How do I get rid of BetterSurf? Your suggestions didn't work.

It doesn't appear as a plug-in or extension, although it did before I used the command line to delete the BetterSurf directories (Windows Explorer wouldn't remove them.) Neither AdAware nor MalwareBytes even found the problem, let alone removed it. It doesn't appear in Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs list.
There's a "three minute removal tool" that comes up in Google, but I suspect that would be just causing even more problems.
What do I do now?

Try disabling FF plugins and scan with Hitman Pro.
It is likely one of them and as they are in your Firefox profile rather than separate folder, deleting the folder won't help.
If this fails, you will likely need to scan with anti-malware programs (and if Adwcleaner and MBAM does not work, try Spybot (free), Hitman Pro (free trial) or Spyhunter ( commercial).

Have you tried removing and reinstalling your printer using System Preferences?
If not, open System Preferences (under the Apple logo in the menu on the upper left), and click "Print & Scan".
Then highlight your printer and use the minus sign in the lower left to remove it.
Then use the adjacent plus sign to add it again.

if you are seeing a cloud symbol next to the rogue tracks, settings/itunes & app store then turn off show all music & video
then go to settings/music and check that 'show all music' is turned off - this solved my problems

I imagine many people use multiple browsers, the usual interference is in deciding which one is to be the default browser. You may use firefox without setting it as the default browser.

How do I get rid of the "Your Free Trial Period has ended" Screen when trying to open a pdf in Adobe Reader?
I had a trial of Dreamweaver but it was too complicated for me.
There was no where to cancell the free trail so I let it run its course and expire. It then deleted the programs which is fine (I didn't want to buy them) but it also deleted my Acrobat Reader.
I have re-installed that but when I try to open a pdf, all I get is the "Your Free Trial Period has ended" screen which only allows you to buy or exit and them exits all together.
Needless to say I am very UNIPRESEED with Adobe for messing up my programs and now they want to charge me $29 dollars to sort out a problem they created.
Can anyone help me to sort out this very anoying problem?

No I have not deleted anything, this all happened automatically when the trial period ended.
Other than an old version of Photoshop (version 7, for which I do have a serial number, I don't have any other Adobe software - just the reader which is now not working)
I was trialling Dreamwever but couldn't get started with it so am paying someone else to set up the website using Wordpress.

I have some JPEG's of textures. Around the edge of the texture their is white, how do I get rid of the white so I can work with just the texture?
I tried the Luma Key filter. It worked pretty good but wanted to know what you guys do. If their is a way to get rid of the background white color without disrupting the texture image?

I get random fuzzy green screen appearing on macbook pro whenever I watch videos online. How do I get rid of it? I didn't have this problem before and I didn't do anything new to computer nor did I drop it.

On the TV or iMac display and is Mirroring On or Off?
First check all of your cables, connectors and connections.
If it's a really strong green hue, then there is probably something wrong with the cabling or a connection.
If it is only slightly off hue, then go to: System Preferences > Displays > select the Color tab for whichever and try selecting a different Display Profile or setting a new Profile by selecting the Calibrate.... button.

Try the suggested idea above. I just disabled all the add-ons which were not compatible with FF 5 and did a FF restart. That fixed the problem. I then enabled each one, one at a time, with a FF restart until the problem came back. I then disabled that add-on.
