How do I get QT Pro onto my new box?

I bought QT Pro three years ago and no longer have the computer I installed it on, but want to activate it on my new tower. I have my Installation Keys, but I can't get to a window to enter them. When I try to register QT Pro, I am stopped at a window asking for my REGISTRATION CODE. I have no idea what that is. That term isn't listed on my reciept and I cannot go further in the registration process without it. This kind of thing is very frustrating since I am being kept from using software that I bought and the information I need isn't available in my apple account. Please advise.

The Pro key is entered by opening QT Preferences and going to the Registration section. The key number and name should have been sent to you in an email confirmation of purchase letter.
All that is probably beside the point since you are probably trying to use QT 7 (new tower?) and if you are running Tiger you have no choice but use 7. A three year old key would probably be for QT 6 and that key is invalid for QT 7.
Sorry but you will probably have to fork over another $30 for a new key.

    Hi chrisb75729216,
I checked with your account but could not find any order history so you might be using another email address on forums.
You will first need to deactivate Acrobat from old machine and then install Acrobat on the new machine by activating with the same serial number.
Please download Acrobat XI pro from here: Other downloads
If you have single user license, then remember that the software can be activated on maximum two computers, say your desktop at work and laptop at home.

  • How do u get your songs onto a new itunes library???????????????

MY WHOLE COMPUTER SYSSTEM HAD 2 GET WIPPED, I STILL HAVE MY SONGS ONMY IPOD BUT I CANT GET MY SONGS ONTO THE NEW ITUNES I JUST DOWNLOADED. HOW DO I GET THE SONGS FROM MY IPOD ONTO MY COMPUTER????????????????? PLEASE HELP ME

If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • How do i get my apps onto my new imac?

I have 40-50 apps on my iphone and ipad2. how do i get these apps onto my newly purchased 27" IMAC?

Did you have a Mac or PC previously?
You can use the Migration Assistant to move your files easily: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4889
Otherwise, you can simply copy your old iTunes folder over to your new Mac. It should contain all of your previously purchased apps.

  • How do I get old library onto my new computer ?

I've just bought a new computer and need to know how to download my songs etc onto the new computer. I turned on home sharing but not sure how that works. Any help out there ?
    Thanks

what you want to see in iTunes is this (view from my MBP's iTunes seeing the library on my Mini)
if you then click on the house icon, it will change to this and the shared library will load. at that point, two buttons will appear in the lower right corner of the iTunes window, being settings and import
now you should be able to import any content from any shared library by selecting the content and clicking on import.
if the icon looks like this , home sharing has not been set up correctly.
in order for home sharing to work
    (a) iTunes on all machines must be authorized for the same iTunes store account
    (b) all machines must be on the same network
    (c) all machines must have access to the internet.
these reads will be useful: one and two.

  • Old computer is broke, how can I get my songs onto the new computer?

My other computer with Itunes and all my songs was dropped and broke. We were unable to recover any of the songs. I have all the songs on my ipod though. So I downloaded Itunes onto this new computer, and now I am trying to add my recently downloaded songs to the ipod, and it keeps telling me that I need to erase the library and replace it with the new library. I don't want to lose all the songs I have now! What can I do? Is there any way to put all the songs from my ipod into Itunes just by using the ipod??

Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. • How do I get Windows XP onto my new mac running lion when boot camp only gives me the option for windows 7

Hi   I have been trying to partition my hard drive on my new Mac so that I can run some windows specific programs and I wanted to use Windows Xp because I beleive it to be suitable for my needs + becuase its now an older OS it's cheaper.
My version of Mac is running the Lion operating system and when I start up the boot camp assitant I only get the option to install windows 7. If I proceed and put in the XP installer disc I get a message "Installer disc not found- insert disc and wait a few moments".
The Xp disc is supposed to be a full version- at least thats what the guy who sold it to me claims, anyone any solutions on how to proceed or do I have to buy Windows 7?
    Chris

With OSX Lion Apple has removed support for Windows XP and Windows Vista from BootCamp.
That leasves only Windows 7 as a viable option to use.
You can however use Virtualization apps like the free VirtualBox to install and run XP on your Mac.
Commercial ones are Parallels and VMWare Fusion.
