How do i get the touchpad to act like a mousewheel?
i have an HP Notebook, i believe it is the 2,000. it uses Windows 7
is there any way i can use a mousewheel feature from the touchpad without an actual mouse?

i don't know what multitouch means, in regard to a touchpad.
i will look for the synaptics touchpad driver on google.

The back button used to work many times before it would reach the end of its list of pages I had been to recently and became greyed out, but now it will only work once before this happens. Also, the list of pages that pops up when I right click it now only has two entries no matter how many pages I've visited on that tab, the page I am currently on and the page I most recently left. Previous to the installation of the update to version 4 however, the list that appeared when I right clicked on the back button contained up to 10 items.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

The screen sleeps when the magnet in the cover is close enough to the face of the computer. The sensor is on the face of the iPad just below the volume buttons. If the cover is not close enough the magnet may not contact the sensor. The magnet in some covers may shift and not be in the correct spot anymore.
My leather cover doesn't close all the way anymore, just a little warped with age and use. If I swivel the cover so the volume buttons are on the inside the magnet hits the spot easier.
I have elastic to hold it closed, that helps also or, Place it upside down. -

My iPad2 side switch is acting up, it will only allow me to have either sound or rotate. If I unmute the rotate won't work, if I mute the rotate works. How can I get the iPad to unmute and rotate? I have restored, downloaded updates and rebooted.
You should be able to control the function that the side switch isn't controlling via the left-hand end of the taskbar : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085 - is the icon that appears there (notification mute or rotation lock) indicating that that function is 'off' ?

How do I get the Numbers application iOS 7.0.4 unstuck updating on iPad 2?
How do I get the Numbers application unstuck in updating on iPad 2? After the last update of iOS 7 it started acting up. Then weeks ago (in November) I opened the application right after iOS 7.0.4 update and while accessing a file it got stuck, some files are white and I can access them. Other files are gray and I can not open them. The application goes white when it first opens up instead of just opening then there is a delay, then it eventually opens. It is stuck updating.
I have tried various things. 1) Rebooting, 2) hard reboot (holding down the off button and home key until the apple icon appears), 3) tried putting it in Airplane mode-reboot-then connect to computer and iTunes-then rebooted. 4) tried opening a file in another application- I get an error message that says : can't open spreadsheet- this spreadsheet is updating, wait for it to finish then try opening. 5) sending spreadsheet- I get an error message that says : this spreadsheet is updating, wait for it to finish then try sending. None of these have worked.
I am at my wits end I use these files for my business and I am self-employed, some files I can't access at all, this is very serious for me. If you know how to fix this please help me. I transferred all of my NECESSARY and IMPORTANT client files to Numbers from Excel, I've been using Numbers successfully for about 1 year.Better to post your topic in the developer community > Developer Forums: Apple Support Communities

When I turn on Messages, I can't see my messages. All I can see is a screen with horizontal lines. How can I get the regular Messages screen back?
The same is happening for me. Today I decided to reboot my PC because it was acting up a bit, go figure, and then for some reason at the same time the PC was restarting my macbook froze. I had to do a reboot with the restart button but then all that came up was a gray background and in the middle of the screen was a darker gray folder with a white question mark in the middle of it, blinking. I can't imagine why the restart would've affected my macbook. After finding information on how to fix this, I tried all of the steps that were given about using the mac OS X disk to use the first aid utility to fix it. When using the Disk Utility option whenever I select my hardrive and am in the First Aid tab, the only button I can use is the Verify Disk Permissions. The other three buttons, and namely the most important Repair Disk button, is/are not selectable (grayed out). I then tried resetting the PRAM the way they also said with the command + option + P + R and waited for the second startup sound. After that I gave the Disk Utility a second try, but still nothing. And now if I try to just reinstall the OS completely I can't even select a destination volume on the third step (Select Destination). Apparently this means i'm SOL.

Where does the program find the music as what has come up is not complete? Question 2. How do you get the program to look in a particular drive for the music that is there?
CheersWhere are you trying to put the folder? At the top level of the volume? That top level is only writable by the system (or an authenticated admin, which is why it's asking for your admin password).
If you are trying to move into a folder, repeat the "Get Info" on the folder into which you are trying to move. You want to see that your current account has "Read & Write" privileges.
Yes, third-party NTFS drivers can affect the behavior of volumes they control. (One could say that is the whole point of their existence.) They are supposed to be act just like native volumes, but they don't always succeed. I have no specific knowledge of whether Tuxera NTFS drivers would cause the problems you are seeing; I use a different brand.. -

Well I'll guess you're using iPhoto 11:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Delete the broken links in iTunes then look at your purchased list to redownload.
If this happened because you were deleting files from the iTunes folder in Finder, don't. You have to let iTunes do all the deleting and moving or you will end up with broken links. -
How can I get the iCloud/iTunes password for my (now) deceased Father-in-Law's iMac? I have a list of his passwords, but nothing works! I know his email, but that account has been cancelled for security purposes, so we can't just request a new one. I tried his security questions to no avail.
ThanksSince that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.
