How do i get the connect to itunes screen off my phone
i tried to update my software to ios 6. and now my phone will not do anything and has a screen that says connect to itunes. what do i do? i connected it to itunes and tried downloading the software twice.. but didnt work.
You need to do we hat the Connect to iTunes screen is telling you to do. connect your device to your computer runningitunes and restore the device.

Can't get passed "Connect to iTunes" Screen after removing phone from bag of rice.
My phone recently had water damage, so I put it in rice for 2 days and then plugged it in. It showed the black screen with the apple symbol and then shut down and did this about 12 times. I put it back in the rice, and after taking it out after a few hours, it boot up normally to my "unlock" screen but then went to a screen saying to hook it up to iTunes. I then restored the phone to where it said it was complete but then it asked me to restore it again. I did that, and now it says it is unable to restore because of error. What should I do?
Ohh and it's only about a month old and it's a iPhone 4.

I was in the middle of the iOS 8 update and tried to turn my phone off (yes, I realize this was dumb) But what happened was it tried to reset. Now, my iphone 4s has the connect to itunes screen. I have tried to reset, recover, etc but I keep getting and error -51 message. Any ideas how I can get my phone working again? I am not worried about saving any info just having a phone to use!
Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message. -

I have had this same issue but thankfully fixed it. Follow he steps below:
Sync your iPhone with you iTunes therefore your info is backed up. Unplug your phone.
Go to Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
Once your phone has reset and come back on answer the question until it asks if you want to back up from itunes Click this then plug your phone in.
After everything has sync'd back to your phone everything should work fine.
