How do I get old information back from icloud

I purchased new Iphone and during the back up process I selected that it was an existing phone and not a new phone. I backed some apps prior to purchasing the new phone but it looks as if my selection of existing phone caused it to loose some of my newer information. IS there anyway of going to a backup that was done yesterday and restoring from that point.

No you shouldn't need to go to the Apple Store. Go to Settings > iCloud and choose Delete Account at the bottom. You can then sign into her account. You can then turn on contacts, calendars, etc.

When you did the backup, were the 1500 pictures all on your camera roll? Or were they on other Albums?
iCloud is not a storage device for your photos. You should be importing them to a computer or uploading them to a cloud storage facility like DropBox or Flickr.
Each time you do a backup of to iCloud, it creates a backup of what is on your phone at that moment in time. So, if you had some photos on one backup, but not the other, you would only be able to "recover" the photos from one of those backups. Photos in iCloud are not aggregative.
Also, the iCloud backup of photos only includes those photos or videos in the Camera Roll. Photos in any other album are not backed up:

If you had PhotoStream turned on, then the last month's-worth of PhotoStream, or the last 1000 PhotoStream photos would also still be viewable.
Can you tell us where those 1500 photos were located when you did your backup?
Sorry that you lost your photos. Take a look at DropBox in the App Store, or check out Flickr. If you aren't importing your photos on a regular basis to a computer, then these would be your best bet to protect your photos going forward.

HELP!!! I think this maye be of no use but.. I brought a new iphone on the weekend in sydney and I started using it right away and click on use icloud. I took many photos over the weekend and when I got home (sleep deprived) i plugged it into my laptop and it restored and went back to the settings of my old iphone wipping ALL my photos and videos of the weekend. Just wondering is there anyway I can get my photos and back from iCloud??? Thanks in advance...

There is a chance that those pictures may still download after couple of hours if you had your photostream on the new phone and if you turn it on now. Usually there is 30 days backlog in icloud photostream.

So I recently upgraded my iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5s last Wednesday. I had made sure to back it up with icloud 3 times on 3 different days prior to this. I received my new phone and it was backing up perfectly. Till I realized that my 1,500 photos hadn't uploaded and my phone wasn't letting me take pictures. It had only let me download about 300. I am devastated by the loss of these pictures. I have restored my phone multiple times and it still downloads the same pictures. I have no other problems. I called Apple and they said that the icloud only backed up these 300 pictures and my other ones were lost. But yet there were no signs of my backup being incomplete. How can I get my pictures back?

How do i get my stuff back from icloud. only part loaded to my new phone

I backed up my Iphone4 before it was switched to a new one by the Apple Store. My new phone uploaded, but it appears not all of my pictures from Icloud loaded on my new phone. I did not go over my storage space. I believe the upload was interupted and that may have cause the remaining items to load. How do i go out and get the rest of my pics. I can tell that last pic loaded was May2013. No pics since then are there.

Camera roll photos may take a while to repopulate your new phone, are you sure you have given it long enough.

I wanted to get out of iCloud. When I unchecked my Contacts I got a window that asked if I wanted to keep my contacts on my Mac or delete. I clicked "delete". I shouldn't have. Your Contacts are still in iCloud.
Sign in again, wait for your contacts to appear, then sign out and DON'T choose delete this time.

Assuming that you are using Pages 5.0, open the document from iCloud then select "File" "Move To...". Use the pull down menu at the top of the resulting dialogue box to specify where you want the file saved on your Mac.
If you are trying to save it on your iPad2 I don't think it is possible.

How do I get old wallpapers back from ios 6?

I recently updated my iPad to iOS 7, and I had my homesreen with an ios 6 wallpaper picture. I was looking around with the wallpapers when I accidently put another wallpaper. I wanted to change it back, but I saw that wallpaper is not there anymore! I saw some of the other ios 6 wallpapers, but not the one I had. Mine looked like this:
I also tried to save this picture to my camera roll to set it, but it won't fit on the screen. I am really frusturated with this. Please help.

I found this post. Go down the page quite away and soon you will see many wallpapers that look familiar. Your picture is there. Tap on the picture and you will be able to download it. It will show up in a photos after you have done so. Then you can add it as your wallpaper through settings.

I'm not sure what I did but I beleive that most of my music is in iCloud but when the songs show up on my phone they are all in light gray letters. They also won't play when I want to go through my playlist. Only the ones in bold black letters will play. Help!

there are a number of ways that this happens.
one way depends on how you add music to your phone.
if you restored you phone from a backup recently
what i would first try to do is connecting my phone to my computer, remove all the music, and then put it back on. depending on how much music you have that might take 20 min

I had iOS 5 installed, after doing some stuff I didn't plan on keeping I restored the phone again to fresh iOS 5. I had set up iCloud etc to sync my notes.
When I reinstalled, I set up iCloud again, but of couse did not want to restore from backup (I want to start fresh). Now the photostream etc synced fine, but my notes is still empty. Anyone know why they are not syncing like photos etc?

I restored from my backup and checked stuff out. Turns out the iCloud does not sync ANY existing notes. If you check in your notes accounts, 'on my phone' will have all your notes, 'iCloud' will have none. If you setup iCloud and set it to be your default notes account, then new notes will be synced to iCloud, but existing notes won't.
So just something to watch out for.
