, and could be simply text info that goes along with your .avi files, and could be ignored (removed from the catalog).

No. The iPad has a built in Camera that faces the front of the iPad you can use.
All you need to do, is download the Skype App from the App Store. Once downloaded, Open it, and sign into your Skype account. If you don't have one, you can create one using the "New to Skype?" Create an Account > " option at the bottom of the screen.
From there just tap on a contact to bring up the Details page, and tap on the Video Call button to start a call.

How can i get my n97 back to work properly?

I need some help, i don't know what to do with my n97...
I have updated its firmware every time was needed, i've done a lot of hard resets, i've free a lot of space in C, a lot of RAM memory and....it keeps randomly freezing!!
After six months dealing and struggling with it, i can say some sure things:
-I think it's a software problem, because every time i do a hard reset, it works perfectly without freezing for a while. Always after a reset all works fine, and always a while after, even if no aplication were installed, the phone start freezing.
-It worked quite good before the famous kinetic scrolling on firmware v20. Sometimes i try to select an option and the menu scrolls down again and again. I suggest that kinetic scrolling is optional in next firmware revision OR have the chance of downgrading the firmware through NSU, so i can install the firmware that works better for my device.
Does anyone has fixed this problems?i can't use this phone, i use it as a very expensive 32Gb portable hard drive, while i daily use my old n95 8gb, a very reliable phone.

How can I get "Edit in Photoshop" to work properly again?

I purchased and upgraded to Lightroom 4.0. Got things to work fine with some ACR updates for Photoshop CS3 that I'm currently using. Now have ACR 4.6 installed (the latest for my version of PS) as well as ACR 6.7.
I was able to make edits to the DNG RAW files in Lightroom 4.0 and then choose Edit in Photoshop (Command-E) and see those changes in a PSD file in Photoshop, where I could make further changes.
All of a sudden, I went to edit a photo in Photoshop and saw the original DNG file with no Lightroom edits. Some tinkering and update to Lightroom 4.1 but nothing can seem to make it show those Lightroom edits now when I go to Photoshop.
How did this break? How do I fix it?

My Lightroom 4 was doing a fine job rendering my changes to the RAW file as a PSD on the way into PS, especially after I downloaded Adobe Camera Raw 4.6 for Photoshop CS3. Then it just stopped, with no warning. To try to fix this problem, I downloaded ACR 6.7 and also LR4.1, but it's still just opening the DNG file when I run Command-E to edit in Photoshop CS3.
When I use Adobe Bridge CS3 to see the changes I've made in LR4.1 (especially after saving the metadata to the file with Command-S), it shows the updated changes but when I then open in Camera Raw or Photoshop, they're gone.
Thoughts? I'm worried because Command-E in LR4.1 just opens the DNG without modified changes instead of the PSD file as was customary.

It is hard to tell with out seeing what you have. But black is reveal and white is hide, with grays being the variance of the two. It would not reveal the mask, it would reveal the lower layers. I assume that what you meant, but I added it for new users reading this thread.

How do I get my imported form to work properly in Dreamweaver?

Our client has requested that we import forms directly from their old site to the new one we are creating for them. To clean the form up it was necessary to insert a table within it and reorganize the fields and titles. Unfortunately when I test the form out the confirmation page does not show the input information.
For example: Here is the original (old) form http://www.co.dekalb.ga.us/parks/contactus_form.htm that is currently active now. If you enter your information it goes through to the proper recipient and displays a confirmation page with all of the contact information you entered.

After being imported from the original source code and redesigned in Dreamweaver this form doesn't work properly. When I preview it on the server, fill in the fields and click submit, the confirmation page shows up with all of the field names but none of the information I've input.

No you don’t need to uninstall iPhoto but are you trying to edit a photo from the iPhoto Library?
If so export a copy from iPhoto to the desktop and then open that copy in the Elements editor.

Can't get video chat to work outside of LAN...

I can't get video chat to work.
All computers, LAN and WAN are running the latest iChat under 10.4 (including latest updates).
Within our LAN, via Bonjour, everything is fine.
I'm now trying to set up an offsite Intel iMac (10.4) and I can't connect via video chat with them.
I've had this problem in the past and eventually gave up (so much for "it just works" - I've spent the last 10+ years dealing with Macs and Mac-based networking, I can't imagine "my dad" figuring this all out). Trying again with fingers crossed...?
If someone could help, it'd be much appreciated.

The studio router/firewall is a SonicWall TZ 170 Standard.
This router has a static IP.
All suggested ports on the SonicWall are set up correctly to allow in/out from our LAN.
All computers on the LAN have static IP addresses.
Quicktime streaming settings set as suggested.
OS X Firewall on all computers = OFF.
No iChat add-ons on any computers.
Internet connection speed = 7404 kb/s
The offside router/firewall is a LinkSys WRT54G
This router does not have a static IP.
DMZ is ON and set to the only computer connected to it.
Computer has a static IP address.
Quicktime streaming settings set as suggested.
OS X Firewall on all computers = OFF.
No iChat add-ons on computer.
Internet connection speed = 5116 kb/s

I can not see that it does here
Opening the ports in the manner listed on that link will only allow one computer (IP) to use the open ports.
The Linksys is router and you have not mentioned what the modem is doing at that end.
Why not use UPnP here ? The Linksys does it (on the Administration page)
Most likely this needs the Respond to Anonymous Pings checked on the Security page.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

No. After upgrading (and of course make a back up first) you will need to update iPhoto to v9.6.1 (you won't be able to do this prior to upgrading). Here's how:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
Photos is v1 of a new app, as yes it's not as mature as iPhoto. It uses a different technology for working with external editors. That requires Adobe to write an extension to let it hook into the new app. Not done yet, neither has anyone else.
Going forward: iPhoto will run on OS 10.10., but there is no guarantee for subsequent versions of the OS. You might want to factor that into your anger term thinking.

As Steve observes, what you are talking about is called "PiP," or Picture in Picture.
He has given you the basics of creating a "split-screen" PiP, and that should be exactly what you wish to do.
For more detail, plus more ways to do PiP, I strongly recommend his book, Cool Tricks & Hot Tips for Adobe Premiere Elements 11, from Muvipix. He has an entire chapter (Chapter 10) on PiP, and many of its uses, with detailed instructions on the settings to accomplish it. Just that one chapter is worth the price of the book.

Help! How can I get my video to show on my website?

I created an interactive book in InDesign CS5.5 and exported the .swf file to my desktop to include all the media (a video) and the interactive page turns. I generated an HTML page and according to this page, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/827/cpsid_82754.html, there was supposed to be a 'Resources folder' with the video asset in there. However this folder was not created.
When I open the html page in my browser, everything works perfectly.
However, when I went to upoad the html and .swf files to my website, http://www.avantiandg.co.uk/ the last page with the video does not show.
My questions are:
1. How can I access the resources folder that is supposed to be created that I am supposed to upload to my website folder?
2. How can I get the video to load up correctly?

maybe a solution:
Videos contained in interactive files must be converted to M4V format before being imported to Indesign, AVI, H264 or MPG won't appear once the file exported to SWF.
In HTML the ressource folder is normally next to the root file of your site (index.html) no?
