How do I get Safari 1.3.2 back?

eBay had a popup message that said my Safari 1.3.2 needed to be updated to work with new eBay features and provided a link to the update. I downloaded it and installed it on my G3 and then noticed that I had gone from 1.3.2 BACK to 1.2. Yes, 1.2 DID install over 1.3.2. I'm still running 10.3.9.
I also have "localized string not found" showing almost everywhere (where "open link in new window", page titles, etc. should be).
I downloaded the 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 upgrades (1.3.2 won't install unless I have 1.3.1) and the installer says my system won't run this software (1.3.1). I even tried copying the Safari 1.3.2 from my G4 to my G3 and the "localized...' messages still appear. I went back and reinstalled 1.2. I noticed the Safari 1.2 was a 7 MB install while the Safari 1.3.x's were 3.8 MB upgrades.
What next? Reinstall the whole OS?
Tracy

I have looked inside the Safari 1.2 update & it contains the following....
1: the Safari 1.2 application shown as 14.7MB, (9,868,826 bytes)
2:CoreServices.framework
Foundation.framework
WebKit.framework
these are folders which contain various system components. - so the 1.2 update will have overwritten these too (heavens !)
The 'foundation framework' is not included in either Safari 1.3.1 or 1.3.2 - so I'm sorry to say that installing the correct files via those updates isn't possible.
Tracy - you said you have another mac with 1.3.2 installed - copying the 1.3.2 app and the three frameworks over manually should work ok, Let me know if you want detailed instructions on that.
I would also have hoped that installing the 10.3.9 combined update would solve this - but I haven't yet seen exactly what files 10.3.9 combo includes regarding Safari & the three frameworks I mentioned earlier.
Avert your eyes now if not a confirmed 'fiddler' with OSX - the following is of interest to techy-types only....
For anyone interested in all this sort of stuff Unpkg makes seeing & extracting files from pkgs just sooo easy.
The installation checks I mentioned in an earlier post can be viewed by opening xxx.pkg/contents/resources/ & using textedit or some other app to open "InstallationCheck" and "VolumeCheck" found there. These are actually exceutable files, so don't double click 'em. These files aren't in plain english, naturally, but do reveal what's checked before an install is allowed.
