I hate yahoo toolbar make it so I can get rid of it.

In the past, I have seen it in the Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP) or it may be in your add-ons in Tools menu, either as a plugin or an extension.
Do a sweep of your computer with AdwCleaner, which you download and run. AdwCleaner was written by a 16-year-old boy and it does a fantastic job. I've used MalwareBytes Free.
Also run your anti-Virus (Avast! offers a PUPs search for "Potentially Unwanted Programs." Look for that feature in any number of free Anti-Malware scanners too.
Be ever so careful that you uncheck all the bundled software installs that come with updates for Java, for Adobe products, for many free download programs that you get from the likes of Cnet Download dot com. You want to avoid

Yahoo toolbar suddenly imposed itself as my log on screen whenever I booted up my computer and clicked on Firefox. Now I can't get to my bookmarks even though it told me that if I activated the new bookmark system it would transfer my old ones. It didn't happen. The toolbar has no bar for typing in a www.http address. I cannot use it and don't want it. I am using Explorer just so I can access my bookmark address, but don't like Explorer. Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11. 
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.

How Can I get rid of Yahoo home page? Changing home page doesn't work.

A week or two ago, Yahoo started coming up as my home page. No matter how many times I change it back to Bing, every time I bring up Firefox, there is Yahoo as the home page. Changing it back to Bing and clicking ok is not working. I'm getting a little frustrated with this. How do I get rid of Yahoo coming up as my home page when I did not even ask for it?

Type or copy paste the following:

I have tried everything to get rid of Yahoo from my newly installed Mountain lion upgrade. I have a MBP mid 2011 17". . I'm used to using Safari so I would ltke to keep using it. BUT, even though I have Google as my default or perferred search engine, Yahoo keeps coming up. I have already tried hiding tool bar & then individually putting up the print , home.etc. icons. But that doesn't work either. I have searched for an answer to no avail thus far. It's beginning to look like I either use Yahoo w/Safari or switch to FF or Chrome. How do I get rid of a toolbar with bing, weather, similar sites, etc? I don't want it.

There suddenly appeared a toolbar on my browser that was not there before. It has - I think they are "apps". There are such things as a radio station button, the weather, facebook, bing, and so on. I do not want this toolbar at all. I don't make use of it, and it slows things down... not to mention the fact that it makes my viewing window that much smaller. Please, how do I get rid of it entirely? All I want is the navigation bar and the tabs that were there when I first downloaded FireFox. I've tried to uninstall them via the tools menu, but it appears I can't. I even tried reinstalling the browser, and that didn't work. Attempts to follow directions posted on various sites as to how to remove them have not worked either.
