I recently purchased a new MacBook Air and I need to know how to get the songs off of my 2007 MacBook onto my new one without use the iCloud.

I've recently changed computers. I installed iTunes on my new laptop and I plugged my iPod into it, the songs I bought from iTunes were transferred but the others originally from CDs were not transferred. I had an old mac desktop that I had all my pictures on, so when I got the newest desktop i downloaded all my pictures on to CDs but my new mac wont open the pictures up in iphoto. I think it's because iphoto has bean updated alot since my old mac. So when I put it in an old mac laptop it worked. and I could download my pictures to iphoto. But I really need them on my desktop and im not going to spend days and days emailing picture by picture to my desktop (because there is a lot of pictures) someone please help me!

Restore will attempt to download the same version of the app that you had installed previously. If that version is no longer available, the latest version of the app will be restored.
If you are using iTunes Match (U.S. only), you can download any of your songs, albums, or playlist from iCloud after the restore is complete.
To check if the restore is complete, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.

Restore from the iCloud backup - assuming that you were backing up to iCloud in the first place. If you weren't using iCloud for backup - then you are out of luck.
If you were backing up to iCloud - you have to erase all contents on the iPad in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings - before you can restore from the iCloud backup.

So I've looked on all the support pages but I've got a feeling there is nothing that can be done with this, hopefully someone can help!
We moved to the US and while our computer was being sent over it got water damaged so I lost all of my itunes library. And I didnt back it up properly. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Once a song is in iTunes, it doesn't matter where it originally came from - it will transfer from one machine to another. The only problem would be where the song is a DRM iTunes Store purchase and you used up all your 5 authorisations, but this doesn't apply in your situation.
