How do I get Toshiba Canvio to mount to Airport Extreme so that my PC laptops can see and share it?
I can see it when I go to Airport Utililty. Enable File sharing is checked, I chose to secure shared disk with a passord. Below all of that there is some info that reads: "These setting configure Windows File Shairing". but WorkGroup and WINS server fields are blank and I wouldn't even know what to put there. Any help with this would be super. My PC's hard drive is just about full so I really need to dump some files and start using & sharing this new external hard drive.

Well even tough no one has replied to my post I'm going to update it with what I've figured out on my own so far.
I figured out how to format my hard drive from NFTS to FAT32 by Googling that question and using a free download. Still can't see the hard drive yet BUT
I did plug my HP printer into the 4 port hub and then downloaded Bonjour Print Services and within no time at all I was able to print wireless from my PC. Yeah
So I'm still going to keep working on getting my PC to recognize the HD. The Airport Utility shows it on the disk tab so I know that it's good to go on the the Airport Extreme side of things. Now if I can just get Windows to see it.
Slow progress is better then no progress.

I have PC running Windows 2000. For my job, I access a hospital VPN at home. In my home, I am able to set up the Extreme Base Station for wireless conductivity with computers in my home and all have access internet wirelessly. No problem.
The problem is that I cant get it all to work together. How do I configure the base station to recognize/allow the VPN client to enter my network?
I currently have WEP 128 on. The computer used for VPN is hardwired to the base station. Even with security turn-off, I cant access the VPN via base station set up as it is.

PC Windows 2000I recently got my roommate's Lenovo t43p with VPN to finally work with my Airport Extreme.
1. Open the Airport Utility
2. Double click on your Airport Express on the left side to open up the panel.
3. Click on the "Internet" tab and then select the "DHCP" tab.
4. Click the "+" sign under "DHCP Reservations"
5. Create a name for the profile like "XP Work Laptop" or whatever, and then click Continue
6. You'll need to get your Windows laptop's MAC address which is sometimes under your laptop on a sticker, or you'll have to dig through XP's ridiculous Control Panel to find it.
7. Enter your laptop's MAC address in the field.
8. Lastly, in the 'IPv4 Address" field designate an IP address for your XP laptop that is within your router's range, if you're not sure of the range, the "IPv4 Address" range should be auto-populated with an IP address and you can just try it with that, or if it doesn't work you can change the last number to something higher but no more than like 4-5 digits more.

I just purchase an IPhone5C to upgrade from my IPhone4, but I do not know how to get all of my photos that were on ICloud on my Photo Stream (875 photos), on to my new phone. I thought that since my 5C can see Icloud that all photos would be there... Can someone help me get the pics from my Iphone4 to the 5C?
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there (subject to a 1,000 photo limit) until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device. -
How do I get rid of the pop-up on my ipad2 that wants me to login to iCloud for an account i changed to a new userid?
It is an iPad 2, 64GB, with wifi and 3G, running the latest iOS 8.1.2, with 43.7 GB available. I am not using the cloud. Everything I need is backed up, so loss of the information on this device is not critical.
About 2 years ago I canceled this account and created a new one when I abandoned my road runner email and change to gmail. Tech support talked me through the transition then and it is fine on all my devices (iPhone, Mac-mini, Macbook Air) except the iPad 2, which i use the most. The same thing happened to my mothers iPad 3 a few months ago, with the same repeating pop-up after changing email/appleid accounts), Apple support helped me restore hers, but mine is no longer a covered device.
This issue started about a year ago, I can cancel the pop-up but it continues to returns, it went away for a few months, then somewhere in the last few months it started happening daily, now it cycles through about every 5 - 15 seconds. Can't do anything, I have reset the iPad 2 all that did was delete my existing settings, it will not accept the old password all I can do is cancel it (until it returns again).
Need the directions to delete the old appleid and accept the new applied on this device.Does this apply?

How do I get a PDF document put into an attachment form that I can drag to an e-mail. Usually I get an icon showing an spiral note book which then becomes an attachment when I drag it to the e-mail, but occasionally it stays in PDF and prints out on the e-mail. What have I done differently?

Firefox 20 changed from the old Download Manager to a new Download Panel. You can find a complete write-up here: [[Find and manage downloaded files]].
I suggest keeping that arrow around since it provides handy notifications. You can use the Customize feature to drag it down to the add-on bar where it won't take up as much space. To start customizing:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Customize
* tap the Alt key > View menu > Toolbars > Customize
If you really don't need it, just drag it to the Customize dialog. You can always come back for it later if you like. -
How do I get my bookmarks back, I downloaded version 4.0 that said it is compatible with all versions of OSx. Which it is not!!! So now it won't start FireFox, before I do anything else how do I get my bookmarks back?
THe phone is NOT jail broken.. all i want to do is have it return back to how it was before i started the updae version process obviously it did not take and now it is locked into plave the screen will not change.. after reboots and shut down when i turn it back on the same screeen appears the cd disc with the music note over it and the arrow pointing upwards and a picture of the small end of the charge cord that fits into the actual compute.. The phoen is not jail broken all i want is to get my phone back so i can use it i logged into i tunes and there is no where on the page that gives direction to return it back to its original format prior to trying to up grade .. whe at do i need to do to unlock the frozen compent and reutrn it back to its normal point prior to trying the upgrade

Keep in mind that with the iPhone, you can sync all iTunes content with only one computer. Trying to sync iTunes content with a second computer will result in iTunes erasing the content from the first computer. However, non-itunes content such as contacts, calendars, mail settings, notes, etc. (anything in the Info pane) can be synced from another computer.

How do I get my web pages back to original size? My fonts are all too large and keep reverting after I change them back!

Hi, 80 % of my itunes files are located on a 3tb external drives; the remainder on a 4TB drive as I ran pout of space. ALL my files are on copied on to the 4TB drive . How do I get iTunes just to use the files on the 4tb drive so I can use the 3tb for other purposes THX .
Select the desired location in preferences, then consolidate the media files to it.

Sounds like you are using a Layout template. These you have to manually link from textbox to textbox.
Try using a Word Processing template, it lists them in the sidebar of the Template Chooser.
