    user632863,
    Please, have a look at the example again:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:129
    There is a popup LOV and it will be hidden depending on what you choose from the radio button. The trick is in using the proper function for hiding not only an element but the entire row.
    I think this answers your question. Please, read the code explanation underneath.

  • How i avoid this window and directly fetched date

    hi master
    sir i have three options button when i select anyone then my query change and fatch new data
    but before fetching data system show new windows with this message
    Do you want to save the changes you have made ?
    with yes / no /cancel button
    sir how i avoid this window and directly fetched date
    or how bypass this message
    please give me idea

    bro, when u execute the query to fetch records it tries to validate the form and pops an alert message. if u want to avoid it do this
    change : execute_query;
    to: execute_query(no_validate);
    now it wont ask for validation of the previous records present on the form, but make sure such actions are not not a threat to data integrity.

    Since you're using a non-public build of JDeveloper, you should be using a non-public forum.

  • How to pass parameter in popup

    hi how do i pass the parameter in the popup
    am in jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
    Edited by: adf009 on 2013/03/19 9:40 AM

    Hi,
    This can be done in many ways,
    * Using popup fetch listener.*
    you will find this method in popup property pellette.
    Create a new method using edit option in this popup fetch listener using property inspector.
    Now go to the bean and write your logic to get the parameter from current page and pass it to the popup.
    This method written in popup fetch listener will be called whenever this popup is getting called.
    Since you are using popup fetch listener this method will be a better option.
    You can also pass the parameter to popup using actionlistener method in command button. but in this case you have to remove the "show pop up behaviour" from the button instead you have to show the popup manually.
    hope these info might help you :)
    regards

  • Help: How to use JWindow as Popup

    Hi there,
    I am developing a program & I wanted to design it with a screen like the Mac OS (tiger?) desktop. That is menu (button bar) at the bottom of the screen (the program's screen - Not the OS).
    I thought I should use a JWindow to do it.
    HOW I WOULD LIKE THE POPUP TO BEHAVE:
    - Only appears when a user moves the mouse towards the bottom of the screen.
    - To disappear (hide) when the user clicks somewhere else on the screen [when focus is lost(?)]
    - To change its position relative to the program. That is, if the program is resized etc...
    I NEED YOUR HELP ON
    The design issues I should take into consideration. I mean interfaces I should implement etc...
    Thanks in advance.
    Yours,
    Me

    Okay, sorry for the late reply, I dont go on the net much.
    With the focus issues, it could be very tricky to know when exactly the Window has lost focus cause a component within the window could still have the focus, hence the window would be in focus.
    One way, could be to add a common FocusListener to all the components within the window by using a recursion method, and allow this FocusListener to determine when all the elements within the window have lost focus, so as to call the window hiding function
    public void addFocusListener(Component c, FocusListener fl) {
      c.addFocusListener(fl);
      if(c instanceof Container) {
         Container cn = (Container)c;
         for(int i = 0; i < cn.getComponents().length; i++) {
             addFocusListener(cn.getComponent(i), fl);
    // also the focus listener could be like this
    class FocusChecker implements FocusListener {
       public void focusLost(FocusEvent e) {
          Component source = (Component)e.getSource();
          if(popupWindow.isAncestorOf(source)) {
              if(!popupWindow.isFocussed()) { // check if the window has a focussed component
                 moveWindowIntoHiding();  // call the method to hide to window
    }This is just a general guideline. Think around this to hide the window when it looses focus

  • How can I hide an app on my iPad2 with iOS5?

    I would like to know how I can hide an app on my iPad, but still be able to use the app?

    Demo's answer explains how to hide it in iTunes... but if I understand correctly, you're trying to hide the icon on the iPad screen but still have the app on the iPad? There's no way to do that. You could put an app in a folder, which isn't exaclty hiding it, but is the closest you can come. If you enable restrictions the app will be hidden, but that only works for certain apps and you'd have to turn off the restrictions to use it.

  • How do I hide HTML hyperlink code in Blog comments?

    How do I hide HTML code for hyperlinks in blog commments? Here's the background:
    I happily and easily include text hyperlinks all over the place in my website, using iWeb. I can even do this when creating a new entry in my blog. In all cases, the actual HTML code is hidden, and the hyperlinked text is, as usual, in a different color (to indicate that it's a link).
    However, let's say someone leaves a comment to a blog entry, and I want to respond using the Comments box when I'm viewing the blog online, via Safari or IE or Firefox. And let's say I type a word that I want to also use as a hyperlink, that will take someone to another website.
    So far, the only way I've discovered to add hyperlinks in a Comment is to actually type the HTML command right in the Comments text box (then add my name, URL, type in the secret image verification code and click "Add Comment").
    When the new comment, with hyperlink, appears on the blog entry page, the hyperlink is active -- however, the entire HTML code also shows up. For example, here's what appears, on-screen, when I want someone to click "here" to get to my website landing page:
    Click (a href="http://www.davidalanmoore.com")here(/a) to go to my homepage.
    NOTE: I used parens instead of carats in the line, above, in order to show what actually happens in the real world... unfortunately, this forum is so well done that it actually read my carats, created a real hyperlink and hid the HTML -- which is what DOESN'T happen in the blog comments!
    How do I hide everything but the word "here," without losing the hyperlink?
    Thanks in advance!
    iMac Intel Duo Core and iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.9)
    iMac Intel Duo Core and iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Yes, the http:// part does make it become a hyperlink, as in the example I noted in my question. That is, the hyperlink works... it's just that all of the HTML code that makes it a link is also visible.
    For example, take a look at the following sentence, that includes a hyperlink -- a hyperlink for which Apple's Discussion Forums automatically reads the HTML correctly, hides the code, and turns the text for the word "here" into a different-colored hyperlink:
    "Click here to go to the comments page where I'm having the problem."
    Now compare that hyperlink to the way a hyperlink actually appears in a "Comment." Click the word "here" in the sentence just above this one. You'll be sent to a blog entry on my website. If you look at the fourth comment on that page you'll see what iWeb does to a hyperlink: it creates link that works, but it also shows all the HTML code (e.g., "(a href="http//..... etc., etc.).
    I'm trying to make that code invisible in the Comments, as it is invisible on these discussion boards. (See two paragraphs above: a link, but no visible HTML code.)
    I'm not sure if I'm making sense... I'm just trying to be thorough so people don't accidentally waste their time answering a question I'm not asking. Bottom line, I don't want the HTML code visible, on-screen, when I create a hyperlink in a blog comment.

