How do I get my WOT addon back? It's being blocked somehow.
A couple of weeks ago, I ran a comprehensive malware removal process. Thereafter, my WOT (Web of Trust) add-on disappeared from my search function even though it shows that it is enabled. I downloaded it again, to no avail. I don't know if the malware removal process has anything to do with the disappearance of WOT or not. I am reluctant to search online since I don't know which websites are considered "safe". Are there alternative rating programs in addition to WOT and AVG's that are recommended? AVG often conflicts with WOT's ratings so I'd like to get the latter back.

I found a WOT community forum discussion on this very topic. It appears that Yahoo is the main culprit. One commenter suggested the following solution, of which I will try:
If you go directly to https://search.yahoo.com
and search from the yahoo website ( I think this is what is meant by regular yahoo) then the WOT ratings appear. If you use the yahoo search from Firefox's tile page, Firefox's home page, or the Firefox fox search box ( with yahoo as the default search) the WOT "traffic light" ratings do not appear.
If the aforementioned doesn't work for me, then I will have to use a different search engine.

How can I get my google homepage back after it was replaced somehow by ibox?
When I clicked on Firefox, instead of my Google homepage coming up, an IBOX logo appeared and I cannot recover my homepage. It had stock quotes, weather, the Drudge Report, etc. etc.

How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat. We had this working using Messages and Facetime (on the new machine) talking to my existing iChat account. One day last week, when Facetime rang, my kids answered on the iPad. Dang! Now it's all fouled up! The new iMac won't see my AIM account name and shows that I'm offline, because the iPad is off. We were able to call using "most recent call" in Facetime, but now I can't go and control that new iMac remotely to help with some email concerns the user is having. I'm trying to not personalize this too much, but it's grandkids talking to Grandma and Mom and Dad trying to solve new machine hiccups. Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?

I downloaded the new version of itunes and when i plug my phone into the computer and try and do something in itunes it wont let me because my device is synced to another itunes library. how do i get my old itunes back? or how can i sync my stuff into the new itunes with out deleting anything off my phone? Before installing 4.0.1 I could right click on the Firefox icon on my computer's taskbar and hit close window. It would then give me the option to "save tabs and quit" or "close all tabs."
Now it just alerts me that I'll be closing multiple tabs.
It was convenient to be able to close Firefox and open it with all of the tabs in place. There is nothing more irritating than having multiple tabs lost because your computer did an update overnight and restarted. Also it was helpful when you wanted to run a tun-up or cleaner that asked you close out of your browser for optimum result's.

ThanksFirefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

I have used the same Apple ID on my children's iPads. Both iPads are now showing as the same. How do I get the missing account back?
You can clear the iPad and start again with the other account> Settings->General->Reset->Erase all Content & Settings
Or you can go to Settings->Itunes and App Stores->Apple ID->Sign Out,
And Then Sign in with the other account. You can then download the Apps with that account. Though you may block the other account for 90 days.
Your best bet is to set it up again using the orighinal account it had, so you can get their Apps back. without affecting your account. -

Attempting to use it, the program informed me that I needed to be using, either, an EI or a Firefox Browser mentioning version 1.5 {I think it was} or later. The Firefox browser I was using was 3.something; so, everything was going along FINE. When I installed the video capture program, it added the plugin to the browser ~ PERFECTLY!!! I, also, had MANY other plugins that worked and that I used somewhat regularly!!! NOT ANY MORE!!! YOU and your TOTALLY INEPT, WISHTHEYWUZ "PROGRAMMERS" have STOLEN nearly HALF of my COMPUTER!!! I can, no longer, USE ANY OF THOSE PLUGINS, simply, because YOU "forgot" {let's say} to INCLUDE them in your new browser version 4. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THEM??? After syncing my phone my emails all showed up as unread. Even after reading them again! I still get the # of total emails in the red oval beside the envelope app picture. It used to only show the number of NEW emails. How do I get it to go back to that?? HELP!
Is there a setting in about:config that controls the length of the alltabs list? I would look for such a thing, and change the setting if it is there. A setting of -1 should make it limitless.
