I have downloaded all of my CD's onto iTunes, and now I plug in the iPod into the USB and it is just flashing Do not disconnect. I connected it, and there are NO songs saved to my iPod...can anyone help me?With the iPod connected, in iTunes go to iTunes>Preferences>iPod and in the first tab whicc is "Music", check that the iPod is set for auto update with the radio button "Automatically update all songs and playlists" checked. It is normal for the Do Not Disconnect message to stay on until update is complete which it should say in the iTunes window.

I have had this same issue but thankfully fixed it. Follow he steps below:
Sync your iPhone with you iTunes therefore your info is backed up. Unplug your phone.
Go to Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
Once your phone has reset and come back on answer the question until it asks if you want to back up from itunes Click this then plug your phone in.
After everything has sync'd back to your phone everything should work fine.

so i have the same problem for two of my apps, one is biike race, and the other game is snap chat. so each time i open one of these games i repeatedly get the "connect to itunes for push notifications" box coming up, and im unable to play the game, and i have to click my home button multiple times to get back to the main screen. i dont understand why this is happening and maybe you could help me out.There are a few other threads in this forum regarding this issue. It appears to me that this was once an issue with the iPhone, but has now started up again after the upgrade to iOS 4. My iPod Touch is ~ 2 years old and has had absolutely no problems. It is not jailbroken or altered in any way.
This pop-up started for me after upgrading to iOS 4. I did the restore to factory, reinstalled my apps and the problem returned. It appears my push notifications are working, which is good, but I have to click through the pop-up every time I enter an app that uses notifications.
This will go away when Apple fixes it. -

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

I lost my iTunes library on my pc when the hard drive crashed. None of the data on the drive was recoverable and I did not have a backup either locally or on the cloud. Much of the music is from old vinyl and podcasts which are no longer available.

Are you sure it's not 6.1.6? If it is, that is the latest iOS version that will work on a 4th generation iPod Touch. Later versions require a 5G iPod which has twice as much RAM.
