How do I get to my launchpad features after downloading a new app?

HHeelllppp! Whenever I download a new app, my launchpad turns into a catalog of my apps and the apps normally shown by the launchpad (including the App Store) are nowhere to be found. The only recovery I have found is a re-boot. Where have the launchpad apps gone, and why does clicking on the launchpad icon in my sidebar give me just my own apps? ???!! ;-(

Thanks Carolyn. Unfortunately, this didn't work. It turned out to be in my display monitor as I have my computer wired to my tv for streaming. Once I changed the monitor display it worked fine. Go figure

How do I get Microsoft office to work after downloading Mac OS X Lion?

If I try to open Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint I get hte folowing message:
"You can't open the application Microsoft Wod because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

How can I find out how old my Office:mac program is? It cost $149.99 at the Apple Store. I think it's only 3 years old. So Apple wants to kill Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.? Fine, a fair warning would be appropriate. I would not have "upgraded" if I knew $29 was really that plus upgrading everything else.
That's totally unlike Apple to not be able to access common documents when doing an upgrade.

As Michael indicated, if you purchased the software from Adobe, you can log into the Adobe website with the Adobe ID (email address) you used when you purchased the software to download it. However, Acrobat 8 isn't really compatible with Windows 7. Some users have been able to get it to work properly, but it was never a supported configuration for the software.

You can not do that using Adobe Acrobat 9. Adobe never made a create PDF add-on for Firefox for use with Adobe Acrobat 9. They created a Firefox add-on for use with Acrobat X, but currently that one does not work with Firefox 4 though Adobe are working on an update.

The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

How do i get the share music feature to work i have already selected to share them on my network, but i went to another computer and i don't know hot to see the songs im sharing.

One computer on the network would need to have "Share my music" activated on the Sharing tab of the CTRL-, screen.
Another computer on the network would need to having "Look for shared music" activated on the Sharing tab. Then so long as there are no firewalls are other obstructions that keep one computer form seeing another, the first person's library will appear in the Source pane on the second person's computer.
The limit is five shared libraries per network.

I have an iPod that was synced to another iTunes library on another PC. The PC died and I replaced it with a MacBook Pro but it keeps saying the iPod is synced w/ another iTunes library. How can I get the songs on my iPod on the new iTunes library?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
