How do I get Safari to switch to new webpages on the same tab instead of opening new ones?

Hello! Recently my Safari has been opening new tabs whenever I click on a link, which is not what I want. I just want to have a single tab open that lets me click on whatever I want and still stay on that one tab. This has never happened before, and it's really bothering me to have to close out of tabs and go back to the original where I started from.
I'd appreciate it greatly if anyone has some advice or suggestions! Thanks!

Okay, I'm confused. I was using Yahoo as my default search engine and as soon as I switched over to Google, it stopped. I don't understand why the search engine would make it do that, but it's whatever now that it's fixed. Thanks anyway!

How can I get back an itunes gift code redeemed by the same gifting account?

I gifted an aplication that I already owned to mi mail so I could resend it as needed to someone else.
I tried right clicking in the redeem button to get the code but instead it opened itunes and automaticaly started downloading the app even wen I allredy had it downloaded and as purchased in my account. Now the gift code is expended and I'm $10 short. Is there any way I can get the code back?

How do i get my contacts to sync so they are the same on my computer, Iphone and Icloud?

from over the years I had a lot of information in my address book that was not relevent anymore, was incorrect or incomplete or a dupluicate. I went through all of them on my mac computer and updated all of the information. As soon as I pluged my iphone in to sync it I ended up with more duplicates, some contacts on my phone not on my computer and vise versa. I checked Icloud to make sure that one was ok but it is different from both my computer and my phone. Now I have 3 different versions of my contacts. How do I sync all three so they are the same so I can start cleaning it up again? Does i matter where I make the changes (phone, computer or cloud)? After I clean everthing up again how do I make sure that the most current and correct contacts are in all three places? Please help it making me a bit crazy at the moment.

That's your problem. You must have 10.7.5 or later installed to have iCloud. Upgrade your computer:

Well "crashed" is a broad description.
1: Does Windows fail to boot and everything else works?
2: Does the computer physically not work? Does the hard drive still work?
3: Did you erase anything on the hard drive?
You see, if Windows fails to boot, one can boot off a cd/dvd/usb key with a operating system on it and recover files.
If the computer physically doesn't work, the hard drive might still work. It can be extracted and a adpater used to recover the files.
If the hard drive is dead, and the content is worth a lot of money, say more than $3000, then it might be worth having a platter recovery service take a look at it for $2000 or more.
But if you overwrote anything on the drive, then your finished.
There is one last option, if you have all your content on a iDevice, it might be recoverable with third party software, ask over at iLounge (can't say it here)

Not easily. iPhoto is designed for a single user. While it is possible to share the Library there are significant limitations.
Some questions: Do you want all three libraries identical? Same photos, same Albums, Same slideshows?
Do you import and arrange photos on one machine or on all of them?
What networking do you have?

How do I get all 'exclamation point' songs to show at the same time?

Please help!
I need to delete TONS of broken tracks... they have all been reimported, but
the same old tracks with the exclamation points remain in my library!
What's even worse is you have to click on each individual track, just to get them to show whether they have the exclamation point? There has got to be an easier way!
Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to make ALL the tracks that are broken, show their exclamation points?

Maybe you can solve your problem by executing the following action :
+Open iTunes in "safe mode" (without external plug-ins) by using the keyboard shortcut Command-Option (while opening iTunes).+
This will open iTunes in safe mode, which disables some plug-ins ...
But normally all exclamation marks will disappear ... at least it solved my problem.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

My iPhone mail app deletes emails from my hotmail. How can I get my MacBook Air mail app to do the same?

When using Mail on my MacBook Air (I don't open it often), i receive hundrends of emails through it, even if those messages have been deleted from my iPhone/hotmail.
When i set up Mail on my iPhone there was an option that enabled deleted/read messages to also be deleted/read on hotmail automatically.
I can't work out how to join up my MacBook mail with this too? Anybody know what I mean and can help??

Comcast is POP email. I have it as well. POP email does not sync across devices. If I read an email on my iPad it will appear as unread on my Mac in the Mac Mail App when I launch it.That's how POP accounts work. The emails will not sync across devices.
