How do I get tracks in the right order?

I've syncd my albums onto my Nano, but on one of them (a musical) the tracks are in the wrong order. I don't want the finale in the middle, etc. I've numbered the tracks, and in Itunes they appear in the right order, but on the Ipod they're mixed up. What should I do to get them into the right order?

Barkingmad in Colorado here.
1. plug in nano
2. select the play list of the work you mentioned (if still in the music main list make a play list just for this work).
3. in the pull down menu View select View options
4. check mark the box Track number
5. go back to the play list for the work and click on the heading called " Track # " and it should put the list in order. If it is reversed click on the heading again; note the little triangle changes direction. Some times this is a bit tricky to make work. For the sound track to The Thomas Crown Affair it would not keep the songs in order in my shuffle but seems to work right in nano.
