How do i get the notes on my iphone to the notes app in mountain lion

Upgraded to Mountain lion. I have an iphone 4S. In Lion i had all my notes synched and viewable in the Mail app as (on my mac). Now all the notes from "on my mac" are gone but they are still on my iphone under "on my iphone". I cant seem to figure out how to synch my notes to get all my notes from the Iphone in the notes app on my macbook. any ideas?

Notes between devices sync with icloud so if you signing in in icloud in iOS and choose icloud as default account the new notes you create should sync and appear in your computer.
About the ones on my mac try use my mac by default then and/or sign out and in with icloud may then they sync but no sure ..
In the future better use just icloud.

The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts.

Take your Mac to a location with a fast, relaible Internet connection that will be all yours during the duration of the download.
If you want to complain, PLEASE call Apple and do so.
Internet only downloads of OS X is completely stupid, it assumes everyone has reliable Internet everywhere and /or no data caps.

Notes.app in Mountain Lion leaves multiple messages on Google Gmail account!?

Hello, I've set up the Notes app in Mountain Lion (10.8.2) to sync with Google Gmail Notes and I've come across something rather peculiar. I typed a Note into the Note app, it created a message in the Gmail account with the label "Notes" like I read it was supposed to do. (I'm still baffled why they designed the Notes sync this way but that is besides the point.) Then I proceed to update the note in the app and it updated the note in Gmail. I though, "sweet, it's working," so I began typing away. After imputing a bunch of notes into the Notes app, I went over to Gmail and clicked on "All Mail" and to my surprise there were HUNDREDS of partial messages left behind by the Notes app! Apparently everytime a note is updated and the Notes app syncs with Gmail (which is every few seconds), it creates a new message.
I know that a work-around solution is to just use iCloud, but I haven't found an easy way to sync up iCloud Notes with an Android. I know, I know, I should just get an iPhone and call it a day, but for those that use Gmail Notes, has anyone found a solution? It's so annoying!!
(I wonder if Apple did this on purpose so users will switch to the much easier iCloud and iPhone. Hmmmm.)

I had the similar issue. I did the following to recover my notes before the upgrade:
You need to locate the StickiesDatabase under your Library folder.
Once you have a copy of your StickiesDatabase under
/Users/<insert_your_home_directory>/Library/StickiesDatabase
Export stickies created by Stickies.app
Install National Velocity (NV) - http://notational.net/ and start the application
In Finder open your Library folder and locate StickiesDatabase
Drag StickiesDatabase into the list of notes in NV main window
After you are able to see your notes in NV, it is up to you how to transfer them to Apple Notes. You could export as HTML/RTF etc or copy paste manually... I have decided to use NV from now on.

dear all,
has anyone encountered any problems when trying to use a scanner (mfp hp laser jet pro 1415) from the preview app in mountain lion?
in lion it used to work properly and it was pretty quick. with mountain lion it takes like forever to scan one page.
is it just me?

thanks. using the hp softwre is an option and to be honest i havent tried i yet. the reason is that i prefer preview as it is much better.
i tried image capture, which is very good but still trhe same issue..
i hope that there is an update soon.

The ipod is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
