How do I get the on-off button to work again?

I have an iPod nano, 6th generation. The on-off button has stopped working, therefore I can't turn off the display screen until it does it itself and when I'm away from my wall charger, I can't turn the iPod on to change a song.
The button doesn't even click anymore, it just gives a little push but no click.
How do I get this fixed? My warranty has just run out, too.

Hi, madperson! And thanks for your reply. Yesterday, when I posted my query, I had already ran FF in safe mode and checked all (and few) ext/addons I have. The problem persisted, so I posted my question. This morning, however, the glitch seems to have cleared itself! The New Tab button and the "+" icon both work like before! Don't ask me what happened, I could not even begin to try to explain. Anyway, here are the ext/addons I have: Norton Vulnerability Protection; Personas; Flash Video Downloader; Groowe Search Toolbar (which was suggested by Mozilla); and Yahoo Toolbar. Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it.

You need two fingers on the trackpad before clicking to activate the right click. The button is essentially a single click no matter how left or how right you click.

How do you get the Photos 'subscribe' button to work.

So i've been trying to figure out how to use the 'subscribe' button in iphoto. I'm guessing this means someone will get an email everytime I post a new photo, if they click subscribe? When i click it on my site it goes to a 'page not found' page. Here's my website: www.southbaycruisers.com

I am using Firefox 3.6 on my PC , and now, when I select File New Tab (Ctrl+T), no new Tab shows up. Nor does it show up when I click the new Tab symbol next to my other tabs. How can I get the New Tab feature to work again?

In the past 48 hrs, all of a sudden, the New Tab feature on my PC< using Firefox 3.56, simply stopped working. I did not change settings, or download a new version of Firefox. it just stopped working. There are other scenarios where it does still work (for example, if I want to open a link on a web page, I can right click and open the link in a new tab), but if I simply want to have multiple websites open at once on my PC, I am forced to have multiple versions of Firefox open, as my New Tab option seems to be disabled or something. Can you help?

Yesterday the scroll bar on Firefox was moved from the right to the left of the screen and the webpages do not scroll when using the mouse scroll wheel.

The iPhone has a proximity sensor that will turn the screen off if you hold the phone up to your ear. Don't hold it inches away hold it up close and the screen will go dark, hold it away from your ear and the screen will come alive.

I grabbed it and dried it straight away and made sure to get in all of it, and it was fine, everything worked. But about an hour after the on/off button stopped working, so i have to use the home button to unlock it and have to wait for the screen to turn off after 1 minute of leaving it. I cant turn it off and dont know how to fix it. Will it go away on its own, do I have to send it off to get fixed? I am able to see any photo I took on the iPad using the iPad camera (in iTunes, photo stream, or when I open windows explorer and browse the iPad director), however I cannot see any photos transfered from my camera to the iPad. The camera connection kit must have put my photos in a directory I cannot get to and cannot sync.

You delete the app as you do any other app. Hold an icon until they wiggle. Tap the "x". This is covered in the manual.

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Try cleaning the lens and see if that will restore functionality to the DVD drive. Use a DVD lens cleaning disk, if you have a can of compressed air, shoot some into the slot or wrap a fine microfiber cloth (eyeglasses cleaning cloth) around a business card and insert it gently inside the slot.
If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and get a free diagnosis from them.
