How do i get rid of album ratings

How do I clear a rating for an album in iTunes 12.0

If the issue is with the hollow star auto-ratings my scripts ClearAlbumAutoRating and ClearTrackAutoRating can be used to set a rating of 1% which displays as no stars and suppresses any auto-ratings.

  • Getting rid of Album Ratings (white stars)

How do I get rid of all album ratings.
One used to be able to remove some of them using a grid and then choosing albums ratings on a pop-up menu - then setting to none.
In the appallingly crap iTunes 11, this doesn't seem possible.
Ok, it's official iTunes 11 is total rubbish for many reasons.

Go to the iTunes main library, right click on the track(s) with the artwork you wish to delete and select "Get info".
Click the "Artwork" tab, right-click on the image, and select "Delete".
Sync your iPod to reflect the changes.

  • How do I get rid of album art on iPad?

I upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 today, and I hate it. But what I hate most of all is that all my purchases had album art automatically downloaded for them, even though I intentionally delete all album art from every song I buy. I have no idea how to get rid of it from my iPad, and I'm afraid that when I sync to my laptop, it will get the album art too. I don't want often-ugly art attached to my music.

    Well that's a new one.
No, that isn't something that is configurable. And in my experience, the only cover art the Music app picks up on its own, rather than the sync source, is for the Artist view. I could be wrong (like most of users on the planet, I do use and maintain cover art). But it is not likely to sync over to your laptop, either.

  • How do I get rid of album covers when I want lists?

I just downgraded to iTunes 11.  I can only get actual lists in Playlists, but not in "Music". Clicking on a category just fills the window with basically  information-free album covers(Not all of the contents even HAVE covers) rather than information. How do I get lists back?

    Well that's a new one.

Is it permanent once downloaded? Or is there some way to hide or get rid of it that I'm missing? Please reply. Thanks.

Right click on the song in your library, choose "Get Info". When this box opens, click on the artwork tab, then click on the artwork you don't want and hit the "delete" button. Save and close. You can add new artwork, or leave the box blank and then you'll get Apple's generic artwork symbol.

  • How do i get rid of Album by Artist

Down the left hand side of iTunes music list there is a column that is labled "Album by Artist."  It is not too bad to if you have songs sorted by Album but if you sort by song name you get all these large blocks on the left and the list is long and hard to read.  I haven't had this column before and I can't find how to delete it.

Try clicking on the tab itself. Unless it's changed in version 10, that tab toggles from Album to Album by Artist to Album by Year. If you don't want the album column, go to view and turn it off.

  • How do I get rid of albums?

I finally figured out that I can batch import folders into separate projects. But when I do it this way, it adds an album underneath the Project. If I import indivual folders into projects the images just go straight in, no Album. So I'm mildly curious as to why Aperture added albums to all these projects, but more curious to know how I can remove them, and still have the images directly in the Projects. And it would be nice to know how to set it up so it doesn't automatically add the Album when it imports folders into Projects.
Somebody toss me some clues, please?

To delete an Album, simply select the Album (not it's contents) and hit Command-Backspace. The images will all still be present in the Project as Albums only ever contain references back to the Project, not the actual images.
When you import 'Folders into a Project' the lowest level of Finder folder is represented by an Album to keep the same organisational structure that you had before. So no, there's no way of avoiding it when using that way of importing images.

  • How can I get rid of album artwork in lists?

I cannot view my song catalog by album or genre in iTunes 11 without artwork - images of albums, or, more often, a blank square witha treble clef. This makes scrolling through lists very difficult. Is there a way to shift to a simple text list?

Well, not sure - so exactly what resolution do you use to shoot? Go in your camera settings and check. And, is there a settings to choose for regular/extra/fine/superfine quality? I shoot at the highest quality - period. My size/resolution is either widescreen or larger than what I need for the movie. My TV is HD 720p - that means the screen will display 1200 x 720 pixels in HD; if you have a 1080p, it'd be 1920 x 1080. So shoot in a size a bit larger than that because they can be adjusted down without any quality loss, but can't be made larger without significant loss of quality.
But,again, the problem usually doesn't start until you add movement, but camera quality has something to do with it as well. I know that a previous camera I had was not as good and a lot of my slideshows/movies didn't come out as perfect as I would have liked. So I bought a more expensive camera - shoots in full 1080 HD and I haven't had a problem since.
As for exporting a slideshow: finish it in Photo to Movie and export to desktop at highest quality (will take a while). Here is a screenshot of my export settings:
Once done, you can simply choose that movie by going to "import movies" in iMovie and navigating to the location (I usually save to desktop - easy to find).

I have the iPhone 4, and yesterday I synced my photos onto iTunes, but now I have albums on my phone that cannot be deleted, and there is not an option to delete the items in the albums individually... How do I get rid of these unwanted albums? Using Windows 7.

If you used iTunes to get the photos on the phone, then use the same iTunes and uncheck the music you don't want and do another sync.

Make a temporary backup of your library (if you don't already have a backup of it) and launch iPhoto with the Command +Option key held down and rebuild the library with options #1, 2, 3 and 6 selected.

iPhoto 9.6 cannot open iPhoto Libraries on CD/DVD. The iPhoto Library needs to be on a writable storage.  Copy the iPhoto library from the disk to a folder in your Pictures folder. And then run the iPhoto Library Upgrader on that copy, see this link:  iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader
