How do I get my Yahoo mail icon back on my desktop?

I just had to have my phone wiped because it wasn't synching correctly with my work server.  It's back in order now - but my Yahoo icon is missing from my desktop.  Yahoo emails are showing up in my Messages folder, but I want the separate icon.
Any help you can offer is appreciated.
Thanks.

It seems to have disappeared and I have know idea what I did.

In each account, is Junk filtering enabled -- Mail Preferences/Junk Mail? Also, have you selected (account by account) to move any Junk message to the Junk Mailbox?

  • How can I get my hard drive icon back on the desktop

I just erased my hard drive on my Intel MacBook getting ready to give it to my daughter. I had the Snow Leopard install disc in the drive and used Disc Utility to erase the drive. I then installed Snow Leopard and everything went smoothly without a hitch.
Other than -- the icon for the hard drive is not on the desktop! I can open a Finder window and see everything that should be on the drive after an erase and reinstall, but the drive is not there.
How can I get it back?
    TIA
I am so sorry! This question has been answered more than once. I searched but didn't find it. When I posted this, however, the list of similar questions that pops up next to the message sent me to a simple fix and now all is well.
Again, sorry for having cluttered up the board with this question.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
I would recommend clearing your Service Book database on your BlackBerry smartphone using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and click on Backup and Restore, connect your BlackBerry smartphone to the PC and click on Backup to create a backup. Now click on the Advanced button and scroll to the Service Book database on the right hand side and click clear. Now disconnect your BlackBerry smartphone and remove the battery to restart it.
You will now need to log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service Website for your carrier to resend your service books.

I will address your second question.
First, make sure your iPhone and iPad have absolutely identical Apple IDs.  If they do, use that Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone to select the "Notes" option.  Lo and behold, all your iCloud notes should appear on your iPhone.

How do I get my yahoo mail on i phone 4s pushed so I get notifications when I receive e-mails?

ht4810 - hope that helps but other than that... Settings / mail contacts and calendars -  will be your only mail and push options. - i notice you may need to open mail app for new emails to be pushed to your device- other than that how ever long you have it set (every 15 minutes for example) is how often it will check for new emails for ya!

The only thing I can add to this question is that I can get on my yahoo mail through internet explorer

Set Yahoo as you home page, and set firefox to open the homepage when it starts. (Not to open previous pages).
    * see [[how to set the home page]] for detailed instructions <br/> all you need to do is drag the icon whilst you are on the page you require
    * see also [[options window - General panel]]

  • How can I get to Yahoo Mail from email links on Craigslist?

I have looked through the discussions, but I am not finding anything specific to my problem. I am not using Apple Mail at all. I am using a Yahoo email account only. When I am visiting a web site and I click on a link to email someone from that site, Mail always automatically opens. I have to copy the email address, launch Safari, access my Yahoo Mail, compose a new email, and paste in that address in order to send the email from Yahoo. It's a pain.
My question is this: How can I configure my Mac to NOT automatically open Mail but rather to automatically open Yahoo as the client from which to send an email?
The best example of when I'd need to do is when surfing Craigslist. When I see an ad I want to reply to, I click the seller's Craigslist-generated email link. I want THAT link to take me to Yahoo, not Apple Mail.
Any ideas or work-arounds that will enable that to happen?

There may be an solution but I don't think it will be simple and I don't know what it is.
One problem is when you say, "open Yahoo as the client." Yahoo isn't a client or application as such, it is just a web page. When you click on a "mailto" link it tells the browser to open your mail application, and Yahoo isn't an application.
The web page in [this link|http://www.tuaw.com/2006/11/07/tuaw-tip-change-your-default-browser-or-def ault-mail-client-wit> discusses some of the issues you are having. People were complaining that the only way to change your mail preferences was to actually set up an account using OSX's Mail application which was the one you didn't want to use anyway. However, the best you could maybe do using the utilities mentioned on the page is to tell your computer to set Safari as your mail application; I don't know how to get it to then go to the Yahoo website as part of the package. Maybe some kind of advanced scripting?
Edit: It looks like Yahoo also has a way of connecting directly to it using a mail application if you pay for the premium service.

  • HT4864 How do I get my yahoo mail to iCloud?

Is it possible to link my email from my yahoo account to iCloud?

