All of the sudden I started getting annoying popups in Safari. When I close them, they reopen a short time later. I have popups blocked in my preferences. Please help. It's driving me crazy.

Popup blocker is on but I still get annoying popups. When I use Google Chrome I do not get any popups. Heheh, it's Mozilla being cheerfully quirky on the Firefox page (you are talking about the Mozilla Firefox Start Page or "about:home", right?).
If so, Mozilla will be changing it with another image in the future; I don't know when, though. For now, you have a few options:
* Set Google/Bing/etc. as your homepage so that you won't see the Start Page when Firefox launches.
* Use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/?src=userprofile Stylish] extension to remove the image.

I need help to get rid of mackeeperapp popup. Since approx. 2 weeks it opens whenever I use google search machine after I chosen a topic there. Then the website of mackeeper opens up in a new window trying to persuade you to download their programme. I've downloaded adblock, but didn't get rid of mackeeper; used duckduckgo instead of safari, it didn't help either. Any suggestions how to get rid of that popup?

Whenever I boot into OS9.2.2 on my other drive in my dual 500Mhz. G4 I get a usb upgrade messege window:
"Software needed for the USB device "Unnamed device" is not available. Would you like to look for the software on the internet?"
This appears everytime I boot, restart, startup on this drive. I've looked for this "unnamed device" in various places like the extensions folder to delete it but I can't find it anywhere. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.

After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

You can go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, cookies and data and then delete every bookmark and that should clear it temporarily, but it will only be temporary. As soon as you starting using the search again, then suggestions will appear again.
I think that I may have misread your question - if you want to clear all of the history - use the Clear History button in the upper right corner of the History window. You cannot delete one item at a time.

There is a commonality about this particular irritant which allows it to pick up the name from any site visited and insert it into it's psuedo 'Survey'. I don't have the answer any more than you do, but i'm not pretending that I have any solution - I don't.. Neither do you.

That seems to work for when I run the page through the iSupplier portal. However I noticed during development when I am testing the page on my computer, I am still getting this message? Is there anyway to get rid of it on the client side? I assume that profile is set correctly on the development instance which you are using from JDEV.
Sometimes you need apache bounce to make sure the profile option change come into effect.
So do a apache bounce.
