How do I get rid of printer notifications that don't work?

I keep getting a notification from Apple about updating my printer driver. ("Would you like to download and install software for “Samsung SCX-4623 Series”?"). When I click OK it searches for the driver but says it can't find it, and that I should try again later.
As soon as I close out the dialogue it pops up again, "Would you like to download and install software for “Samsung SCX-4623 Series”?" I have to go through the same process again.
I even went to Samsung's site and downloaded the driver again. Soon after the Apple dialogue appeared.
How do I get rid of this dialogue? It's driving me nuts!

Have you tried removing and reinstalling your printer using System Preferences?
If not, open System Preferences (under the Apple logo in the menu on the upper left), and click "Print & Scan".
Then highlight your printer and use the minus sign in the lower left to remove it.
Then use the adjacent plus sign to add it again.

You cannot stop it from popping up.
it will continue every few minutes until its installed.

Make a temporary backup of your library (if you don't already have a backup of it) and launch iPhoto with the Command +Option key held down and rebuild the library with options #1, 2, 3 and 6 selected.

How can I get rid of old books that I have deleted from my device? It still shows up as purchased books on "Icloud".

I can sort by one that are PDFs and ones currently on device, but it still gives option to show those old titles. Does anyone know how to erase your "Icloud" history, please?

Nooooooo! lol... If I want to download again I will, I don't want an electronic trail. Plus when I have Ibooks open, sometimes I will accidently hit the item and it will immediatly try to download it. The problem with that is that its "Time magazines Best Photos of 2012" etc and it locks up my IPAD cuz of sheer size of the book. So I would like it gone from the history. There is no HP support for this old printer. I have tried to connect via ethernet (thru ethernet router), and it does not show up in printer preferences. The printer worked fine on system 9x but when I went to my new macs with system X no luck. This is a great B&W printer that prints at 18 x 24". I would like to keep it and not junk it, but its been sitting on my desk unused for some time now. Any thoughts or JUNK IT! Thanks, R.T.

Does anyone at Apple have help for this sort of question - I too have an old printer (HP LaserJet 5MP) that I would like to keep using on my Mac. (Mac OSX 10.6.8).
I got it working by getting a USB cord that connects to it - but every once in a while it just stops working for weeks. The mac 'sees' it and it sends the data because the printer lights start blinking but then it just doesn't do anything. Is there no one who can tell me (and raterada) how to get some new life into these old printers. I would rather not add this (and a new toner cart) to the landfill just yet. . .

If Firefox has already downloaded the 30.0 update, how do I get rid of it so that it won't upgrade Firefox when I restart my browser?

Please don't try to encourage me to use the new update. That is not what I am asking. The layout of Firefox 30 is not user friendly at all, and if I cannot continue to use 28, I will change to a different browser.
What I need to know is how can I get rid of the update that just downloaded itself without warning and permission? I have ALREADY selected in the options menu for Firefox to not check for updates. Thanks to another user's post I was able to learn how to disable this completely in the about:config menu (why can't it be done in the settings? Why doesn't Firefox listen to its users? That's a whole other problem!)
I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to delete the update, that appeared against my will, so that I will not be FORCED into using version 30 next time I run my browser.

if that doesn't help, in Safari, throw away your history from the days since you had the issue. that may get rid of it. If it doesn't you may need to throw away your cookies (which isnt' any fun because it'll sign you out of any site you regularly sign into)

If you also want delete the app from your iPad (you will also need to stop the subscription, just deleting an app won't do that) : press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

OK, let's start over....
Hook your iPhone up to the computer and select the device when it appears in iTunes. Go to the Photo tab, and deselect the album then re-sync.
You also can delete each picture in the Album one by one by going into the Photos icon on your iPhone, Select the Albums option, select the Album, and then when the pictures display, select Edit. Then you have to tap on each picture to delete it. Time consuming....easier to sync it with the computer, but a way to get rid of them temporarily. You still have to change your i-device photo profile in iTunes or it will download again in the next sync.

After having payed fo an account for one year for Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 i keep getting the message ,that I am using a trial version of Photoshop CC.
Lightroom on the other hand is not functioning in a trial version !
Could anyone tell me how I can start working with Photoshop CC while not in trial mode ?
