How do I get QuickTime to open documents on the screen?

iMac G3 OS X 10.3.9 (Classic environment is retained)
Processor: 450 MHz PowerPC G3
Memory: 1GB SDRAM
I updated Quicktime Pro 7.1.2 to 7.1.3 today. When I attempt to access websites, the addresses appear in the URL space and the QuickTime logo appears, but the document does not open. I had this problem before today's upgrade, also. Help?

With this type of question, it is usually helpful to provide the actual URL to the web page that is causing problems in order to see what kind of file/codec is involved. For instance, many sites incorporate Flash intros into their home page. Unfotunately, Apple recently added a "Flash Enable" option to the "QT Preference > Advanced" window which is not enabled when the application is initially installed. This may or may not have anything to do with your current problem.

and you call getGraphics() it returns nullI learned to not use the getGraphics() method. Check out my posting here where I ask what the getGraphics() method is good for:

Also, c.getFontMetrics(c.getFont()) will be an NPE because Font is initially null.Maybe I don't understand the question. The following works for me:

Drag the iCal window to the upper left corner of the screen and drag the window size bars on the bottom right corner of the window to the full size of the window.
Click the green button if you want the window to fill the screen, while retaining the mini month view.

Since upgrade to 3.6.7 the emoticons window on a forum I use always opens full screen, not as a small window. How can I get it to open as a small screen again.

Since upgrading to 3.6.7, when I go to a forum I'm active on and click the emoticons icon in the reply box, the emoticons window opens full screen, and not as a small screen like it did before. I can click on the box to make it small again, but next time I open it, it's back to full screen. Ok, not a major problem, but really rather annoying. I've tried to find a way to get it back to opening the way it did before, but to no avail. Does anyone know how I can solve this little problem?

No-one got any ideas on this then? It's definitely a firefox problem, as when I open the forum page (mentioned in the OP) with Opera or Chrome, the emoticons window opens as a small window, same as FF used to before the upgrade.

How can I get bookmarks to open directly underneath the folder in the sidebar to save width space?

Just reset Firefox(latest version) as it was running slowly, now much better but I had customized the bookmarks sidebar so that everything (folders, bookmarks) opened directly underneath each other rather than one step to the right. This saved space. This customisation has gone and I can't find how I did it as it was an answer somewhere at least a couple of years ago. Please help. Thanks

You would have used code in the userChrome.css file to achieve this.
Add code to the userChrome.css file below the default @namespace line.

I asked this before and deleted message because the solution worked. However, the solution only worked for that one day. I reopened today and the window size is again at 'normal' and I do not remember how to fix this so tbird is at FULL screen on my pc

Given what the OP wrote, he is running Lion (which doesn't display the tools palette when we use the Full Screen mode.)
In this system, there is a Full Screen icon in the right top of the window.
As I already wrote it is made of two small arrows inclided with 45°
The screenshot was made when working in standard mode.
To quit the Full Screen mode just hit Escape.

Bookmarks are shown permamently on the left of the screen.How do I get rid of them,so that the screen is not limited. I also do not have "print" oe "file"tabs at the top. I think it is all too complicated.

The Bookmarks are shown permamently down the left had side of the monitor acreen. I cannot find a way of removing them. I usually see the Bookmarks via the Firefox tab at the top left hand of the screen .
You information pages refer to tabs such as "file" ,"print", "view" etc on top , but I do not have these either.
I am afraid that I find this all too complicated

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
