Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

If you mean you don't want to see the stocks at all in notification center go to Settings>Stock Widget and turn Notification Center to Off. I recently installed a few things on my macbook pro (which I'm now realizing was stupid) and now on safari certain words on different website turn up green and double underlined. When you scroll over it, and ad pops up like this:

How do I get rid of it? I already emptied my cache and cookies and checked for any unwanted extensions. I set my safari security setting to block pop-up ads, and I installed ad block. They're still there!
Also, I tried finding the source and I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I'm 95% sure I deleted everything I installed earlier, but that didn't solve anything.

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.

Are you using Apple mail, Yahoo mail, gmail, etc?
Saw this on another post:
Quit the mail app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Then repeat the steps above if you still cannot get your mail.

Since I have upgraded to iOS 5 and now use iCloud for my contacts, how do I get rid of the From my Mac contacts on my iPhone and iPad?
My contacts show groups from both my Mac and from iCloud.

connect the iPhone to the mac, go to iTunes, select the iPhone, in the info tab uncheck the option to sync your contacts. sync now.
Make sure you do a backup(of the iPhone and Mac address book) before you do this. you might need to play a bit with it. If you mess up you will be able to just restore.
i had to try several things before i got the proper iCloud sync working without having to deal with duplicate contacts.

I notice that when I go into my Flipboard app, when I touch on an article to read further it says "redirecting to barracuda web filtering" but the page never opens. If your company has web filtering for guests, it'll apply to anyone using that connection. Just like, i'm going to presume, McDonalds blocks known adult sites (never tried but I can see places blocking sites as that)
The person that provides the service often chooses to control how people use it. The only way to get totally free of their filtering is likely to use the 3G aspect, or buy yourself a 3G hotspot and use that to surf...course you'll be paying for your data usage but at least you can access whatever you want.
