Thank you for the question. I'm assuming you are not receiving any sound from applications when playing video/audio content. If this is the case, the first thing I would check is if the side switch is set to silent as this can cause applications to be mute. I also have a song that I want to play at normal volume in the background when there isn't an audio clip in which I am talking and to reduce volume when I am. What type of connection are you using on your monitoe, if DVI, DVI doesn't carry audio, you will need to use the optical connection for audio.

I have no audio output (external or internal) on my computer. When I click on the speaker is is in gray. When I go to sound in network preferences and go to output it only lists digital output/built-in output and is says the selected device has no output controls. There are no other choices than this. The input sound is working but not the output on the internal speaker or through the jack. Please help.

My computer is not under warranty and it's over 4 hours to a mac store. I did the paperclip thing very lightly as I did feel uncomfortable doing this.

I bought this MacBook Air today, and have just tried the 'snap a picture' option on Dailybooth and my webcam didn't show up. I googled how to get it working and got no answer. I also searched for isight in Finder and it didn't come up.

DailyBooth uses Adobe Flash to access your camera. If you have Flash installed then right click in the video area and select Preferences. There will be a tab at the bottom with a monitor with an eyeball in it. Click that tab end ensure the checkbox that says 'Allow' is clicked. Works fine for me in Safari.

First, do you hear Audio in other programs on the computer?
If so, head on down this reply. If not, then you will want to make sure that your Audio settings in the OS, and possibly the Audio card's console are set correctly first.
If you do have Audio elsewhere, look on the Toolbar at the top of PE, and click on Edit. There, go to Preferences>Audio Hardware.and choose ASIO Settings. This will bring up a dialog box and you will need to place checkmarks in your Audio cards DirectSound Output Port list and Input Port list.
In Sync Reference, DirectSound Input's radio button should be set (right-hand side of box), and for Card Options, Full Duplex checked.
While you're there, check as to what your Audio card is, in case we need to troubleshoot more. It also pays to get the latest driver (these can change weekly) for your particular card.

Since that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.

In that case the procedure assuming it is a PAYG phone is to get an o2 PAYG sim, put £20 on it and then make a few calls making sure you leave £15 on the sim to pay for the unlock. Then there is an online unlock request form on the o2 site just fill this in. It takes between 1-14 days and you get a message from o2 telling you how to complete the official unlock through iTunes.
I got my o2 unlock in nov 09 so this is not just opinion.
