HOW DO I GET RID OF FREE (JUNK) APPS? WAS PLAYING AROUND WITH THEM IN ITUNES. DOWNLOADED A FEW TO SEE HOW THEY WORK. NOW I CAN'T GET RID OF THEM ON MY PHONE. SCREEN TOUCH, JUGGLES, HOLD APP, NO X TO REMOVE ANY OF THEM. THE PHONE IS AN 3GS, AND RUNNING 6.0.1.

Restart iPhone by holding power button and keep holding until slide to power off slide slide it wait a minute then turn it back on.
Then delete the apps
If not working contact apple

I'm really pissed!! How do I get rid of free trial expired "buy it now online"

Now I'm really getting pissed of!!!
A while ago I took advantage of the 30 day free trial of Elements 12. The trial period expired and I uninstalled everyrthing I could find relating to Photoshop. Today, March 26th, I purchased Elements 12 at my local Staples outlet. I have installed the product on my computer using the directions included, but when I try to open it I get a default message tha "my gree trial period has expired and I am required to purchase the product online"
Lets get this straight, I have purchased and paid for the produvt, installed it according to the instructions included, but now I am blocked by some Adobe default program from using it.
Haw do I get rid of this blocking program???

If you have not tried this already, try this.
System Preference > Notifications
Select Calendar and uncheck the box beside "Badge app icon".

First put you're finger and hold down on the app you would like to delete. It and all of the other apps would start to shake like their scared on which app you're going to delete . Tap the "X" on the app you want to get rid of and hit confirm.

How do I get rid of unwanted downloaded apps/programs that "came with" my download?

I just downloaded PhotoShop Elements 12 - which I needed for work - onto my brand new Mac, and now there are these annoying UNWANTED apps sitting there that I can't get rid of: checkclientstatus, AALauncherUtil and macui. Hope can I dump these things? Really puts a bad taste in my mouth about wanting to download anything else from Adobe in the future.

kglad - Thanks so much for responding so quickly and trying to help. It took awhile, but I finally found out where they were located and how to dislodge them. It's just incredibly annoying when someone - or something - else lodges itself in your "home" and attaches with electronic superglue...especially when you're just moderately tech-savvy. It's nice to know someone out there - who is - was willing to help.
(clearly, they weren't apps, but they popped up on my Launchpad like them...as I said, I'm moderately tech-savvy...if that...)

Try a soft-reset and see if the duplicates still show after the iPad has restarted (a couple of times I've had it happen to me when moving an app whilst it is downloading, and the soft-reset has fixed it) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I have 3 apps that 'apparently' need updating but have no "update" button next to them. Two apps I don't have and one app I do have. One is a magazine that I do not have. hiya, i recently created a new Apple ID due to my old one not allowing me to download any apps as it was requesting a payment and didnt show the 'none' button. anyhow i was successful and i am able to download apps, but two of my apps with the previous ID are still in the update collumn, because of this i cant delete them or download them using the new ID. can anyone help me please im so stuck! please note that they were already in download at the time i think and i have tried downloaded on itunes but it wont transfer to phone as it claims i already have the apps. thanks!

Did you try ending the App Store application process on your iPhone? Did you try restarting the iPhone? Finally, you can try connect the iPhone to iTunes, next use the Transfer Purchases feature to move all apps to your iTunes library on your PC.
Once you see the apps in iTunes, select the old ones and delete them from within iTunes. Next, sync the iPhone.

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:

Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

How do I get rid of the "Your Free Trial Period has ended" Screen when trying to open a pdf in Adobe Reader?
I had a trial of Dreamweaver but it was too complicated for me.
There was no where to cancell the free trail so I let it run its course and expire. It then deleted the programs which is fine (I didn't want to buy them) but it also deleted my Acrobat Reader.
I have re-installed that but when I try to open a pdf, all I get is the "Your Free Trial Period has ended" screen which only allows you to buy or exit and them exits all together.
Needless to say I am very UNIPRESEED with Adobe for messing up my programs and now they want to charge me $29 dollars to sort out a problem they created.
Can anyone help me to sort out this very anoying problem?

No I have not deleted anything, this all happened automatically when the trial period ended.
Other than an old version of Photoshop (version 7, for which I do have a serial number, I don't have any other Adobe software - just the reader which is now not working)
I was trialling Dreamwever but couldn't get started with it so am paying someone else to set up the website using Wordpress.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.

Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)

Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.
