How do I get rid of the grey outline on my PDF when viewing it on an iPad

An ugly grey outline appears on my PDF only when viewing it on an iPad. Any idea how to get rid of it?

Actually I've worked out (by testing a different sized PDF) that it's the background of the interface colour For some reason my PDF isn't quite making it to the edges so it looks like it has a 2 pt grey outline + then the black ipad border. I'd like plain black around the edges (the same as if you were viewing it in full screen mode on a desktop computer). Good Reader shows it fine but I'd prefer to use Acrobat. Is there any way to adjust the grey to black? or why it's not quite making it to the edges? Many thanks in advance for your help!

while not exporting markers is one way to cure this, it's not very effective if you do want to place your chapter markers in fcp and also maybe place some compression markers. i usually place chapter markers in fcp and don't have an issue with the quicktime text track rearing it's head. do a search in the dvd sp forum, this comes up a lot. here's one thread. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1088176&#1088176

I am continually trying to 'center' the document and notice that there is a fixed width 'grey space' to the left of the white page. Is there a way to get rid of this?

The 'grey area' to the left of the working area (which is blue on my machine) shows the thumbnail of the page where you are currently entering or editing text. The only way i know to make it go away is to go View (menu) > Hide Page Thumbnails.
The grey vertical stripe to the right of the working page in the area beyond the edge of the defined page width set in Page Setup. It will show whenever your document window has been set wider than the page width at the current magnification.
You can remove that grey by enlarging the page, or by reducing the window width.
Pages documents align to the left edge of the working space in the window, and can't be moved from there.
Other actions you could take:
Use Full Screen mode (View > enter Full Screen) The removes all other material from the display, leaving an image of the page, centered left to right, and surrounded by a blank, black border. Depending on your window settings, you may also see a word count and an page number/page count displayed at the bottom of the screen.
If you want a plain, whiite (or other colour) margin for your document, try this:
Open a new, blank Pages document.
Use the View menu to hide all elements whose menu item starts with "Hide".
Set the view scale to 400%, using the control at the bottom left.
Drag the window to the left about twice as far as needed to hide the red amber and green gumdrops in the title bar.
Drag the control at the bottom right corner right (and down) to fill the window.
Drag the title bar right to hide the lozenge at the right end of the title bar.
Save the document as a Template, with the name "Blank white background"
To use:
Open ths template, then open the document you want to work on. Hide the Page Thumbnails of the work document, resize the document window to hold the page, with no grey area to the right. Reposition the document to be centered horizontally on the page.

The left hand panel in every folder window used to be closeable in System 10.3.9 but now that i've upgraded to Panther I don't see how to get rid of it. It wastes space and I never want to view it unless I decide to see it.

that panel is called the sidebar. the only way to completely get rid of it in leopard is to collapse both the sidebar AND the toolbar. to do that click on the little oval in the upper right corner of the finder window in question.

How do I get rid of the text boxes in a PDF created in FormsCental when I print the PDF?

I just started working with Acrobat XI Pro and use to use LiveCycle Designer 9 to create forms. The thing I'm wanting to do is to not have the text response boxes appear in the PDF when it is printed out. I am getting very few options in FormsCentral and it might be in there but I haven't been able to find it just yet. Anyone know how to solve what I'm asking or am I asking to much? How can I get rid of The Grey screen and boot my macbook?

Today I was on my MacBook Pro (bought July 2011) and it went to a blank blue screen. I powered it off and tried to restart it. It loaded the apple and spinning circle but it went to a grey screen and froze there. I've read and tried a lot of different things already but nothing has worked. I did the hardware test and it found no problems. I tried to safeboot it. I tried everything on here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570 except the last suggestion (I'd rather not have to lose all my files unless absolutely nesseccary). I also tried the "hold Command + R keys" to try and get to utilities. Anything else out there that I could try? Not sure what the exact operating system is either.

I wouldn't assume that's the hard drive. The fact that the screen turned blue all of a sudden isn't necessarily an indication of a hard drive failure. Check out this post I made yesterday:

My personal opinion would be to try and boot from an external hard drive with the appropriate OS installed. With a 2011 model, I would assume that should be Snow Leopard or later. AHT doesn't catch everything, and I don't know if it even does drive scans for bad blocks. I do know for a fact that it pretty much limits itself to digital interfaces and can't go beyond analog driver stages. For example, if the driver stages of a FireWire port or ethernet port are blown, AHT will report them as being OK.
If you got hit by a transient, which could indicate an internal supply problem or a line problem if you were connected to the internet via a wired connection or you were running off the charger, there's no telling what it might have caused the drive to do (if it's the drive) and it could easily cause the screen to suddenly go to blue, but what other damage was done?
My point is that you need to confirm what the source of the problems are. If there's a logic board problem, your drive and data may be OK. If the drive is bad, some of it may still be recoverable. The problem may very well be drive related, but I wouldn't go out and start throwing money at new parts without first confirming what the cause of the problems is.

I have assigned a picture to my contacts, however, when I call, the background becomes the picture I assigned. How do I make it so that when I call, my set wallpaper comes up with the caller ID pic in the corner, so that it looks like the one on the apple homepage?
Can you do this or did apple change the program so that the caller ID photo automatically becomes the background?

How do I get rid of the Multimedia warning in my PDF's?

Upfront I appologize if this is a repeat question. I've tried searching the forums, but haven't really found an answer.
The Problem: I want to create a PDF containing multimedia clips, ie. video or flash. I do this in InDesign. When I view the resulting PDF file, it displays an annoying warning dialog about approving playback of the multimedia content. I realise there might be some security issues, I am not aware of, but I would really like for my users to NOT see this dialog every time they open one of my files.
I've found a post in here, that states something about a list of filetypes, that are disallowed in PDF's. Does anyone know where I can view this list, or maybe the Allowed list instead?
I hope someone has a answer to this, and I thank you in advance.
