How do I have two apps open at the same time on full screen?

As above - I want to work on word and the internet at the same time. I have resized the screens to half but would like them both to be on full screen. I did manage to do this by accident once (I think) so I'm sure it can be done!!

Don't use any full screen options for any app that has them
Mount your device and double click on it to open it. Drag this window to the upper right of your Desktop and resize it to a bit less than half of your Desktop.
Open the next folder and position it on the lower left side and resize it so you can still see the previous window.

My husband and I both use facebook. I used to be able to open one browser under his name then another under mine. Since i downloaded the new ff4 I can only get on one at a time and it signs me out of the other. How do I fix this!!!!!

I was wondering whether, with the new management scheme, it would recognize the external libraries as source images, linked to my main library, so that when I'm connected to the external drive, they appear in my main library, fully editable, but when the external is offline, they appear as linked offline previews.
In other words, will the other libraries be suitable as "other" source folders?

I don't know if it would quite work like that, but you could import all the projects from those other libraries, then use the new tools to move the master files back to those external drives. Then you would essentially have what you were looking for, which is one central library with some master images held offline in case you needed them later.

Of cause if I'm trying to open up something else than mail, lets say iPhoto, it will say "iPhoto".
This is very weird to me, and I'm normally pretty good at solving issues myself, but I'm stuck with this one.

I've had this quite a lot too. Do you find that under these conditions you can't load a disk image either?
At first I put this down to Rosetta taking up a lot of resources. I was running OmniWeb with a lot of pages open in the workspaces so I've switched back to Safari until OmniWeb is UB. This morning I read that having Windows file sharing switched on helps to cause this problem. I switched this off, rebooted and ran disk utility to repair disk permissions and I've been running OK since then. I've currently got 13 apps open plus Finder and Widgets. They include 2 bigguns, Eclipse/MyEclipse and Visual Paradigm for UML. It'll probably stop working now I've written that.
I run a MBP 17 with 2GB memory. My guess is that Windows file sharing does cause problems. I just hope Apple has resolved this in 10.4.7... whenever that is.

How to sync with two computers (not at the same time), I'm registered with one computer and am trying to connect with second computer with same iPhone. To sync the first time with the second PC "Firefox Sync Option tells me Create New account or Connect, when I connect it gives me a Passcode and on iPhone it also gives me a Passcode, than how do I connect? Both the iPhone and PC gives me a Passcode and have now idea what to do with them.

Are you saying that you can't open a new window using {Ctrl + N} or with File > New Window?
If so, something added to Firefox is blocking the opening of new windows, and you need to do a little troubleshooting to discover what is causing that fault.
Try the Firefox SafeMode.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Users cannot have iPhoto 11 open at the same time

I am having the problem that if both my Wife and I are logged in, we cannot both have iPhoto 11 open at the same time. We have separate libraries, so it's not a library sharing issue. I thought it might be a permission issue, so I:
1)copied both libraries to an external Fat32 drive to get rid of the permissions,
2)then copied them back to the Mac,
still could not open my iPhoto if she had hers open and vice versa.
I wanted to eliminate all possible permission problem possibilities, so I:
1)re-formated the mac,
2)and did a fresh install of 10.6 off the retail DVD,
3)applied all updates,
4)and installed iLife 11 off the retail DVD.
I then just opened iPhoto under her account, created a new library, then tried the same under my account, and it still would not open. I just get the grey window with a pin wheel for hours.

I heard from my friend that I cannot have 2 browsers open at the same time. He said that it will damage the computer. I have an iMac with the intel chip. I do somethings online that I need 2 browsers open for long periods of time. Is this okay?

Yes of course you can. I have run Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Opera simultaneously.
