I purchased an iBook using iTunes on my laptop, It downloaded to iTunes OK. I then changed the apple id on my wife's ipod to the same apple id on my itunes. The purchased ibook will not sync to the ipod AND using the ipod, it will not display the purcchased ibook. Same siutatio with my ipad. Any answers ... before I decide never to buy anything from apple again???

Is this Book configured to sync to your iBooks app via each devices Books configuration pane in iTunes? Plug one of the devices in and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. Locate the Books tab along the top and click on it. From under this tab you can configure what and how audiobook and iBooks sync to your iPod, iPad, or iPhone.
If you do happen to make any changes from under this tab, be sure to click the Apply button to sync any updated changes to the device.

My mistake, it was nothing to do with format. It woldn't sync because my movies were HD. HD movies won't sync to an iopd classic 160 GB but when you purchase a HD movie, itunes gives you a SD vervsion of the movie which is compatible with the ipod. Just needed to go to store, click movies, click purchased and untick the HD box and there you have the SD versions. Download the SD versions and then sync your ipod and bobs you uncle, movies are on the ipod

CDs don't contain artwork, Both iTunes and WMP download the artwork from online sources, in the case of iTunes it comes from the iTunes Store (if the album is available in the store). If the artwork isn't available in the store you can add a suitable artwork image manually. If you can't find the album covers you want from iTunes you can get them from various other sources. I find this site is a good source of artwork: CD/Album Cover Art Search from SlothRadio.
Another place for finding suitable artwork is to go to Amazon. You can also locate artwork using Google image search and put the artist or album name. Locate the album from any of those sources, right click on the image and save it to the desktop, once it's there drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Once you've added the artwork you can either delete the original file or keep it in a folder somewhere in case you need to use it again. Alternatively there are programs like these that help locate artwork: iTunes Art Importer or MP3 Tag
If you have a scanner you can create your own artwork files by scanning the CD cover itself, this is particularly useful when you are dealing with rare recordings.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Certainly you did not restore your computer without making sure that your backup copy was up to date.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

How can I get the store to keep my filter settings while browsing apps (with iPad)

While looking for apps via(and for) my iPad, often I will start with a simple one word search term, then use the category, rating, price, and product filters to narrow my search - works great.
BUT if I select an app to go to it's details page, when I navigate back to the previous page, all of the filters have been reset, and I've lost my place in the list even if I was 6 pages in. This also happens when I re-open the app store after I choose to install an app.
Why, Why, Why?!? This kind of poor user experience is so 1975.

There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync with one computer, iTunes library, or account. See this article for different ways of managing multiple iPods.

Is it possible to get a paid app re installed from an upgrade? I had a trial version upgraded but the upgarde failed but I was still charged for it.

What is new is not necessarily needed and what is old is not automatically obsolete.
I have a 2004 12" iBook for those things it is capable of performing just as britny advised. For instance I have Mac OS X 10.4.11 installed (rather than 10.5.8) so as to be able to use Classic Mode. The many Claris Works, MacWritePro, and Claris Draw files I have can't be opened with newer programs so the iBook with Classic solve the problem. Also the many excellent games and graphics programs from the OS9 era are useable.
If you decide you need the capability of a newer Intel Mac I would recommend keeping the iBook as a bridge to the past.

Delete the broken links in iTunes then look at your purchased list to redownload.
If this happened because you were deleting files from the iTunes folder in Finder, don't. You have to let iTunes do all the deleting and moving or you will end up with broken links.

If you don't have a backup then the only possible solution is to go back to the store and see if they can get your old phone and create a backup of that. I know very often that Apple employees will wipe the returned iPhones clean before shipping them back to wherever they ship them.
When you say your old phone was "broken" does this mean it is dead and won't turn on?
Do you have a Time Machine backup of your computer, or a clone that might have this info on it?
Other than that I hate to say you may be out of luck. Time Machine and/or a cloning program performed regularily will inevitably save your a** in situations like this.

The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. Before Maverick, iTunes would backup everything in my iBook app on my iPad. If something ever happened to my iPad, all of my created ePubs would be lost and I would be screwed. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. I may have to do that if there is no other way, but I am hoping someone will have the answer for me. Pretty disappointed in iBooks app for Mac at this point.

If you are getting an 'invalid security code' message then is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
