A few months ago I synched my new iPhone with my computer at work. It seems that, unknown to me at the time, someone had used the itunes on my computer to update their iPad. Suddenly, I had one million apps on my phone that I had never downloaded. It took me a bit to fgure out what happened and I thought I had fixed it. I know have a new computer (MacBook Pro) at my new job. I set up itunes on this computer with my account and all of the apps that are associated with the other person's account are still associated with my account somehow. How the **** do I get rid of these??? I want to synch my iPhone, but I'm terrfied that I'll have these 6GB of apps on my phone if I do. Please help!!! Thank you.

Have you tried deleting them in iTunes on the computer and then turning off sync of apps in iTunes? That should clean the phone, then do a resync with just the apps you want selected in iTunes.

How to get rid of someone else's MAC ID on my computer and iphone

Hello Everyone,
I have not yet been able to register my apple computer (notebook), which i bought now a few years back. Trouble is that a person who was house/cat sitting for me, must have used my computer without my permision and now his email shows up everytime i try to do anything using my apple iD. I can't get rid of his ID in my computer's memory, whenever i need to insert my apple ID. How do I get rid of his email address and see mine? I logged out and back into my account, but that didn't help. I reset my password, but still his ID keeps coming up, and, as i don't know his password (obviously) I can't get rid of it.
Now this has contaminated my G4 and I can't get into itunes and therefore can only use my G4 as a telephone. Can't do anything more with it than i could do on my (cheapest available) phone.
I am absolutely blocked, can't register either my G4 or my apple notebook and can't buy any apps or use itunes on my G4.
Any help in gtting rid of this person's ID would be well received.
The other problem is that this person is a confidence trickster (obviously i didn't know it at the time) and i am worried he can hack into my computer, use my network etc.

I have a Macbook Pro and I run Mavericks OS X 10.9.5. There's an application in Launchpad called "Reset Search".See picture 1. I know this is part of the "Install Mac" adware, but I still can't find a way to get rid of it. I downloaded Adware Medic to try and remove the adware but it said that it couldn't find anything. I also tried a manual removal following the steps from http://www.thesafemac.com/arg-genieo/, where it says to remove the file "/private/etc/launchd.conf" but I can't find that file anywhere. I'm scared to continue because it says, "Failure to properly remove this file, if it is present, will result in your computer freezing and becoming unable to start up!" Also way before I knew this was adware I reset the browser settings a few times using the pop up. See Picture 2.

How do i get rid of extra trash folders from various email accounts?

i've now updated to lion, and subsequently, apple mail v.5, and love the fact that (like iOS) i have easliy added my other email accounts (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc).
however, when i delete items from these accounts, they sometimes get deposited into separate trash folders located "on my mac" INSTEAD of my unified trash mailbox (even though separate email folders have been created there as well).
i don't want to keep these trashed emails on my various/individual servers...or on my mac. i just want them deleted with everything else when i empty my unified trash bin in mail.
for each of my email accounts, i have checked the "move deleted messages to the trash mailbox" and unchecked the "store deleted messages on the server" options in mail preferences. is there something else i might have neglected to check/uncheck?

Have you checked to make sure that there aren't any invisible floating elements outside of your artwork? Empty textboxes, points, etc.
If you're exporting via the Save for Web menu, you may want to try unchecking the "Clip to Artboard" option. This will save only your artwork, and clip away the extra space you might have in the artboard.
You could just always crop away the excess space in Photoshop if you need a quick fix.

Seems it's a tool bar that you get free from SEOBOOK.COM. There's three parts to it: RankChecker, SEOQuake, and SEOBook. I'm going to contact SEOBook to see if I can solve the problem. You cannot remove this app. It is a core app like the Clock, Health, Weather, etc.
You can move it to the last Home screen or put it in a folder so you don't have to deal with it.

How do I get rid of a box that pops up saying Account expired?

There is a pop up box that comes up on my desktop that has a red stop sign shape with a white exclamation point. It says in bold at top "Account expired" and below that "Renew subscription now to resume service". The only option is to click a button at the bottom that says "Renew Subscription", there is no button to close or minimize it. When I do click it, it goes away, but comes back again. Nothing apparently opens or happens after clicking it. If I ignore it, it multiplies and I get a whole cluster of them on my screen. I've tried restarting the computer, emptying the trash, etc. It pops up as soon as I restart it or wake it up from being asleep. My computer is a desktop running version 10.9.5 OS X.
I've tried searching the internet for a similar problem and didn't find much. Any help or insight at this point would be so helpful.

I think I've isolated it to the Cisco webex plugin. Have you done an online conference recently? In the finder go to ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ and thenfind the webex plugin. Remove it and restart safari. In chrome go to chrome://plugins and disable the plugin.

I have a MacBook Pro 2012 (non-retina display).
In order to give it a speed boost, I added replaced the main hard drive with an SSD.
The SSD only has a paltry 256GB due to price constraints.
Now, I find myself with a whopping 90GB 'Others' file on my Mac.
I've done a little probing, and found that I have an 40GB iOS apps library stowed away in my ITunes Library.
I deleted the iOS app library and found that my 'Others' dropped back to 50GB.
I then found out that when I sync my 64GB iPhone, all it's apps get transferred over to my Mac.
Is there a way to prevent that data from being transferred over?

Ever since the last update, I'm having problem accessing my e-mail account. I keep getting an annoying bar at the top of the screen "Firebox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." I have to keep hitting the allow button, sometimes twice. And when I do get into the accounts the bar jumps in and out every time I open a new e-mail, or delete and old one.
