How do i get the PAD to send docs to the C8180 wireless printer

We have an IPad that works well with the wireless adapter, however we can't get it to print to the HP Photosmart C8180 wireless  printer.  We have a Toshiba laptop running Windows XP.  The printer doesn't show up when we scan for printers with the Ipad.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your iPad will not print directly to your printer since your printer does not support Apple's AirPrint.  You could try HP's ePrint app on your iPad, but what you can print with it is limited.

How do I get the apple wireless mouse open to replace the battery?

Thank you!  I am 71 also, and broke a fingernail trying to get the thing open, thought there must be a trick to it.  After many attempts, when I had your reply it opened right up.  I think Apple delights in making people look stupid.  Love the machines, but dislike the smooth surfaces with no obvious switches to run the machine itself.  Computer is still not "discovering" the mouse, so there may be some further problem to be resolved.  The whole setup worked fine until a few days ago when the computer started to lose the mouse now and then.  I thought probably the mouse needed batteries, as I just had replaced the contemporary batteries in the keyboard.
I'm retired, too, in Portland, Oregon, USA, and write poetry (though not for advertising agencies), get lot of rejections and an acceptance about once a year.

  • How do you get the Apple Wireless Keyboard to accept function keys?

I use the Apple Wireless Keyboard with my iPad2 and I use the VPN to connect to my work-related software which requires that I use some of the function keys as actual F1, F2, F3,...etc.  When I hit F2, the iPad2 responds with the Screen Brighter action.  How do I get the keyboard input to just be F2?  Thanks!

Thanks. But I tried that and nothing happens.  I've looked though all the System Preferences sections and can't find anything on this.

  • How do I get the date to print at the bottom right of a page

fI can't get the date to print at the bottom of a page. I go to page setup and header/footer and ensure that date/time is entered into the lower right corner box and the date still doesn't print on a page.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

Try setting your bottom margin on File > Page Setup > Header & Footer to .3 or .4
You probably are not seeing the date at the bottom in Print Preview either.
On my system, with HP 6200 series, I experience the same problem if my bottom margin is set to 0 (zero).
You may experience the same problem with headers with a 0 (zero) top margin.

The HP Smart Print icon used to appear in the Firefox toolbar. I had to reload Firefox. the icon no longer appears. How do I get it back? I am using Windows 7.

HP Smart Print (formerly HP Smart Web Printing) is supported only in <u>IE 6 and later and is no longer supported on any other browser</u> ---- that was a decision made by HP, not Mozilla.

  • When Printing a message from mail, How do I get the Icons to print?

When printing an email message, I'd like the attachment's icon to print so I can see what the file types and the names of those attachments are.
    How can I do this?
I DO NOT WANT to print the attachment, only the icon to be displayed wnen printing.

How about just the file name of the attachment? How can I get this to print?
I need this to print in order to match up saved attachments to the respective messages when preflighting incoming files and then distributing hard copies.

  • HT2513 How do I get the location to print in the monthly view?

Is there a way to get the location to show as well as print in the monthly view?  The events that I'm concerned about are 'all day' events in a separate calendar.

Rich media in PDF isn't designed for print workflows so you cannot control what appears - you should just get a bitmap 'screenshot' of whatever the viewport was displaying at the time.

  • Simple question, how do I get the date to print on pictures? Using IPhoto 11

I just want to print a my husband's photo's with the date on it. IPhoto does not show how and I am new to Apple. Please help with this very simple or should be function.

Well, I usually do not want a time stamp on my photos; however, I had occasion to take some pics to prove damage in a warranty claim, so I changed the settings to include the date and had absolutely no problem with that process on my Mac. I use Canon cameras. I do not use Canon software and you do not need camera software either. Unlike Windows, the Mac can read camera cards without the help of additional software and it  includes Image Capture - if iPhoto doesn't do what you want - try Image Capture to get your pics on the desktop and then simply open one with Preview to see if you can see the time stamp. If you can see it, it should be printed.

  • Why am I getting sharper printouts from Windows Photo Viewer than PSE 7? This was not always the case. has something in my settings changed? I have tried all obvious solutions but no change. How can i get the best image print outs from PSE?

I prefer to print from PSE as this allows me to set  picture dimensions. Windows photo viewer does not give this flexibility. I am using the same PC, the same printer and the same print file, yet the outcome from each software option is significantly different. WPV is sharp and bright whereas PSE is softer. Can any one help me?

  • How do I get the system to print-out a date at the bottom of page?

When I am at a website and ask for a print-out of the page -
the current date and time of print-out no longer appears at the lower right corner of page.

I have resolved the problem. I will not use your time attempting to explain the process of elimination. However, the end result---
I had taken delivery of a new printer mid-January - it is a HP OfficeJet 6000 (E609) - I wondered if that might be the problem - since I could not ascertain exactly when the print-out problem had presented itself.
O.K. I logged on to the system and brought up the "Google" page to ask for a print-out. I checked for a print - and when the print box appeared I checked on "properties". That showed - to the left: "General Everyday Printing" and over to the right: Page size "A4 210 x 297mm" also the option "letter 8.5" x 11" and Legal 8.5" x 14" - so, I changed it to ask for the "letter - 8.5" x 11" - then I checked to "print" - I believe it was the "OK" - and the "Google: page was printed intact - showing the data generally associated with the top of the page and the date/time at the lower right.
I placed a telephone call the HP this morning to ask them about the "A4" option and was advised that it is a "standard size paper" - but could not explain under set of circumstances it would be applicable.
Hopefully, this data will be helpful to someone - thank you very much for your assistance in this matter.

  • Can't get the ipw3945 wireless working

    Hi everyone!
I'm new to arch linux and I was wondering, how do I get the "ipw3945" wireless card in my laptop to work. I thought I followed the instructions carefully in the wiki, but nothing seems to work. It even tells me that it does not detect one. But I know it is there because I use Ubuntu, have used Debian, openSUSE, Fedora, and others, and they use the same driver.
Can anyone help me figure this out?
    Thank you.
