How do I get rid of "Welcome to Firefox!" page on startup?????

This is a pain in the neck.

You can check the home page setting:
*Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
If you do not keep changes after a restart or otherwise have problems with preferences then also see:

  • How do i get rid of CSS on one page only?

I have a website that is being hosted for me. I want to take
a web page and make an ebay auction template out of it. I can't get
rid of the CSS and it's driving me crazy. Everytime I want to
change the text, it reverts back and posts the CSS code in the
    page. I don't want that.
The site uses CSS, and I have not done a website in years and
CSS is still a little french to me & kind of a pain in the ***
since I have not much idea of how it works.
How do I get rid of the CSS for a page within a website that
uses CSS, or am I SOL? Does eBay allow CSS?
    Help!

Last try and then I give up :-)
    > .style1 {font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica,
    sans-serif}
That's css in the head of the document right?
When you say: <p>I type text here &amp; change the
    format</p>
Do you change it via the property inspector and you end up
    with the css
snippet above in the document? How do you change the format,
    what format do
    you use?
From the portion of the code you've sent I can't see anything
    apart from the
style for the font, so that itself won't give you 'red text'.
    I can only
assume then, that there is something happening when you
    upload the page to
    the ebay server or whatever.
Sorry I can't help any further, but I'm stumped without any
    further links or
the code for the whole page.

  • How do I get rid of Astromenda.in Firefox run in Vista Home Premium

I got a message I thought was from Mozilla Firefox saying I have to update Adobe Flash Player. I did and ended up with Astromenda.
I went to control panel/programs and Features, found Astromenda, and uninstalled it. I then adjusted my options for my Firefox homepage and got rid of Astromenda on the open of Firefox. However, if I hit the "+" on the tab for a new tab I get a Astromenda search tab. I went to "searchplugins" in the Firefox profile and found Astromenda.xml and replaced with safesearch.xml. Didn't help, Astromenda is still there when I add a new tab.
I go to the web and found websites on how to get rid of Astromenda but they want me to download various adware cleanup tools but I am reluctant to download anything at this point unless it is sanctioned by Mozilla Firefox.
    Thank you

The one final step I did not do was the easiest, open Firefox menu, select "Add-ons", click on "Extensions", find "Astromenda", and then click on "Remove."
    Problem solved.
PS: I read other blogs that claimed after remove all traces of Astromenda there regular search engine did not act the same... no such problem for me, Google search is acting completely normal.
    Thanks everyone for your interest.

  • How do I get rid of a permanent Firefox Homepage Change Notification?

A Firefox page came up that said well this is embarrassing and then on top of that another small page came up that says Firefox homepage change notification and everytime i click on OK to revert to my previous home page nothing happens and it won't go away and I can't use Firefox because of it so how do I make it go away?

This is on Windows, Mac or Linux?
That notification may be from an add-on, and it probably can't do anything useful until you have dealt with the post-crash session restore page showing your previous session windows and tabs. Can you cancel the notification instead of clicking OK to see whether that works any better?
If not, try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode, which deactivates extensions and probably will bypass that change monitoring feature. Here's where there are some OS differences...
When Firefox is not running, to start Firefox in Safe Mode, hold down the:
    * Windows: Shift key
    * Mac: option key
while launching Firefox using its shortcut. A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Can you get through the session restore screen successfully?

  • How do I get rid of the "Loading Next Page" thing?

Recently my Firefox started pre-loading pages. As I scroll to the bottom of a web page I get a notification pop-up at bottom right, saying "Loading next page" ... but all it seems to do is reload the page I'm already on, creating a situation where I can scroll down into infinity and keep seeing the same page. It slows down my browsing and is really annoying me! I have looked through my add-ons and can't see anything that would be doing this, so I have to assume it's something Firefox has decided to put in ...? Anyone have any ideas at all about the origins, and/or how to stop it happening, please? I am using Windows 7 64-bit on a laptop.

This will be caused by an add-on, and checking your list of add-ons, the likely culprit is [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9825/ FastestFox], the description of the add-on states it can "auto-load the next page".

  • How do I get rid of the orange Firefox thing in my Location Bar? I want the interface to look just like Firefox 16.0.2

I installed Firefox 33 after Tumblr stopped working on 16.0.2, but now everything is jumbled. i tried Classic Themes installer and most things worked great, except for one thing: the orange Firefox thingamabob in the location bar. I can't change it back to the short, unintrusive globe it was in 16.0.2. Here is how it looked then and looks now, for comparison. (Also, the open tabs now have no border and the bars are a different color!)
    http://i.imgur.com/aIiwfvc.png
Also, the Awesome Bar doesn't work anymore! Before I could type, say, the letter 'i' and it would show my a bunch of imgur pages. Now it doesn't do anything when I type anything, and won't work when i hit Enter to search. What is going on?

Hello, I have the same... well... "opinion".
The Firefox logo in the address bar is intrusive and takes away a lot of sorely needed horizontal space in it, for no reason but to display the Firefox icon a third time (in the address bar, on the tab, and on the window in my case where it doesn't bother me).
The screenshot the starter of this topic made illustrates perfectly what I mean - it unnecessarily clutters and overcrowds the horizontal space within the address bar. This is especially a problem for people who cannot use high screen resolutions due to being damned to forever keep using old CRT displays since all flatscreens cause excruciating eye pain (a minority no one cares about, I know - still where's the harm in making it optional?).
Does anyone here know of any Add-on that can remove this said clutter in the address bar? I would really appreciate it and be grateful. Or any (other) way to remove it for that matter... make it an option, whichever...
    Kind regards
