How do I get the best streaming video without the hesitations and breaks?
I have been buying a LIVE broadcast from Abraham-hicks Publication and the speed test says I have enough speed. However during the LIVE broadcast there are many hesitations and breaks that makes me want to go nuts. To pay for a LIVE broadcast and to have it continually break and hesitate, I really want a better experience than the last time I bought a LIVE broadcast...thank you for any suggestions on cleaning up my browser/computer/cookies/etc. cjk
This camera is supported natively in iMovie. You do not need clipwrap unless you have removed the mts files from your camera so they are out of context. iMovie uses the file structure of the camera to determine how to import.
The easiest way to import, if your camera has an SD card, is to use an SD card reader (or an SD card slot on your Mac).
To import, I recommend making a Camera Archive first. This will make an identical copy of what is on the camera. Then, import to iMovie from the Camera Archive.
When you import to iMovie, the AVCHD will be converted to Apple Intermediate Codec for editing. AVCHD is a highly compressed codec, and converting to AIC gives you full I-frames for editing.
When you get ready to send to iDVD, use the SHARE menu to Share in Large size (960x540). You can SHARE/MOVIE and then drag the resulting file into iDVD, or you can SHARE/Media Browser and then use the Media Browser within iDVD to find your movie.
When you make a DVD, you are converting everything to standard definition 640x480. Large size gives iDVD something to chew on without giving yourself the overhead of converting down from 1920x1080 to 640x480.
If you no longer have the files from your camera, then ClipWrap is a good solution.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

It is important not to allow your iPod to sync with an empty library. If it is set to synchronise automatically you will get a message saying your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to sync – it is important to press cancel as syncing with an empty library erases all music from your iPod.
You can also prevent auto sync by holding down shift & ctrl as you plug in your iPod and keeping the keys held down until the iPod appears in iTunes.
Once you are connected, you need to set your iPod to manage music manually.

It's been a long time since I was on here... well here goes(I need a bit of technical help with a question if I may)
This client of wants a flash video player of a model, modeling some clothes.
They are going to set up 3 different cameras around her at the same time filming her - one from the front, one from the side and one from the back. Each clip lasts exactly 3mins and they are filming her at THE SAME TIME.
Now after this, they want to put a FLASHPLAYER on their website with the video playing in a screen with 3 buttons underneath one saying FRONT VIEW, one saying SIDE VIEW AND one saying BACK VIEW. The three separate videos will be integrated in some way with this one flash file.
The video player might start playing the FRONT VIEW first.
BUT lets say 30 seconds into the clip I press the SIDE VIEW button the video switches to the side view on 30 seconds - The side view video doesn't play right from the start. Like I said before for example if the person is speaking and says "hello there", if you switch angle by clicking one of the buttons just at the point after she has said the word "hello", you switch to the angle where he is just about to say "there". If you see what I mean.
As I said before there are 3 separate video clips:- FRONT VIEW, SIDE VIEW and BACK VIEW. Now I am not sure if these have to be embedded in the FLA file or can be contained in a separate folder on the server so that the SWF can access them. I am worry about streaming over the internet thats why I THINK Flash Media Server3 MIGHT be a solution BUT I don't know. BUT they must be seamless.
AGAIN to reiterate...LETS say I am watching the SIDE view 30 seconds after the clip has started and the model starts scatching her head and then AT THAT POINT I click the front view button below I see the model scratching her head from the front view at THAT precise moment.
So all the videos seem to work at the same time to the casual viewer/user and it looks as though you are just switching views whenever you want.
I have been looking all over the net to see if someone has produced a working example or if there is a tutorial somewhere but I have found NOTHING.
I think there might be a problem pulling this one off as each video clip could be 4-5 MB in size and if they are streaming then there would be download problems and these videos might stop due to people with various bandwidth restrictions UNLESS all the videos were integrated into the flash library and were referenced from within by Actionscript but then the resultant SWF could be HUGE.
I would really appreciate any help/suggestions here and any link to any working samples on the NET that I can download and disect at my leisure.

CheersUse Flash Media Server to stream the files.......set up a timer and have all three of them play at once....and have a button switch the streams depending upon which stream you want to play.....and wallah......
you can also capture the stream.time from the video playing and resume from that point on the other videos as well....havent done this theoretically so I dont know how smooth the transistion between streams will be....but it can be done....
plus u may have to use double buffering techniques to make sure it starts up right away......

