how do i get rid of apps i don't want on my laptop

    Dear Customer,
Welcome and Thank You for posting your query on HP Support Forum
If you're operating Windows 8 with a mouse, it's a snap to uninstall an app: Just mouse over its tile, right-click, and then choose Uninstall from the options toolbar that appears at the bottom of the screen. Of course, if you're using a touchscreen, there's no right-click option
Please refert to the below shown link for further troubleshooting:

  • How do I get rid of books I no longer want?

How do I completely delete some books from Ibook?

Go to the iTunes Store. Under Quick Links, click on Purchased. This place has everything that you ever purchased on iTunes. When you hover over a book in the Books section a "x" appears on the upper left corner of the artwork. Click on that to hide it.
Note: You can't ever delete a purchased item because you purchased it (even for free ones). You can hide it from view and pretend that it's not there.

  • How can I get rid of app upgrades, when I no longer have the app?

How can I get rid of app upgrades , when I no longer have those particular apps?

If the app is no longer installed on the iPad then you should get prompts about updates to it in the App Store app - as efectively there is nothing for it to update. If you are being prompted to download updates to them then are you sure that they are no longer on the iPad ?
If you are being prompted on your computer's iTunes then if you delete them for the App part of you computer's Library then you shouldn't be prompted about them.

  • When i start a new email, it shows all of my old contacts. how do i get rid of the ones i dont want? they are not in my contacts info.

when i start a new email, it shows some of my old email addresses. how do i get rid of the ones i dont want? they are not in my contacts info.

Unfortunately the Mail app on the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch does have the option to clear previous recipients. If you don't want to live with it, the only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is by restoring the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch as a new iPad/iPhone/iPod.  If you restore from backup, the cache is also restored.
This article shows you the screens you will see during the restore:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

  • Pre-owned macbook pro, how do I get rid of app updates for previous users?

I have 2 updates in the app store that are flagged for updating, every time I click update it brings up a user that isn't me and I don't have the password for. How do I get rid of these? and ensure any update (e.g. iphotos is one of them) are for my apple id? Any help welcomed

What you really need to do is wipe the drive completely by repartitioning it as one partition and then reinstall the original version of OS X that came on that Mac when it was shipped from the factory. Otherwise that system will always be tied to the original owner.
How you do that depends on what version of OS X originally came on it when it was new. If Lion or Mountain Lion you use the online Internet recovery system. If it originally came with Snow Leopard then you should of gotten the original system discs that came with every Mac prior to Lion coming out. If you don't have those system discs you can order a replacement set from apple for a small fee.

  • I want to delete books from my iPad but they are still there ....how do I get rid of purchased books?, I want to delete books from my iPad but they are still there ....how do I get rid of purchased books?

I want to delete books from my iPad but they are still there ....how do I get rid of purchased books?,

You should be able to delete them from the bookshelf in the iBooks app via the Edit button at the top right of the bookshelf. If they show on the bookshelf with a cloud symbol on them then try turning Settings > iBooks > Show All Purchases 'off'. Is that what is happening ?

  • How do I get rid of App Store notification for a software update that does not conform to the OS that I am using?

I am using Snow Leopard and have no wish to upgrade to Lion.  App Store notification indicates that there is an iPhoto 11 update available.  When I try to update, the error message indicates that I need Lion to download the update.  The notification red circle with the one in it sits attached to the App Store icon and will not go away.
I know that Apple knows that I'm on Snow Leopard, so why bother sending me and update notification that is irrelevant to me.
Any solutions to getting rid of the red circle on the App Store icon?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sateach

  • How can I get rid of apps stuck in my dock?

I've tried resting my dock through terminal but that doesn't seem to work. Any help, please. Also I have two copies of that same app. I can only run one. The other when I try to run it says it has been moved to the trash and cannot be run.

So, when you drag an app icon off the Dock, it does not go "poof" and disappear?
If so, first, you may want to try the good ol' Repair Disk Permissions, in Disk Utility First Aid tab, on your startup disk.  Don't worry if a lot of messages are displayed.  Things that need to be fixed are being fixed, and the rest of the info is mostly "informational."
If that does not help, my only other idea is to get rid of the current Dock user preference file.  This will "reset" the Dock an put it back to its initial default state.  So any app icons you added/removed, and changes you made to the Dock's appearance, will be gone.  It will look like it did when you first used your user account.  If you want to do this...
I just tried this in my "Test User" user account, to confirm.  First, you need to go into your user account Library folder.  This folder is hidden starting with Lion, so from Finder's Menu Bar, select
    Go -> Go to Folder...
    In the field, enter
    /Users/[your short user name]/Library
where [your short user name] is the name of your user home folder.  And click Go.  This will open a Finder window showing the contents of the hidden Library folder.  Open the sub-folder named Preferences.  Find the file named
    com.apple.dock.plist
and drag it to the Desktop.  Log out and log back in.  The system should create a fresh Dock user preference file with the Dock in the initial default state.  Hopefully, it won't have the same problems and you can update the Dock as desired.

  • How do I get rid of "App Market"?

I reset Firefox in hopes of getting rid of this unwanted trash.
    I still have it.
While this is my prime concern at this time I would like to comment that backing up my "favorite websites" should be easier!

    Extensions;
    appmarket 10.30.1.502 ({9d84f755-b891-4a4d-95c8-f6d01108a008})
First, go to your add-ons page, and disable this.
Press the '''<Alt Key>''' to bring up the tool bar. Then '''Tools > Add-ons.'''
    After it is disabled, restart.
Run several or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one
program misses something, another may pick it up.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

    * [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
[http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

  • Is it possible to increase my capacity from 1 gigibyte to two on the iPad one?  Also, how do I get rid of apps and audio books I no longer want on the iPad?

I have never done this before.

Considering the smallest iPad is 16 GB (about 14.9 GB usable by you) I'm not sure what you mean by your title.
To remove apps and audiobooks you no longer want on your iPad uncheck the ones you don't want in iTunes then sync your iPad.

  • How do I get rid of album covers when I want lists?

I just downgraded to iTunes 11.  I can only get actual lists in Playlists, but not in "Music". Clicking on a category just fills the window with basically  information-free album covers(Not all of the contents even HAVE covers) rather than information. How do I get lists back?

    Well that's a new one.
No, that isn't something that is configurable. And in my experience, the only cover art the Music app picks up on its own, rather than the sync source, is for the Artist view. I could be wrong (like most of users on the planet, I do use and maintain cover art). But it is not likely to sync over to your laptop, either.
