I dissociated the ipod from the former owner apple id but it keeps on poping as default when I want to download/update at the appstore

- It sounds like some of the apps on the iPod were purchased using the account that pops up. Is that true?
- Have you went to Settings>Store and signed out of that account and signed into yours?

I can sort by one that are PDFs and ones currently on device, but it still gives option to show those old titles. Does anyone know how to erase your "Icloud" history, please?

Nooooooo! lol... If I want to download again I will, I don't want an electronic trail. Plus when I have Ibooks open, sometimes I will accidently hit the item and it will immediatly try to download it. The problem with that is that its "Time magazines Best Photos of 2012" etc and it locks up my IPAD cuz of sheer size of the book. So I would like it gone from the history. In order to change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

when it show a cloud to the right then it's not on your device
it mean that it's tied to y our iCloud account and can be redownloaded should you wish to
if you buy other music from iTunes and don't want it on the iOS device anymore because you transferred to your computer
and wish to add other music then that too will show with the cloud it mean that should you wish you can get it downloaded again free
it's pretty much the same deal in app store app where you can click on purchases and access all apps tied to your appleID

In chrome I'm getting green double underline hyperlinks to ads. How can I get rid of this without adding more junk to the computer?

I have both safari and chrome, because I'm used to chrome. The only extension I have is Google docs. I started getting green double underline hyperlinks to ads. How can I get rid of this without adding more junk to the computer? People suggest programs to do it, but how do I know they won't make it worse?

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
/Library/Application Support/VSearch
/System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

What password did you change? Your Apple ID password? If you changed that, did you go to:
Settings > iTunes and App Store
Tap on Apple ID
Sign Out
Sign Back In with correct Apple ID and Password

Can you please specify more, what generation and is it wifi or wifi and cellular?
The best thing to do with all ipad's is try ro set it back to factory setting, go into itunes, open the screen that displays your ipad and press, reset r factory settings or something like that.
Remember to make a backup first! Otherwise you will lose all your files.

Cant get rid of old Apple ID

I am trying to get my iCloud set up on a macbook air (2012) as I am about to upgrade my phone to a 6 and want to make sure everything will sync correctly. I have updated to OS X Yosemite and that is all working fine as far as I can see.
I keep getting popup boxes on my screen saying "This Mac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with [my old email address]. Open iCloud preferences to fix this problem " This refers to 2 old apple ID's I had (as I changed emails I thought I had updated them on the system but for some reason my computer is still registering the old ones not the current one). When I click on 'open iCloud preferences' I am not able to deselect the incorrect apple ID and put in the current one. There is only a prompt for a password that I don't know anymore.
It is worth pointing out that this is not a problem from the updating to Yosemite as was happening before I updated.
I have registered an iCloud account for my new Apple ID and this seems to be fine I just can't seem to get rid of the old one or these pop ups. I have read that you cannot merge ID's or get rid of old ones permanently.
My main worry is that in deleting the old Apple ID's I may loose music that I bought with those old ID's.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

I read the links you provided and this hasn't helped. I have already updated my Apple ID to my current email address and can log in no problem.

Ok so how do you want to get rid of it?
On your phone?... Go to iTunes then click on the bottom bar "Feature" then scroll to the end of the page you will see you apple ID in a box on the left, click on this and it will give you an option to "sign out". this therefore removes said apple ID from your device.
