Even after I clear history and cookies and data on my iPad the webpage "t.homedepot.com" keeps showing up in the minized screen of Safari. When I touch it to maximize the browser to full screen it disappears and the last page I was browsing reappears. How do I get rid of this so that Safari is showing the true page I was on? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.

try a reset:
Hold both the Home button and the Power button down for 10+ seconds until the Apple logo appears. Let go promptly when the Apple logo appears, and wait another 30 seconds for your iPad to turn itself on. No data will be lost.

If you used iTunes to get the photos on the phone, then use the same iTunes and uncheck the music you don't want and do another sync.

Thank you Niel n rKaufmann. since i posted i discovered i'd asked the wrong question. i shoudov said: how do i rid my computer of http://www.microsfthelp.com jamming my computer - learnt that it's a sales pitch. if they think i'll b buying… @ 1st simply quitting Safari worked, but when i went 2 history 2 open my last windows, well, u must kno. went 2 answer Niel. but rememberd it's a url doing this, i figger it must also b in my cache. removed it. then got an email i had 2 answer. when i opened Safari again everything was fine until i reopened my tabs in history. the page 2 answer Niel was gone. then quitting didn't cut the mustard anymore, i needed 2 force quit. cleaned cache. everything's fine now, xcpt my lost tabs.

mr. Kaufmann, in System Preferences, i find Network in Internet & Wireless, n that only deals with my connectivity - IP address n DNS Server. But in Personal, i have Security n Privacy. FileVault is on (shoud it b off?). Firewall's off. now, i have no idea how 2 turn… oh, u'r saying router. i'm only using a modem presently. disconnected router a while back, it was slowing my 20 Mbps connection down 2 under 5. didn't have time 2 call manufacturer 2 find out what the fluff. now, why woud my keyboard have jumped from Canadian French 2 U.S. in this excitement?

You can use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:

You installed the "VidX" trojan. To remove it, first open the Applications folder by selecting

from the Finder menu bar, or by pressing the key combination shift-command-A. Look for an item named "VidX" or similar. If present, drag it to the Trash and empty.

You do under some circumstances, however you are not addressing Apple here. We are users like you. As far as icons are concerned, native iOS icons cannot be deleted, but many people just create a junk folder to put them in and put that folder on their last home page. I understand this isn't the solution you are searching for, but it does help some people. Some playlists can be removed, however some cannot.

I have written my own windows installer in C++ using Visual Studio 2010. It works fine. I recently added code to it so that the application installed by the installer is included in the Control Panel's "Uninstall Programs" list
and have wired everything up in my installer to perform the uninstall operation when passed the /U command line switch. So far everything works fine.
I put a confirmation popup into the uninstallation code in the installer which comes up in the beginning when uninstall is selected within the "Uninstall Programs" control panel applet. It's simply a Yes/No Message Box asking for a confirmation
of the uninstallation. If I click 'Yes' to confirm the uninstallation request, everything works perfectly.
The problem occurs when I click 'No.'   If I click 'No', I get a popup stating that "This program might not have uninstalled correctly."
Does anyone know how I can prevent this 'Program Compatibility' dialog box from being issued by Windows (8.1) ?

Ok, this does turn out to be a windows version compatibility issue. Once corrected, the problem disappears.
When an application is compiled by Visual Studio 2010 without an explicit compatibility manifest specified, it defaults to a compatibility level of Windows Vista.
The compatibility level can be seen for all running programs in resmon.exe, CPU tab. Once there, right click any one of the column headers and choose "Select columns..." Add the "Operating System Context" column.
Before adding the explicit manifest file, my installer program, compiled using Visual Studio 2010, showed an "Operating System Context" of "Windows Vista."
To add an explicit manifest file to the project, I first created a file that I called "Compatibility.manifest" (you may call it anything you wish) and put the following xml into the file (without the START and END indicators, shown below). I
put the file into my 'Res' project subfolder:

Note that the file pathname is relative to the project root (where the .vcxproj file resides).
After compiling, I tested the installer (both install and uninstall options through the Control Panel uninstall programs applet) for Windows 7, 8.1 and X (10). Windows X doesn't seem to mind that the highest compatibility level is for Windows 8.1.
When I discover what the compatibility GUID is for Windows X, I'll add that to Compatibility.manifest.
I provide this detail hoping that it may help someone else.