  • How can I hide a JPanel?

    I have some JPanels and using the mouse motion listeners you can scribble on them. I want to be able to switch between these panels but the problem is the drawings get wiped off when I use repaint() and frame.add(panel).
    Any ideas how else I could try doing this?

    Ok thanks everyone. I've taken the MyPanel class from here http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/painting/step3.html
    class MyPanel extends JPanel {
        private int squareX = 50;
        private int squareY = 50;
        private int squareW = 20;
        private int squareH = 20;
        public MyPanel() {
            setBorder(BorderFactory.createLineBorder(Color.black));
            addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() {
                public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e) {
                    moveSquare(e.getX(),e.getY());
            addMouseMotionListener(new MouseAdapter() {
                public void mouseDragged(MouseEvent e) {
                    moveSquare(e.getX(),e.getY());
        private void moveSquare(int x, int y) {
            int OFFSET = 1;
            if ((squareX!=x) || (squareY!=y)) {
                repaint(squareX,squareY,squareW+OFFSET,squareH+OFFSET);
                squareX=x;
                squareY=y;
                repaint(squareX,squareY,squareW+OFFSET,squareH+OFFSET);
        public Dimension getPreferredSize() {
            return new Dimension(250,200);
        protected void paintComponent(Graphics g) {
            super.paintComponent(g);
            g.drawString("This is my custom Panel!",10,20);
            g.setColor(Color.RED);

            g.setColor(Color.BLACK);
            g.drawRect(squareX,squareY,squareW,squareH);
    }Now if I use this class to make two panels, how can I hide one and bring the other one up and vice versa, using two buttons? setVisible() still doesn't work properly.

  • How can I hide a field a table from SE16

    Hi all,
    I have an urgent requirement, can anyone help me? How can I hide or mask any field of a table from SE16. Also how can I restrict the user not to put a restriction on a particular field of a table so that this field should not be accessed for SQVI/SQ01.
    Awaiting for reply.
    Useful answers will be rewarded immediately with full points.
    Tnx.

    You could hide the column, by using the standard functinoality of the ALV output, you would need to hide the column, and save a default layout.  This way the next time you come into this display, the column will not be there.

  • How can I hide a text label as I would a control or indicator?

    As I have multiple indicators that must have the same identifier to the operator I can not use the indicator label as the items identifier. At times I want to hide the indicator and label. How can I hide the label? Please recall a text label just sits on the front panel as desired. It isn't within a raised or lowered box. In the attached sample I would like to hide "MyLabel" when the date indicator is hidden.

    Test_Label.vi ‏35 KB

    Heres a way. Its a little involved, but it will work:
    1. Customize a control or indicator to remove the border (I used a string control)
    a. Right click on the control or indicator, go to Advanced Customize
    b. Click on the wrench on the tool bar to enter edit mode
    c. Select the border and drag it off to the side
    d. Reduce the size of the border to a single pixel (it wont let you delete it)
    e. Rubber band a box around the 1 pixel border to select it and use the cursor keys to move it within the white space of the string control. It will effectively disappear. You will NOT be able to move it with the mouse as LV will try to resize the border instead of moving it.
    f. Using the color tools suck up the background color of your vi and paint i
    t into the white space of the control.
    g. Make the control the correct size to hide your label(s). Make sure it is right as you will NOT be able to resize the control outside of the customize function (i.e.: while on your front panel)
    h. Click on the tweezers to go back to customize mode.
    i. Give your control a descriptive name
    j. Right click on the control, go to Visible Items and uncheck label to hide the label.
    k. Save your new control
    2. Back on your front panel, place your new control over what you want to hide and programmatically make it visible or invisible as desired.
    I have included a copy of your original vi, modified to hide and unhide your label. I have also included the customized string control that accomplishes this. You may resize the control as needed by customizing it as described above.
    The only disadvantage to this method is that if you want to hide multiple labels they must be in the same area of the front panel. Otherwise you must have seve
    ral hiding controls.
    An advantage is that you will not have to make the original control or indicator (i.e.: the date indicator) visible or invisible as it can be hidden as well.
    Hope this does what you want.
    Good Luck.
