How do I get the Awesome Bar to show up at the top of my Firefox Browser window?
From one day to the next when shutting down my computer to turning it on the next day, the bookmark toolbar, browser address window (& its attendant drop-down history links), Search window, Back Bar (the little arrow you click on to go back one link at a time), etc., all disappeared. At the top of my Firefox Browser is nothing but a gray line where tabs show up. I can, of course, go up to the Firefox Menu Bar at the top of my computer screen and click on File--New Window, but that takes extra time and is quite inconvenient (now that I am accustomed to have convenience of one click searching).
Sorry about the corrupted link. It should have been like Tony posted above.

How do I get facebook and twitter to show up in the new notifications?
I am trying to get facebook and twitter to show up in the notifications if I swipe left.
You should also ask this in the MacBook Air forum. This is the forum for the white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.

Also if you're running Mountain Lion. There's a Mountain Lion Support Community. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.

Hey! I have restarted my computer during the night and this morning, when I opened firefox, the sites I visited before were not showing anymore in my url bar. I did not reset any history or anything. After visiting them too, they don't seem to save in my url bar (they still don't show after I visited them). All my url bar is showing are "suggestions".
Please help, thanks :)Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

In 3.6 when I use the downward facing arrow to view my most used sites, I only get 4 dropdowns. Is there any way to increase the number?
That issue can be caused by the FastestFox extension.
* FastestFox Options > General, uncheck "Enhance Awesomebar"

i have noticed that the album artwork on itunes installed on my phone is missing some of the album artwork when i go to the "album" section of itunes in my phone. How can i get the album artwork to show up
first of all, no one is going to respond to this becuase limewire is used basically in your situation illegally. But let's say you import a cd, left click on the songs you imported and hit get album artwork, if nothing comes up, the album sn't in the itunes database, get it online. And I suggest never to mention limewire and music files on the same post here, since limewire is a file sharing program. Use Itunes, it's easier. theo

How do I get my computer name to show correctly in the finder?
I recently upgraded to Yosemite and following that upgraded to an SSD drive. Life is good and I am happy with everything except that since the upgrades I am seeing a silly variety of names for my computer.
I renamed it to The Shire and now it shows up as The Shire (2) or The Shire (3). No matter how many times I change it back in Preferences > Sharing, it keeps adding all those extra numbers. There are times when I see four or five different iterations of my system - see attached image.
To add insult to injury, the old name of my system, the generic MacBook Pro (5) also shows in the list.
From what I have read this may have something to do with Bonjour, but I have not see any solutions out there for restoring order and correct names to list.
I would appreciate some assistance resolving this.As of now this is simply a workaround for a bug that will hopefully be fixed in a future version of Yosemite. The only impact it may have on you is if you rely on using bonjour connections for any of your peripherals such as a bonjour-enabled printer. Otherwise, you will not notice a problem at all.

This happens for every link, there is no text in the bubble. It seems to be the correct size for the link, but nothing appears. I have an add-on called Noia4 Theme Configuration, which can change the color of text on toolbars, but I have messed with these and nothing has changed, please help!
The text maybe in the wrong color and thus invisible.

How do I get music in playlists to show up in the Library again?
I recently accidentally changed the info on some music along with an audiobook. The original change changed them all to audiobook media type, one title, one author, etc. I have changed the info back on all of them but now a large number of the songs in multiple playlists are only found in the playlists, they do not come up at all in the library.
What happened and what is the fix? There are many programs available to copy files from iPod to computer. zevoneer has posted a great summary many times. I have never used any so I can't comment personally.

I recently downloaded Bearshare.com which then overrode my Firefox "awesome bar". Now when I enter a search item in the search box at the upper right of my screen, I'm automatically shunted to this new search bar where I have to re-enter my search item and click return before it will begin a search. Previously, the Firefox "awesome bar" opened automatically together with my home page and I had the choice of searching using it or the default search box at the upper right of my screen. I 'uninstalled' Bearshare but it now continues to come up when I search using the right hand top search box , forcing me to use it instead of the search box at the upper right of my screen. How do I get rid of it completely so that only the "awesome bar" appears as an extra tab when I open Firefox browser?
First, some clarification:
* The location bar (often called the "awesome bar") is the larger bar on the left that shows you the address of the page you are currently viewing. As you type in the location bar it searches your history and bookmarks for matches.
* The search bar is the smaller one on the right. It typically displays an icon of whichever search engine is currently selected and may display search suggestions as you type in it.
It sounds like you are referring to the search bar rather than the location bar. You can change search engines for the search bar by clicking on the icon on the left edge of the search bar and choosing a different one. You can also choose "Manage Search Engines" to remove ones you aren't interested in using.
It also sounds like Bearshare might have changed your homepage in Firefox. To restore that you will need to open the preferences menu (click Tools > Preferences), go to the General tab (first on the top left), and click "Restore to Default". -
The "Awesome Bar" or "Location Bar" is non existent on home page.
My home page is my Earthlink Account. If I select FireFox I get exactly the same page as when I open Safari, except with FireFox there is no Location Bar aka Awesome Bar.
How do I get a Location Bar??i have the same problem, but i can specified it.
It is not evry time, I have two screens and it's '''only on one screen''' per session - also when i change the FF window.
It's also '''only when maximised'''; like when in fullscreen mode
hope this is helpfull, cause I hope fior help

How do I get a different URL to show up after an email form has been submitted?
I have created a Form in DW CS5 and have some PHP server side code to mail it out.
However, once the Submit button is pressed it refreshes back to the Form - How do I get a different page to show up after the Form is submitted?
I tried using a behavior - onSubmit - go to URL - that gets me to the page I want to go to but I guess it overrides the PHP Form Action because the email will not send.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thank you for the response.
In my form - I have tried inserting a hidden field with the Value set to the redirected page I want to go to
<input type="hidden" name="MM_insert" value="http://www.website.com/page" />
In my form Action PHP Include - I have inserted a header function with the redirected page I want to go to
mail($to, $subject, $body, $headers);
header('http://www.website.com/page');
I have also checked for empty/extra spaces at the start and end of my php tags
None of the above has got me to the redirected page I want to go to after the submit button is selected - the Form page continues to refresh.
Any other suggestions on where I am missing the point would be greatly appreciated - thanks. -
I downloaded firefox to replace explorer. When I did, I accidentally removed the awesome bar. How do I get it back?
Also, I would like to bring over all of my bookmarks from explorer. Is that possible?
Thank you.In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

I do not know how to restore the awesome bar function. All I get now is the AVG Search window when I try to open a new tab.
A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

There is a drop down list from the Awesome Bar containing some of my most frequently visited sites. How can I add URL's to this list?
The location bar drop-down list shows items based on visited count (bonus points and frecency: frequency and recency) and if you have visited other URLs more often then those will replace other websites.
You can't customize this drop-down list and you would have to bookmark websites to have easier access. -
I not longer have a back button. How do I get the Awesome Bar back?
For some reason I do not have the Awesome Bar on my computer? No back button. I have to get off the internet in order to go back. I see all the features, but no way to obtain it.
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
*Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up
