How do I get read & delivery receipts for messages?

How do I get delivery & read receipts for messages?

You can only get Read receipts if the person you are messaging has enabled Read Receipts in their own settings menu.
Delivery notifications are on by default, and appear below the last message sent.
Note that these only work with iMessage, the blue messages.

  • Read / delivery receipt for PO forms sent by email

    Hi Experts,
I have one requirement to implement the delivery receipt for all the PO forms sent by email.
I have a question that I need your support:
    - As we have different companies codes operating and not all would like to receive the delivery receipt, can I restrict the notifications, for example, by company code or by purchasing organization?
    Kind regards,
    Francisco

    Hi,
It has to be with Co. Code but via Plant. You will have to maintain entries of plant (and preferably Co. Code) in a 'Z' table and write an enhancement to check entries in the table before sending. Those available shall be sent.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I get a delivery confirmation for sent sms?

As far as it seems my iPhone 4 can't display any confirmation wether the receipient of my SMS got it delivered to their phone? Why was my first phone about 12 years ago able to do that but my modern iPhone isn't?
With the Messages rework including iMessage in iOS 5 I hoped to get such a function for normal SMS too but I'm frustrated you guys from Apple still didn't add that really basic and rudimentary feature.
Please add some small feature that shows "Delivered" below a SMS when my provider has delivered it to the receipients phone, like you already did for iMessage messages. If phones from the stone age can do that then it is a shame if the iPhone can't. I doubt it is much working time for you guys programming that thing.

Hrm well, you're right, it is a network feature. The lack of the automatic request should be fixed though in my opinion. I can't force any provider to add it but when it is available, then why should the device not make any use of it, at least if the user wants it explicitly?
I fear you're right too with your assumption that they'll probably never add that though. Someone already mentioned to me that the SMS has way not that importance in other countries than it has in Germany, especially for the younger generation. Our providers make most of their money not because people are using their phones for calling each other but for sending SMS to each other. Comparing iMessage with the traditional SMS is wrong in my opinion though. It is not that I wouldn't like iMessage, the idea behind it is great. The problem is, most of the people I'm texting with either have no smart phone at all or are using some Android model, so iMessage doesn't work with them and I have to use the traditional SMS system instead.
If the code for getting that confirmation is different from provider to provider, how can it be that other phone manufacturers provide that feature then? The only two possibilities are that those phones have a list of all providers of all countries in it, which I doubt because providers can change and can change their network features too but old phones weren't able to do any updates on the firmware like modern ones can do today or the other possibility would be that there is some international code or stuff too which is the same for all providers worldwide.

Agreed. Web based email system do not have read receipt request option..  One needs to use TB, outlook or Windows Live Mail to request read receipt but the recipient can refuse to send one.  I never allow any read receipt to be sent from my machine.

  • In Mail, how can I get the type face for messages to be seen?

By that, I mean when I open Mail and go to type an e mail message the type face is really quite small to the eye, yet it is set to be published as Tahoma 12. The only way I have found to enlarge it so that it can be read easily is to use Command and + or - as the case may be.
Is there some way that the New message window can have a viewing size that reflects what is the type face being used? Or do I hve to have the window open as full screen?
The same problem is there with new messages being received. The size in the message window is quite small and I can't be doing with manually enlarging it all the while.
    Thanks

No. Screen resolution has no effect on the size of text in the new message window. It looks as if Mr Apple has done it again and produced something that is missing. Simple logical items so that things can be adjusted simply and easily. One pace forward and fourteen backwards.
It would be nice if I could simply reinstall Mail on the principle that it is corrupt, but that can't be done or at least I can't see how it can be done with out reinstalling Mountain Lion again. I am certainly not going thru' that hoop again with one and half hours downloading it!
I suppose the next thing is to get another Mail programme, but what is a good simple one to use on an iMAC?  Why do they have to make the things so difficult?

  • How do i enable read or delivery receipt for Mail?

how do i enable read or delivery receipt for Mail?

I entered this code into terminal replacing "your name" with my email address:
    defaults write com.apple.mail UserHeaders '{"Return-Receipt-To" = "[email protected]"; "Disposition-Notification-To" = "[email protected]"; }'
I've read it worked for some, but I could not get it to work. Does Mail automatically override this?

  • How to get the delivery number for the sales order

    hi
how to get the delivery number for the sales order

    Hi,
    1. IN VA03, enter the sales order and click on the document flow button. From there you can check the delivery document.
    2. In SE11, enter VBFA(Document flow) table and enter the sales order in VBELV field and in VBTYP_N field enter 'J' to specify that you want to check if there is already a delivery document for that sales order.
    Hope it helps...
P.S. Please award points if it helps...

Not sure if it works in Mountain Lion.
Note that those only work if your recipients have allowed it to happen.
Also, Mail will not respond to them at all.

  • Mail how do i set a read receipt for messages I send

mail how do i set a read receipt for messages I send

    Hi Sunny
There's no built-in option, and the workaround is rather complex. I would advise against it, since "read receipts" are not a standard part of the email protocol, and most email clients cannot return receipts or have it turned off anyway.

Is there any way I can get a return receipt for my email after it is read by the party I send it to?

There is nothing even remotely reliable.
If a receipt is important to you, send a letter certified mail.
I have occasionally received an e-mail that requests a receipt prior to reading it. I do what everyone does, I delete the e-mail unread.

  • How do I set the delivery policy for a queue in iMQ 2.0?

The list on page 67 of the 2.0 administration guide appears to be
incomplete. Specifically, I'm interested in knowing how to set
the default delivery policy for a Queue through the jmqobjmgr command.
I need the valid attribute name to pass in to jmqobjmgr.

The "queueDeliveryPolicy" is an attribute of a queue
created in the broker - not in the administered object
destination so that is why you are not seeing that
attribute on the list on page 67.
By default, the broker by will use the "single" queue delivery
policy unless you choose to change the values of the property
    "jmq.queue.defaultdeliveryPolicy" to SINGLE, ROUND-ROBIN, or
FAILOVER. If you would like to do this, see the Chapter 4
in the admin guide on "Starting and Configuring the Broker".
It may be easier to set the delivery policy for just one queue.
To do this, you can use the following command:
    jmqcmd create dst -n myQueue -t q -o "queueDeliveryPolicy=f"
where valid values to queueDeliveryPolicy is f, s, r.
You can do a 'jmqcmd -H' to get more info on queue attributes or
see Chapter 6 in the admin guide on "Creating and Destroying Destinations".

How do I get the serial number for my phone that has been stolen?

From the box it came in.
From iTunes if you backed it up to iTunes.
    From the receipt.
From the retailer if they have those records.
You can get the IMEI number from your carrier, which is linked to your serial number.

  • Delivery receipt for mail

Is there a way to receive delivery receipts for email sent from iphone IOS8.1
Had a couple of cases when emails haven't arrived for some reason so would be good to get a message to say it's been delivered OK
    Cheers

That would depend on using a mail service that offers it, as well as an app that supports it. In many cases, even though your service may support it, the recipient's may not. For what its worth, Microsoft's OWA app doesn't even support it (even though it is a function of Exchange Mail Services).
And frankly, most recipients find it - at best - an annoyance.
