How do I get past Error 1913 when installing LabVIEW 7 Express

I get this error, yet I can see the file in the exact location the error tells me to locate it in. Apparently LabVIEW 7 does not create the labview.ini file. The file I see present was copied from LabView 6.

Are you trying to install to a mapped network drive? This is not supported so could be the cause. It could also be that you are trying to install on a NT/2000/XP machine in which case you need to have local administrator rights to be able to write to this file.

How do I get past 995 mb when downloading Maverics

No matter what I do I cannot get past 995 mb when downloading Maverics. I have gone into debug mode in the apple store and have reset. I've deleted all of my cookies, I have a very fast Comcast business internet connection.
I can see the mb count and as soon as it hits 996 the downloading stops and I get an error. It tells me to use purchases but nothing is there and the only thing I see on the page is an error occured.
How do I fix this?

My download speed on our work LAN is 24.52 Mbps down and 4.57 Mbps up. We have Comcast business internet.
I also tried downloading using my iPhone which uses AT&T. I turned wireless off on the phone, made a bluetooth connection to my Mac (also had wireless turned off) and it also stopped at 995.
Right now, after failing to download, a blank button has appeared in purchases. A few days ago, that button would not appear after a failed download, so something changed.
Any thoughts? I really thank you for helping me.

HT4943 Error during download - I keep getting this error message when installing or updating apps

I subscribed to wired magazine and I am trying to download the first mag, however I keep getting an error message stating "error during download, try again later". I also get an error message when trying to resume paused updating of apps. I've tried turning ipad2 off and then on again but this doesn't work. Can anyone help?

There are all basic troubleshooting steps that have worked for other users in the past that were having problems downloading and updating apps. YMMV .....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

I have built an executable with installer from LabVIEW 7.1 app builder. The app installs/works fine, however 1 user reported 'Error 1305' when installing the app from a DOS subset on a WinXP machine. For example, a virtual drive is created using the DOS 'subst' command (see http://www.easydos.com/subst.html for more info), e.g. 'subst z: c:\temp'. Now when running z:\setup.exe, the error 1305 is encountered. If the same app is run from c:, e.g. 'c:\temp\setup.exe', it works fine. Is this a bug in the installer, or in the OS...?

This is an architectural issue with the Microsoft Windows Installer and Windows, and will occur with any MSI (not just those from the app builder). Under XP, a MSI cannot install from OR install to a location created by the "subst" command. My understanding of why is that installSequence runs in the context of the MSI engine, which is running as "system" user. But the subst command is a per-user setting (local to your account) so the MSI engine doesn't see it.
The only workaround is to run the MSI from a non-subst drive, or instead use network file shares (you can simulate what "subst" does by mounting an exported file share from the same machine).

Ok so I just updated to 2.0 on my old iPhone and now I am trying to activate. I keep getting a Error -4. I hear there are ways around this but I can't get it out of the other threads. Any help?

I downloaded and reinstalled iTunes 7.7 (used software update the first time). It finished the upgrade on the first try when I reconnected my phone to the computer.
I tried that clicking solution for awhile, got all the errors, to include the -4 one and this seemed to work.

I have been trying t install Java 10.5 update 4 in my computer. My compputer was upgraded from Mountain Lion to Mavericks.
Whenever I try the install Java, I get an error message saying Java for Mac 10.5 update 4 can't be installed on my disk, as that software can only be installed on Mac OS X Leopard. I know Java 10.5 is the lattest version, so why can't I install in on my Mavericks system?

Java 7v52 is the latest Java.

How can I get past a Snow Leopard install disc hang-up?

Trying to upgrade 2009 Mac Mini to Snow Leopard from 5.6.8. Install disc won't allow install to Mac HD because it insists Time Machine is using Mac HD for backups, but it isn't. Time Machine is using a partitioned 1T external drive. How can I get the install disc to acknowledge and upgrade on the internal HD?

Allan, There was exactly that file on the internal HD - and on each of the three partitions of the external drive. I dragged all such files to the Trash, which seem to eliminate much of the file(s), but the Trash won't empty completely because of a message that "BootX" is locked, as is "boot.efi" - though I'm instructed to hold Option and Empty Trash (which won't hightlight; actually a "continue" button is the only choice in a dialog box). So now I'm not sure any of these "locks" are clearing; I want to re-start the computer before trying to install Snow Leopard again, and I can't have this hung up in the Trash in any case. Anything more you could suggest?
