How do I get tv shows on my iPod without using iCloud?

I bought some tv shows on itunes, but for some of them I need icloud to move them to my ipod. I have a pc and my ipod is an older classic one and it doesn't have wireless and such. I can't download through icloud, but the tv shows are still on my computer, I'm just unable to create an iCloud account and so can't get most of those shows I bought from iTunes onto my iPod. How do I get them to sync?

That simply means the video is not actually on the computer.
What leads you to believe it is on the computer?  A listing in iTunes does not mean it is on the computer.

First, the app must be universal...designed for both iPhone/iPad:
    Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
    Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
Locate the app in your Purchased tab.
    Tap the download icon.
The app will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your home screen.

  • How do I load music on a new ipod without using itunes?

I am having tons of problems with getting itunes to pull up on my computer. I believe that my computer has a pretty nasty virus in it and it is causing problems with many of my programs (internet explorer, norton, and other programs). I am having my computer worked on later this week so I hope to get the virus taken care of. In the meantime I would like to load some music that I already have on my computer on to my ipod without using itunes.
When I connect my ipod via the USB cable and pull up that drive I see the files: Calendars, Contacts, and Notes. I am assuming that I need to create a "Music" file that I will then drag-and-drop the MP3 copies from my computer to the newly created file. Is this correct? If not....then what do I need to do?
Thanks for the much needed help.

For just synchronizing music tracks with your iPod, you could get third-party utility such as.....
    Anapod Explorer
    XPlay
    EphPod
    vPod
....for handling the music transfer (Google for them and others). Some may not work with your OS, some might.

  • How do I get iTunes to recognize my iPod without losing all of my music?

I keep all of my music on an external harddrive. My computer crashed and once I fixed everything and reloaded all of the software, I tried connecting my iPod. All of my music is on the external harddrive and on my iPod, but I can't get iTunes to synchronize. I don't want to redo all of my playlists. Is there a way to get iTunes to communicate with my iPod without losing anything?

  • My iPod touch screen doesn't shut off. The auto lock is set for two mintues, and everything else is working fine. I've noticed it only fails to shut off when in the music screen. How do I get the screen to shut off without using the lock button?

Please help. This is really annoying and it runs my battery down. My auto lock is set to two minutes. I've checked several times. Thanks.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How do I get personal movies onto my iPad without using iTunes

    Hi,
I have several "movies" - like ones my kids made using iMovie on their their ipods, clips of my kids playing their sports, and other non-tradional films that i would like to keep and add or subtract to my liking from my iPad (3rd Gen). In iTunes i have pretty much "cut the cord" - the only items that synch with itunes are the videos that I mentioned (hollywood videos I purchse through iTunes I access through the iCloud now) and photos with Aperture. I really dont want - or need to synch with iTunes anymore - the user experience is so wonderful going with just the iCloud and my Dropbox. But I really want the freeedom to add a personal video to my iPad w/o having to synch - it takes FOREVER and always has a glitch of some sort.
In case your thinking to just use the dropbox - I know that... but it is internet dependant then - and play back is not what i'd call "Retina worthy" - and you can't save Drpbox video to the iPad's HD.
Does anyone have another method that is working for them??
I love being "bareback" with the iPad and don't want to go backwards.
    Thanks in advance!

    UPDATED
Background: You can transfer photos and movies made on your camera and recorded to an SD card directly into your iPad using an Apple Lightning SD Card Camera Reader.  So all you have to do is convince your iPad that the SD card with your other movies (ripped DVDs etc) came from your camera.
    1. Your movies need to be in a format your iPad will read - .mp4 or .mov work well.  For DVDs, you need to rip it  into .mp4 files - I use Xilisoft DVD to iPad Converter which works well.
    2. Store these files someplace convenient on your hard drive.
    3. Rename the .mp4 files so they have EXACTLY 8 characters in the file name without any spaces (digital cameras create 8 digit file names).
    4. Format your SD card folder structure so that to your iPad, it looks like it came straight out of your digital camera.  The easiest way to do this, is to format the SD card in your camera and then take a single photo on the card.
    5. Attach you SD card to your computer (via a direct SD slot or a USB adaptor) and navigate through the SD card's folder structure to find the photo to took on your camera.
    6. Copy all the video files that you want to watch on your iPad to the SAME location as the photo file.
    7. Eject the SD card and insert it into your Apple Lightning SD Card Camera Reader and it into your iPad.
    8. Go to the "Photos" icon app (not the Videos icon app) and follow the usual transfer instructions from the iOS.
Note that unlike movies in the Videos app from iTunes, the video files loaded this way appear only as a video icon with the time length of the file.  ie No files names are visible, therefore you may need to write a short note identifying each file name according to its play time.

I believe that my computer has a pretty nasty virus in it and it is causing problems with many of my programs (internet explorer, norton, and other programs). I am having my computer worked on later this week so I hope to get the virus taken care of. I am aware of the many different virus cleaners and checkers that are free to me on the internet and I do plan on using them. But right now the issue is time. I don't have any. I am leaving tomorrow morning on a trip and would like to have my nice new 30gb ipod loaded up with some music that I already have my laptop to pass the time on the flight.
Again I do not need a pitch for using itunes....I know how cool it is and I plan on taking advantage of it as soon as I return and have time to fix my computer issues. I just need to know how to load what I already have on to my ipod.
When I connect my ipod via the USB cable and pull up that drive I see the files: Calendars, Contacts, and Notes. Sorry jrock,
You can use iTunes files to load other mp3 players with music files but iPods don't function like other mp3 players. You can't just load mp3's onto an iPod and play them, you have to use iTunes.

  • How can i find my iPod Without using iCloud? I had it enabled

I was at school and somebody stold it, now i tried using the app but it doesnt let me because it says iCloud isnt enabled . Please help?

If you activated the Find My iPhone service (in Settings>icloud), and if the device's batteries still have a charge, the device is not turned off and has not been reset and is connected to wifi, then you can try to track it.  Using a computer, log into icloud.com and look at the Find My iPhone page.  On a device, invoke the Find My iPhone app (get it for free at the itunes app store) and log into the icloud account.
If the device is listed as "offline", then one of the requirements listed above is not met (like being connected to wifi, or if the device was stolen and the thief reset it).

  • I bought a HD TV show accidently instead of SD The show will not loador play on my ipod claSSIC. hOW DO i GET THE SHOW TO SYNC AND PLAY ON MY IPOD?

I bought a HD TV show accidently instead of SD, it will not load or play on my ipod classic. How do i get this reformatted or what to get the show on my ipod?

To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available.  You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

  • How do I get to show my history in my favorites?

How do I get to show my history listings in my favorites??

I'm pretty sure everything from the 'Songs' list on the iPod is automatically alphabetical. It's the same on all iPods as well. Maybe you have some other characters in front of the song name or perhaps you're looking at a song list through another list such as 'Artist' or 'Genre'?

  • How do I get my iPad2 to connect to TV using AirPlay?

How do I get my iPad2 to connect to TV using AirPlay?

Thanks for your helpful response. I do have an Apple TV device that is hooked up to my TV & router and is working OK. I can link to iTunes on my main computer and stream photos etc OK. The Apple TV device also links to internet OK.
What I can't get to Apple TV device to do is link to my IPad2. I followed the instructions on using & setting up  Airplay, and found the Airplay symbol OK,. When I tap it it shows my iPad & Apple TV. When I tap on the TV symbol it doesn't show the dialogue box indicated. I can't seem to get the iPad to stream from Photos, and the iPad doesn't show up on the TV under Computers.
Clearly I am doing something wrong, but what?
    Any ideas?
