How do I have my bookmarks appear within my home page when opening firefox

Dear Firefox,
After an embarrassing amount of frustration, I was able to sync my bookmarks from my desk top PC, to my new MacbookAir...so proud of me :) All of my 690 bookmarks are on my Macbook.
On my desk top PC, when I open Firefox, all of my bookmarks are immediately visible on the left side of my Firefox homepage which is yahoo.com. I would LOVE to have this identical manner of opening Firefox on my Macbook and seeing the bookmarks in their various folders, all on the left side of my opening homepage. As of now, I have to go to the top of my Firefox homepage and tap on "bookmarks"....I'm glad they are all there, but it would be awesome to have them displayed without the extra step. Thank you mha007, your suggestion has always been my "go to" when I was using my PC. Maybe I'm too "green" when it comes to my first Apple lap top....It didn't work for me when I clicked ....but here's what I ended up doing...I played....on my Macbook, I simply went to the very top Firefox bar. I went to "View", and scrolled to "Sidebar". Within "Sidebar", I clicked on "bookmarks"....and voila, it worked like a charm.
P.S. Guess what! Because of you I just tried something. On my Macbook, there is no CTRL button....there is a button that says the full word "control", and that's what I used along with "B"....it doesn't work. I just tried my Macbook button that says "command", and then tried the "B"....WOW, how easy was that....it worked! Thank you for responding to my post.

I would like to have my bookmarks appear permantly on the left of my Firefox screen. How do I do this?

On earlier versions of Windows and Firefox I could have my internet bookmarks listed down the left side of my Firefox window.
All I seem to be able to do now is to click on the Firefox tab on the very top left of the screen and select Bookmarks/unsorted bookmarks to get a list but it isn't on my Firefox screen permanently

Adding to Tylerdowner, after you have pressed '''Ctrl+B''' and the bookmark window appears on the left side, make sure it is open at the time you exit from Firefox. On doing so, this bookmark window would reappear automatically when you start Firefox again.

I know how to do this if the form is on a different page, but i'd like the form to appear on the same page as the report and only when the button is clicked.

I did the following, but it didnt work....
1) Created a hidden item on the page, and in the Default Value field, I set the value to N.
2) Created a button in the report with the following values under "Optional URL Redirect":
Target is a: Page in this application
Page: 4
Set these items: P1_SHOW_FORM
With these values: Y
3) Created a form of HTML text type with the following values under "Conditional Display":
Condition Type: Request=Expression 1
Expression 1: P1_SHOW_FORM='Y'

When I open a new tab/window its blank. I have Firefox open to my home page Google, and I want the new tab/window to default open to that if I haven't chosen a web site to go to in the new Tab/window.

You have multiple old Java Console extensions that Java did not clean-up during updates. You need Java Console only if you do Java programming/development or debug Java applets on web pages. You can see them in Add-ons > Extensions, '''''but you can not remove them from there'''''. Removing them will not affect the functioning of Java on websites. You can '''''manually''''' remove them, '''''if you do not do Java development work''''' to avoid future, possible problems/conflicts:

A new tab now appears over my home page which is set correctly; the same tab appears when I want to print from internet and I CAN'T PRINT.

You need to make a copy of the bookmark to have it appears more than once.
If you click the star then you modify (edit) the existing copy of the bookmark.
You can also drag the tab or globe/padlock to a bookmarks folder or the Bookmarks Toolbar to create a copy.

It depends on several things:
If your call recipient is another iPhone, your name won't come up unless you are in that person's contact list.
If your call recipient is a land line capable of displaying caller name and telephone number, but all they see is your number, then your cellular carrier needs to fix that. Contact them and ask for your name to appear also.

Sure, you can encrypt your document while converting it. However you will have to use your Microsoft office for that.
Please refer to the above screenshot & follow the steps :-
1) Open Microsoft word with your word file.
2) Click on the 'Acrobat' tab on the top.
3) Then choose the Create PDF option form below.
4) A pop up window will appear asking you to save the file as PDF, however before saving the file click on the 'Restrict Editing' option.
5) Again a pop up window will come up on your screen, you can choose for the Encryption method & password protection option in order to secure the document.
6) Once done, Save the file.

The web site http://web.nessplus.com/en/ appears as my home page although I repeatedly set it to be http://www.msu.edu with TOOLS option.
It was an accidental download of a program that was supposed to convert file formats. It does not appear in my Control Panel so I do not know how to uninstall it.
