How Do I Get Rid Of The Application Toolbar In CS4?

I can seemingly turn everything else off. I don't want the Application Frame. I don't want the Application Toolbar. I just don't want it. My screen real estate is valuable to me and it's in the way. I can't even dock it on a side or as a tab somewhere. I need the vertical screen real estate. Where do I turn this off? And if it isn't possible--why NOT? This is a serious gripe and I'm going to see if I can scrounge up an old copy of PS. This is a waste of $700.

I humbly submit that I was wrong. And sorry for the rant; this has been bugging me for a while. The menu item was indeed there--after I restarted PS while holding down command-option-shift. Best guess is something corrupted while/shortly after installing.

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
    /Library/Application Support/Conduit
    /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
    /Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
    /Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
    /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
    /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
    Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    Library/Application support/conduit plugins
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

  • How do i get rid of the Yahoo toolbar?

Aster using Firefox for the last two years, I had to uninstall and reinstall it after downloading the latest version. Surprise, there is the ever-present Yahoo toolbar following me everyplace I go like a faithful dog.
How do I get rid of it and use Google when I do a search? When getting to a new website from my homepage, I want a new tab to come up for me to type the new address. If I cannot do this, the whole tab concept has gone out of the window. I should not have to go to a Yahoo search tool that in many cases what I see in the search results has nothing to do with the website I want to go to.
    Help!

The help page for REFRESH FireFox needs more info.
    1. By refreshing Firefox the new or default profile does not guarentee that the add-ons are all up to date or not vulnerable.
    2. It would be really nice if FireFox would give users advice on browsing safely.
    3. Do not click on pop-ups anywhere on the screen and to use Windows Task Manager instead.
    4. Only update from the program that you are updating not from pop-ups!!!
    My story:
I do not like to have updates automatically installed. Reason, it depends on what I am doing on the internet and how
much time I have if I will install an update and there are other reasons... Because I unplug the Ethernet cable from my
laptop whenever I am not on the internet. And I do update programs. I have been learning to more about using FireFox safely.
    Reason why I used REFRESH
I unthinkingly clicked on a pop-up at the right bottom of the screen over the tool bar.
It is now common that microsoft places update info in pop-ups at that same location. So I got used to it and I clicked on
a Fire Fox update. Well it was from Yahoo publisher with file named sxh.yimg.com. A very persistant Yahoo! toolbar
appeared in the main menu. And the address bar was redirected to - www.datatoolbar.com - an online data miner with yahoo
in the address. I have gone through a lot of uninstalls, deleting Mozilla File Folders in User/Roaming and Local to get
rid of this but it persisted. REFRESH did work, but one or two add-ons were vulnerable and I went through a 3 hour crash
    yesterday.

  • How I can get rid of the Upromise toolbar for Mac Users?

I'm not able to remove a toolbar from my Firefox browser and I don't want it anymore. I am a Mac user and I don't know how to do this and don't know where my options are to make this move or remove the toolbar?
Thank you all for your support and suggestions and Happy New Years guys!

Some extensions install locally to your Firefox settings folder and these are easiest to remove: there should be a Remove button on the Add-ons page. But in other cases, the extensions may be in a shared folder. You can Disable them on the Add-ons page, but you may have to go hunting to find the actual file. Here's how I'd get started:
Open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Command+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then see whether you can remove that one, and disable any other suspicious, non-essential, or unrecognized extensions that could be part of the same infestation.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    Does that remove the toolbar?

  • How do I get rid of the new toolbar that was added by versions 20 and 21?

I have tried both versions 20 and 21 and both have the bugs below so I ended up having to re-install version 19:
1.) Versions 20 and 21 add a new toolbar that has nothing but a "Firefox" button on it - and no way to get rid of this toolbar is provided. It wastes far too much space on my laptop's screen - that button should have been put on one of the other toolbars or simply made part of the icon set that users can use to customize their menubar or other toolbars.
2.) That new toolbar is not customizable. Hence, I don't have the option of recovering screen space by moving everything from my menubar onto the new toolbar then hiding the menubar.
3.) The back, forward, and stop|reload buttons on my menubar no longer work. Moving them back to the navigation toolbar and showing that toolbar does not solve the problem. Nor can I right-click on a web page and select those functions from the context menu: they are permanently disabled there too.
4.) I can no longer right click on the menubar or a toolbar and get a context menu from which you I can pick a "customize" option - I can't get a context menu AT ALL. In order to customize things for versions 20 or 21, I first have to reinstall version 19, do the customizations, then reinstall version 20 or 21.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • How do I get rid of the Alot toolbar so it doesn't ever load again?

The Alot toolbar loads multiple times in the two Firefox windows I save. And small empty dialogue boxes also open. Too many boxes open. It's all very irritating. I don't want Alot toolbar anymore. I have seen, however, that people who have deleted it have also lost their Google toolbars, which I don't want to have happen to me.

Welcome to the Apple community Todc.
Besides signing out of the account, you will need to delete the apps on the device that were purchased under that ID.

  • How do I get rid of the prompt to unlock the "Local Items" keychain in various applications?

How do I get rid of the prompt to unlock the "Local Items" keychainin various applications?

Generally the easiest fix is to go into Finder. Click go at the very top of your screen. Hold down option, you will see a Library folder pop up. Go into the Library and then into Keychain. Delete everything in this folder. Restart. If that doesn't fix it go to Spotlight (the little magnifying glass in the top right) type Keychain Access. Make sure the little lock in the top left of that window is unlocked. Hope this helps.
