How do I get rid of the album cover display?

I don't know how it happened, but my iPod only displays album covers when it plays music (instead of showing song title, artist, volume etc.). Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this setting so it displays the normal information when playing music? Thanks!!

Okay, I don't like the looks of iTunes 10 in general, but I can get used to it. The font was so small, I found where to kick it up to "large" but I can't figure out how to get rid of that first horrible column "Album by Artist" and the column next to it with a number in it that I have absolutely no idea what it's for. Other consists of album artwork, the iPod's software, and files that cannot be categorized elsewhere such as corrupted files leftover from failed sync operations with iTunes. Obviously the artwork doesn't apply in this situation since you own an iPod Shuffle, so at this point, we can probably assume that this Other content is corrupted files.
In order to reduce the size of other, you'll need to restore the iPod Shuffle to factory settings in iTunes.

On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.
If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually.

Connect your I-phone to i-tunes , click on music . Not the one in the library but the music that opened up when you connected to i-tunes . Highlight the complete album or songs you want deleted, then right click and delete. Once you deleted the songs off you i-phone, then click the music from the library of your i-tunes. If that same music or album is also in there then repeat what you did in the i-phone to delete . This should take it all out.

How can I get rid of the display of the last played music-title
When playing a music-title the name of the title and it's progress is displayed in the box at the top of iTunes, even if the music is already stopped or ended. This display is impeding f.i. when copying music-albums to iPhones and watching the progress. Can anyone tell me please how to make the display of the last played music-title disappear?

OK, let's start over....
Hook your iPhone up to the computer and select the device when it appears in iTunes. Go to the Photo tab, and deselect the album then re-sync.
You also can delete each picture in the Album one by one by going into the Photos icon on your iPhone, Select the Albums option, select the Album, and then when the pictures display, select Edit. Then you have to tap on each picture to delete it. Time consuming....easier to sync it with the computer, but a way to get rid of them temporarily. You still have to change your i-device photo profile in iTunes or it will download again in the next sync.

Make a temporary, backup copy if you don't have a backup copy of the library (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4
Launch iPhoto and try again.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

i previously had 21.97 Gb music, over 6 Gb photos, about 1Gb of apps, and minute amount of audio
now i have no music, 5.4 Gb photos and similar (0.8Gb) for apps and audio. i have deleted heaps of photos and unused apps to try to make space but obviosly this is a much bigger problem. I also created a smaller music folder on itunes to sync to but at present no music is selected for syncing due to the lack of available space.
i have 15Gb icloud account now also which is about half full.
Ive done a little research and heard similar tales but with much smaller other totals than this. Can you help?

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.