How do I get a Windows 7 disc without the Toshiba add-ons?
I recently purchased a Toshiba notebook and would like to set it up without all of the add-ons that Toshiba provides. My understanding is that the recovery media won't let me do that, so I need an actual Windows 7 disc.
Since a license for Windows 7 is inclued in my purchase, how do I get an actual Windows 7 disc?
Also, the recovery media creator doesn't work. When I try to run it, nothing happens.
EDIT: I have a Windows 7 disc from another computer - can I install that and use the product key on the bottom of the notebook?

rgamesI think the original poster was saying that the Toshiba recovery media menu does not give the option of recovering to a plain vanilla Win 7 setup. This is also true of other laptop makes I've tried.
If you want to install your own version of Win7 you will have to buy it from Microsoft directly. I don't see the value in that.
I agree with the first reply. It's best to just recover your system to whatever the Toshiba recovery media allow, then delete the elements you don't want. At that point, you can theoretically clone your customized HDD to a 2nd HDD and use that as a backup in the future -- in this case the "recovery media" will be a full working HDD ready to swap out at any time -- and that is my preferred way of recovering any laptop, despite the extra cost (less than buying your own version of WIn7 from Microsoft, by the way). -

Connect the iOS device to your computer restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If it's disabled then it's too late to copy any content off it or to take a new backup, you will have to reset it back to factory defaults by connecting it to a computer's iTunes : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

If you bought it second hand then had the previous user removed their account from Settings > iCloud (and had Find My iPad enabled) on it ? Having trouble downloading, and reading that speed download could be the problem, I trashed it. The trouble is, I trashed the uninstaller along with everything else. Is there anyway to get rid of speed download? Safari quits when I try to download something, like a widget.

How do I get back my original loops without the CD?
I had to get my computer reset due to some sort of compromise and in the process I lost a lot of files. I'm pretty sure this is how I lost the Apple Loops that come with Garageband. My Garageband runs fine and I can create projects and record via input, however I am missing the default drum recordings for some reason. Unfortunately I don't have my MacOS CD or my iLife CD because I was not the one who installed the software on my computer. I was wondering if there is a way to get back the default loops or do I have to find another Garageband Install CD? I even tried reupdating the program but it didn't fix the problem.

According to the specs, there is a trial version of Norton antivirus and other subscription based services, games, Netflix, office 365 pre installed. There are also few other multimedia softwares that were pre installed, which you can get from here:

But rest I think you might have downloaded it later on to your system.
You can do recovery using HP recovery manager software or using the recovery disc/USB you ought must have created after you setup your machine for the first time. Recovering to factory settings would reinstall everything that came with your laptop exactly for MS Office trial version.

I'm not a Luddite but ... Don't want Cloud, too many problems, and don't want to update to iTunes 10.7 if match is included. So the question becomes how do I get updates for my apps without the new iTunes store agreement. I feel as though I'm dealing with Micro-you-know-who and having a bunch of garbage shoved down my throat. And looking through all the questions about software not working properly... I've been there before. What is going on with Apple? Makes me really nervous.
Help, please .............Match is optional (in fact you have to pay extra for it) - so carry on as before.
iCloud is separate from iTunes and is used for syncing - it's generally recommended you use a separate Apple Id for the stores(s) and iCloud anyway - that way the family can share music & apps but sync individually.

Premiere Pro is not reading all of the video content in my AVCHD clip. I know this because my computer plays all of the content through Preview, so the information is on the card. How do I get Premiere to read all of the content?
First, AVCHD isn't just "one" clip, it splits the video & audio into several files each per clip, typically with randomly generated names. The only way they "play" correctly is if the software doing so is able to read from the data file ...in a different folder ... the information that X clip is actually A, B, D, #@, and 456 video clips and TR, #r54, and ert$%4 audio clips. The next "clip" is ... and on and on. So both rapid access to the video files AND that database file are necessary to play the files back, or do anything else with them.
VLC is a fairly decent but simple playback tool. It's nowhere near as complicated nor demanding in its "relationship" with those clips as an NLE like PrPro, which will be trying to do more reading & writing.
Further, many of the preferences in PrPro are natively set so that it writes project, cache, preview, & database files next to the footage. So ... if it doesn't have both a fast enough connection with the data AND space for putting all of it's own stuff there, it tells you it can't work the file.
Therefore ... the need to have the complete data from the card in the exact same folder structure it was in ON the card copied to a "local" hard drive.