I was unaware that Samsung was providing email services. Now, if you mean that it is RIDICULOUS (that's how you spell that btw, and I'm surprised that Samsung doesnt provide you with a basic spellcheck option) that your Samsung phone can check different email accounts and an iPhone cannot, you are dead wrong. iPhone can check ANY standards based email server that I'm aware of existing, and I've been in this game for 25 years.
If you mean that it's ridiculous that iCloud email doesn't function in all the same ways that GMAIL functions (mind you, that has JACK CRAP to do with Samsung and your point would be completely moot [that means that the point you were trying to make no longer applies because the facts or circumstances are different from when or what you asked]), why should it? They are different email products with different kinds of users in mind. Just like Yahoo Mail offers some of those features but charges you, where IC and GM do not charge you. Or for example where IC uses open standards for its integrated calendar notes and email offerings where GM had to steal active sync from Microsoft to rip off exchange and got caught, messing up lots of people's accounts.  Or AOL for example...good luck doing any sort of clean import or export of contacts. Or Microsoft (Hotmail) who stole Apple's business model (again) by moving to a single sign on for email and the rest of their services like apps, as did google (Apple's mobile AND desktop OSapps along with email messaging and backup services using a single username and password to provide GUARANTEED VIRUS FREE applications). Or how Microsoft's tile features look exactly like AOL's interface did 20 years ago.
    Blah blah blah.
Samsung uses Android. Do the research and you'll find out how EVERYTHING android started out with was directly stolen by google employees WHO WERE EXECUTIVES AT APPLE AND HAD DIRECT ACCESS TO THE TECHNOLOGIES THAT THEY STOLE.
But I digress. Samsung makes phones. They don't make the most popular and most profitable mobile OS in existence. They don't make a platform that CURRENTLY gives its users to over a BILLION ready right now to use applications that are GUARANTEED to be virus free and are required to follow standards before they can be published. Samsung does not make a cloud environment that that makes your most used and most important data available to you whenever wherever you need it. Samsung does not have more than 300 stores in the world where you can walk in and someone who has been trained by Samsung, who grew up using and loving Samsung products is waiting to help you all the live long day, just you, until your issues can be reasonably solved (reasonably, this means within policy limits, you don't get a free brand new one just because you think you should have one...try that at your ford dealership and see how fast they throw you out on your ear). Those stores where they will introduce you to and teach you the basics of your device before you even leave, and with a smile because they love doing it. Samsung doesn't even make the most repairable phone on the market today (more repairable means faster easier cheaper repairs when they are needed). Samsung doesn't stick to well tested modules in their devices. Cutting edge features are great, but how do they benefit you when they crash your phone all the time because they are basically experimental parts? Samsung did not completely revolutionize computing, mobile telephones, the entire music industry, tablet computing (or create devices that 2 year olds can use...easily...or that allow autistic children to finally be able to relate to the world around them, or provide LITERALLY a VOICE to severely developmentally disabled people who can't speak but can take their iPads to McDonalds or a gillion other places and speak by using pictures), educational publishing, or scientific research. Samsung didn't INVENT the culture that allows brilliant programmers, coders, chip monkey and artists to be more casual at work, and thus more productive.
And on and on and on and on and on.
Yeah...Im TERRIBLY concerned that Samsung is going to "run over Apple in a few more years."
Be honest, does it hurt when you think?

  • How do I get the app store icon back on my phone?

I accidentally deleted the app store icon on my phone and can't figure out how to download it back on to my phone

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted.  Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

  • After upgrading to iOS 7 how do I get (iOS 6) 3D icons back?

After upgrading to iOS 7 on my iPhone5 I was disappointed with the kindergarten quality 2D icons. It makes my expensive phone look like a toy.
I will put up with other issues with the new appearance &amp; layout but there might be a way of switch back to 3D icons. If not it might be the end of iPhone for me too.
I wasn't able to backup my previous iOS 6 setup so I'm stuck with iOS 7.. or get a different phone.
If you can help.. Thanks in advance

  • How can I get my old mail account back?

I f&%€ up and deleted my old mail account after I had added my new one ( I've changed ISP). So all old mails disappeared.
Is it possible to restore them my self? Or do I have to go to the Mac doctor?
    I'm greatful for all help

    Hi John and thank you.
    I use Mail.
I deleted the settings for the old account by mistake - I just thought I wouldn't need it anymore after having set up the new one - and suddenly the inbox was empty. A not so nice surprise
However I managed to find a folder named Mail with a POP - folder in it, in the trash can, which I dragged to my desktop. But I haven't been able to import it.
I found some useful earlier threads and intructions from some David Gimeno, so I removed the .mbox extension from the INBOX.mbox file.
BUT still, Mail won't import. It says it doesn't find any valid mbox files.
The INBOX.mbox is about 12 Mb, so I recconed there would be something in it.
