This might seem like overkill, but I suggest a brief detour here:

After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
(2) Open Firefox's '''Add-ons page''' using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
(3) With the above removed, you can restore your own preferences. As applicable:

How do I get rid of a toolbar with bing, weather, similar sites, etc? I don't want it.

There suddenly appeared a toolbar on my browser that was not there before. It has - I think they are "apps". There are such things as a radio station button, the weather, facebook, bing, and so on. I started using firefox because it gave me exactly what I wanted so there are now two choices:
Get back to my previous setup
Leave firefox.

Some thing you installed after Firefox added that Ask Jeeves garbage.
Your installed plugins shows this known piece of Malware - un-install it thru the Control Panel.

How do I get rid of yahoo toolbar and get back my orange firefox button in the upper left corner of screen so I can use my stuff again?

Yahoo toolbar suddenly imposed itself as my log on screen whenever I booted up my computer and clicked on Firefox. Now I can't get to my bookmarks even though it told me that if I activated the new bookmark system it would transfer my old ones. It didn't happen. The toolbar has no bar for typing in a www.http address. I cannot use it and don't want it. I am using Explorer just so I can access my bookmark address, but don't like Explorer. I want my old Firefox screen back that has the little orange button in the upper left corner of the screen. How can I get there? My computer use has been highly curtailed by this unrequested invasion!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11. 
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
