How do I get my tabs back into the main window?

I've had a problem with an add-on displaying a small extra window every time I open a session for some months now: I know you're supposed to try disabling and re-enabling every add-on you've got to find out which one is responsible, but this is a work computer and with all the add-ons I have, it would take too long, so I've just closed the extra window every time and got on with my work. However, for some reason today my forty-odd tabs have all opened in the small extra window, which has no tab bar, navigation bar or menu button. How do I get my tabs back into the main window of Firefox, or alternatively get that window to behave like a normal Firefox window so I can use it?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

I was asked to update my Foxfire which I did but at one point it said I would be prompted to move the Foxfire icon into the applications folder and I was never prompted to do so, therefore I do not know what to do next.

Good luck. It took me weeks to fix this when I had to do it. Your old ID branches out in lots of places. You may have to delete app and get them again, at least that is what Apple told me. Plus, all of your settings on your iPad that required any ID, will have to be changed. My old ID kept showing up in different places for weeks. Changing it on Apple.com is just the beginning.

How do I get iTunes 11 back into the taskbar player?

I had the taskbar player for iTunes 10, and it was perfect. I'm using Windows 7, and now that I've updated to iTunes 11 I can't get the taskbar player back.
The mini player is just not at all as useful as the taskbar player is, and I want the taskbar player back!! How do I get it to do it? I've followed all the steps that worked for iTunes 10.
All the threads in the forums are years old, and not helpful to me.

It's worth noting that the program ONLY minimizes to the taskbar player when you use the minimize button in the upper toolbar - a ridiculous thing now, since it didn't have a problem realizing that I wanted it to minimize to the taskbar player in 10 even when I minimized it by clicking on the program icon in the taskbar.
Is it always going to stay this finicky?!

How do I get a Download icon into my dock?

I used to be able to see a folder of Downloads in my dock. It isn't there anymore and I want to get it back. I tried to go into Applications and look for a Download icon to drag into the dock, but I didnt see anything called Downloads. Any suggestions?

In Finder open a new window and drag the Downloads item listed on the left of the window to the Dock and place it between the line and the Trash - a space should open up to accommodate it - and drop it there.

My screenshots have stopped going to my clipboard. How can I get my screenshots back into the clipboard?

I use Command (⌘)-Shift-4 to grab screenshots of diagrams to make flashcards with on a daily basis. But now my screenshots have stopped going to my clipboard - and they don't paste into my flashcards.
Dropbox popped up and asked me if I wanted to use it to save my screenshots and I said No Thanks, but then right after that my screenshot function stopped working. I can still save shots to my desktop, but I'd love to not clutter my desktop. The screenshots are not going to dropbox either, I checked.
Can someone tell me how to get my screenshots to go back to going into my clipboard?

Thanks Lanny! I actually typed in the wrong command into my question - I meant to type what you mentioned. But I did end up figuring it out: for some reason the shortcut to screenshot into my clipboard changed. I was able to restore all my shortcut commands back to default and it worked again!

There is no iCloud application, therefore no iCloud icon. Think of it as a 'service' that is accessible thru other applications, preferences and devices.
If you use the iCloud web site a lot, you could add an icon to the web site.

How can I get Lightroom 5.7 into the "Open With" menu on an external Harddrive?

Using Lightroom 5.7, I imported photo images as a .dng. I edited the images in lightroom. Then I dragged the file from the local Disk (C) to an external Hard drive (left panel of Library). When I look in the External harddrive, I would like to see thumbnails of the images. I think I would like to open the images in Lightroom but I cannot get Lightroom into the "Open With" dropdown menu. Photo shop, Adobe Reader and a bunch of Windows photo editing stuff is in there but I cant seem to get Lightroom into this menu.

The "open with" command is used to open images that are already in Lightroom in another external editor such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements or some other photo editing program. And you are opening an image that you are already seeing in Lightroom. So Lightroom won't be on the list and cannot be on the list because you are already looking at the images in Lightroom.
Concerning the images that you moved to the external hard drive, if you actually moved them using Lightroom then you should be able to see that external hard drive in the library module library tree and be able to choose that folder. Then the images will be in Lightroom and you can continue working on them. There doesn't need to be any "open with" to do that. If you moved those images some other way, please explain.

I'm a mechanic and my parts supplier brought me this promotion USB button which takes me directly to their special offers page.
Basically it's a preprogrammed USB keyboard that presses the Windows key + R, then types their internet address in.
However, even though Firefox is my default browser, this link opens in Internet Exploder. IE is verboten on any PC I use!
How do I set the PC to use Firefox for EVERYTHING, including/especially addresses typed into the Run command box?
WIndows Vista on this one (I know, it's not my choice, it came with it).

On XP, once you set a default program, it stays like that. Vista seems to have a mind of it's own.
