How do I get rid of icons around Finder's window?

How do I get rid of icons (mere document shortcuts) around Finder's window (in the frame, the grey area). They were not there in the first place, just got there somehow. For example on the left side I have: documents, desktop, applications, movies (there are all good).... and a silly pdf document that shouldn't be there. I can't move it or bin it, it just stays there...
There are also more such icons (shortcuts to documents) across the top of that window: amongst the "View", "Action", "Dropbox" icons (which are all good), there are also shortcuts to pdf documents or folders of documents which were never meant to end up there... How can I clean this up?

If you used iTunes to get the photos on the phone, then use the same iTunes and uncheck the music you don't want and do another sync.

I recently took my MacBook to the local store to have it cleared and restored back to factory settings. I have the OS X Mountain Lion program installed. I set up two accounts (Admin account and second one to use). When I turned my computer off and back on again, I've noticed a Guest account. When I went into my System Preferences to get rid of it, I've noticed that it's greyed out (so I can't delete it). Another issue I'm having is a symbol I'm seeing up top in my menu bar (<--->. In the area where it allows you to add or delete the delete symbol is greyed (shaded) out where I don't have that option to delete the "guest" account. How do I get rid of an authentication pop up window permantly

I have a pop up an authentication pop up window for something called http://www.baracksbirdaycards.com that will not go away. It keeps popping up & when it does it stops me from what I am doing. How do I get rid of this "Norton" pop up window that pops up frequently?

For some reason, every time I pop in a blank dvd to burn or any NON movie dvd, I get this "computer cant find Norton blah blah blah" window error type thing ... how the heck do I get rid of that or keep it from popping up in the future?

How Do I Get Rid of all these Pop-Up Windows?

Somewhere along the line, something seems to have added itself to Safari, so now every other new window is a sales site. For example, just in the last couple of clicks I've had two different pop-ups for Mac cleaning utilities (MacKeeper is CONSTANTLY appearing) and even a telephone support line. What can I do to get rid of all these pop-ups? Is it a virus? I admit I don't keep as close an eye on that sort of thing as I probably should. They are driving me to the point where I'm about to try Firefox just to see if I can get rid of some of them, but I like Safari so much better so I'd like to solve the problem if I can. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How do I get rid of embedded adobe reader process windows and taskbar icons?

In the lastest versions of Adobe reader I've come across the issue of finding an adobe task bar icon and a small adobe reader process window for each PDF document that I have open witin an Internet explorer tab. This is driving me crazy. At first I thought it was jut an issue with the machine that I'm on, but I have now seen this happen in multiple computers. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep these from clogging my screen and taskbar?

On the Safari page tap the bookmarks icon. Tap favorites, slide the ones you want to delete to the left. When you bookmark a new site when it says location make sure you tap bookmarks and not favorites.

That icon indicates your iPhone is rotation locked.
To remove it, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center. Tap the similar looking icon there to turn it off.

It's the screen rotation lock symbol.
When your screen is locked, photos won't rotate when you turn you iPhone sideways (or visa versa)
It's for better viewing or a wider picture view.
You can change it with the same icon in the slider menu from the bottom of your screen (upper right side).
It toggles on or off.
