How do I get photos from iPhone to laptop?

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me. Recently my laptop was stolen and I lost all my photos on there that meant a lot to me and I would like to get them back. Fortunately, the photos from my stolen laptop are synced in folders on my iPhone. Does anyone know how I can get my pictures from my iPhone and onto my new laptop?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is covered in the manual.
You import them as you would with any digital camera. They are not part of the sync process at all.

You should be importing them regularly as you would with any digital camera:

I am the same person that posted this question about getting photos from my iphone 3GS to my laptop. Here is what i found. You have to goto Windows Photo Gallery under programs and click on File in Windows Photo Garllery. Then click on Import From Carmera Or Scanner. Then a task box will come up and I saw my iphone icon clicked on it and the photos were sent to my Windows Photo Grallery. I have had a iphone for almost three years from there start almost. Have had all the version of the iphone up to the latest 3GS. this is the first time I have had to use this method to do this.. Hope this helps. Thanks to any one who tried to respond to this post. I don't fully understand your question (don't use sync pad), but you do know that you can transfer photos/videos directly from the phone to the ipad with the camera connection kit? They appear as events/albums in the Photos app. Brief tutorial (done with ipod, but it's the same for phone):

If you connect your phone to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases then it should copy over - and if using a Mac with Mavericks or Yosemite on it then do File > Move Books From iTunes in its iBooks app.
But unless you have a Mac with iBooks app on it (i.e. it has Mavericks or Yosemite installed) then you're unlikely to be able to read it on your computer, the majority of ibooks have digital rights management on them which requires the iBooks app to be able to read them - books which don't have DRM tend to be free ibooks and those from a few publishers e.g. O'Reilly

On your Mac: open System Preferences, select iCloud. Either create an account, or login if you already have one. Ensure that everything you want to synchronise between your Mac and your iPhone is ticked. In this case especially 'Photo Stream', but I find it useful to synchronise Calendars, Notes, Contacts and Reminders. If you use an @me.com email address then synchronise Mail as well - I don't.
On your iPhone: go into Settings, select iCloud. Login to your account (if necessary). Ensure that 'Photo Stream' is turned on.
That's it, photo's taken on your iPhone will automatically synchronise with your Mac, and photos in the 'Photo Stream' folder of iPhoto on your Mac will automatically synchronise with your iPhone.
There are other advantages to setting up iCloud if you have both a Mac and an iPhone, e.g. 'Find my Mac' which despite it's name enables you to find your iPhone as well, which let's face it is much more likely to get lost or stolen.

Select the backup you created earlier.

I know exactly what you're going through. I may win the prize for having the most number of photos on my iPhone (2,397) that couldn't get downloaded. I have never been able to export photos from my iPhone to any of my Macs using iPhoto or Image Capture. (And yes, all OS and apps are the latest revisions). Nor have any of the popular apps like Picasa2, Adobe Photoshop Elements, or Windows native Camera & Scanner Wizard been able to do it on my Windows machines. BUT, the only 3rd party app that I had any success with was the Tansee iPhone Transfer Photo program. It downloaded 884 photos from my iPhone before that app stopped working, for some reason. It cost $20USD and works on Windows only. You may have better luck than I downloading all your photos.
